Paid another visit to Fronk's for dinner. Being a fan of the Spicy Mother Clucker sandwich from a previous visit, I decided to order it once again as well as try the Red Eye Sammy.
The Spicy Mother Clucker was as delicious as the last time I had it. I love the seasoning of the blackened chicken and the flavor of the chipotle ranch. The Red Eye Sammy (BBQ pulled pork sandwich) was also good and a lot better than I anticipated. The flavor of the BBQ sauce didn't overpower the actual flavor of the meat which is great. The habanero relish gives it a kick and the fried egg supplied the oozing yolk. If you've read any of my previous reviews that involve anything with an egg, you'll know I love egg yolk haha.
To wash it down I ordered a Fronken Punch. It's very lite on the alcahol but very refreshing nonetheless. Definitely worth a try. Another satisfying visit...good food and good service.
Visit Dates 6/16/2016 and 8/29/2015
My God this place had some great food. Amazing customer service. Generous, borderline gluttonous portions. Their brownie desert is a must... It literally melts in your mouth, chewing is optional (brownie, ice cream, peanuts, chocolate, and whipped cream).
For food: Ribs could have been more tender, but flavor made up for any toughness. Sweet potatoe firs could have been thinner and crisper, but flavor and season compensated. Sliders were amazing.
No hard liquor, but homemade sodas and craft beers were great.
Came here for a quick bite at dinner. The place is great! Really nice restaurant/bar. Nice outdoor areas and patio. Really good and friendly service. Had the habanero burger. DELICIOUS but tooo spicy lol. Maybe just a bit less spice and would have been just PERFECT. Really generous with their portions as well
Best Burgers. Fronk's has a brand new location and it looks great. The tasty Burgers are still a must try and the Menu is humongous . Their menu will satisfy everyone in your party with many creations to choose from and their service is always a plus. Fronk's Is a food lover's dream.
A Delight in Bellflower. While Fronk's sits in its location humbly as somehwhat of a "Hotspot" I decided to go over there recently to check it out again as it has been a couple of years since I've been there. They are a BBQ spot, but are more known for their creative and tasty burgers. Everything is fresh and homemade and they rock a most bodacious selection of hot sauces to put on your food if you like. I love that they even have Chipotle flavored "Tobasco!"
Service is incredible here. It is so welcoming, kind, attentive, and fast.
There is plenty of room for seating as they have both booths and regular tables.
They specialize in a tender, juicy, well seasoned Pulled Pork, but is just that...Pulled Pork. I made the mistake of thinking it was a BBQ Pulled Pork and that it was going to be swimming in their glorious sweet sauce, but nope. Fear not though. If you'd like it that way then all you have to do is ask.
There is plenty of parking available.
I definitely recommend checking out Fronk's. Their Onion Rings are incredible. You can either order them in a half order like I did or a full order. They are homemade of course.
My new favorite restaurant! The ribs are incredible- thick and perfectly seasoned and the beer battered corn is absolutely delicious. Reminds me of food I would find at a country fair. The owner is so sweet and the service is excellent. What a great find!!! :)
Amazing at first. Found this place by accident as we were searching for a route around LA traffic. Started off with the fried corn on the cob and a house made vanilla soda. Loved them both. Corn served very hot temperature-wise. Great batter on the corn is also used on other fried veggies and onion rings. Tried the Fronkenburger and a cheeseburger for the main course. Burger meat is quality tasting. The rolls are too thin to survive the entire meal and the burger gets messy quickly. Fronkenburger is loaded with onions and bacon all the way to last bite. Overall a 7.5 / 10. The cheeseburger was good but ordinary (6/10). We were, however, most disappointed in the fries. Home made fries, some golden brown and perfect but most were undercooked and the potato used was green under the skin - the kind we throw away at home when making fries. We ended up removing about 3/4 of the fries from the plate. We would try it again for the pulled pork. But will stay away from the fries...
The burgers are the best just got around to having one and it was worth the wait
Awesome. I travelled all the way from the east coast of Canada to eat at Fronk's and was it ever worth it. Had a chocolate coake float, fried zucchini, sweet potato fries, Fronkenburger and onion rings. Stuffed and satisfied. Make the trip!!!
Oh Yeah!. This place has got it. I have tried the pulled pork nachos, ribs, and 5 different burgers. Most all the sides are good to great, but the house salad dressing is not my favorite. I never order desserts @ places, but the godiva chocolate brownie peanut butter sundae is no joke. Get ready for a nap. It is AMAZING!!! All in all, Fronks is definitely worth the visit, and might just go into your restaUrant rotation like it has mine. ENJOY...
Eat at FRONK'S!!. You won't be disappointed!
Very Tasty!!. Fronks is a great place to eat! The pulled pork Sammy and Spicy Mother Clucker are excellent. Try the blackened chicken nachos for an appetizer. The atmosphere is cozy and the food will make you want to come back to Fronks.
Delicious!. Impeccable flavors and food combinations. The bacon jalapeno cheeseburger is the best burger i've had in a very long time. And the sweet potato fries really rounded out the flavors. Though it is a little hard to find, it's defintely worth it. We will be back...there are so many entrees to try!
Staff is super attentive and kind. Relaxed environment.
OMG!!!! Just the kind of place we were looking for. The owners are super nice and very atentive to the customers. The sweet potatoe fries are the best I have ever had,the seasoning on them is amazing....we will return
What's wrong with Jeff X. There isn't a soul who has visited this restaurant that thinks the way you do. You obviously have some childish beef with the owner or you are connected to a competing restaurant.
Sad to see you defaming a great place and someones lifestyle and family the way that you do.
This tiny place had the best ribs and pulled pork around. Not to mention the BBQ sauce was off the chain.I can see why it took 3yrs to get the sauce right! The owner even gave us a free Easter hot fudge sundae! I think I found my new spot.
Mmmm... Mmmm good! We just finished our first of many meals to come. The ribs were cooked to perfection, before I knew it they were gone and I was sad... But the soup and the garlic tortilla chips helped to console me. My husband, went straight for the fish and chips, being an affcionado of said dish, he was in heaven! The atmosphere was very welcoming.... Was like having a meal with good friends . We didn't have room for dessert but we will be back for Jessicas brownie ala mode with Reeses PB sauce for sure.... That is if we can get Jaime to share... Can't wait to return!!!
Soooo GOOD. This is honestly one of the best eateries in Bellflower, make that the Lakewood/Cerritos/Paramount areas!!
Superceded all of my expectations and defenitely tops Johnny Rebb's (local restaurant)!! Must try their chicken soup and garlic chips...they're awesome =)
There are certain foods that people get the most passionate about. Pizza, Mexican food, and hamburgers are the items that get the most comments and arguments on my blog. People always think that their local spot for pizza is great, or that the Mexican restaurant that they eat at every Friday night makes the best carnitas. Burgers are probably the food that gets the most debate on these pages. Everyone seems to have an opinion, which I love, because it just means I get to try more burgers. That's what brought us to Fronk's. After I declared that G Burger is my favorite burger place in OC for now, a reader of the blog, Debi, wrote me and told me that I must try Fronk's in Bellflower. Although not in OC, she claimed that it was right up there with the burgers that she had at G Burger. I wrote down the name, checked out the menu, and waited patiently for the opportunity to try Fronk's. That chance came about a month later. We got roped into
Home like atmosphere with amazing food and drinks to go with it. Lots of heart and attention went into their food and drinks... And it shows. Hand cut fries to dried fruit garnish for your cocktails. Our first visit but won't be our last. Thanks for the awesome experience! Hit up Ryan who is one of friendliest bartender there.
With regard to the front of the house, if you go and Val is your server, you're in great hands.
Lemon drop was very well made. It's unfortunate they ran out of both Chambord and St Germain.
The mixed berry lemonade was extremely tasty and plentiful!
As a lifelong lover of onion rings, these were made perfectly! The french fries were made from fresh potatoes, my fault I didn't request they be extra crispy. The medium well patty of my blue cheese grilled mushroom burger was sublime.
The fried pickles were Spears for the first time for me today. The combination of crunch and salt was perfect!
The grilled shrimp 🦐 were precisely cooked and superbly seasoned. They were supposed to be inside the red sauce wet 1lb. burrito (which my mother thoroughly enjoyed) so the discount given in lieu of not remaking the burrito was greatly appreciated. And it gave me the opportunity to taste the shrimp that would otherwise not been available to be shared. Stellar customer service from Val! Would have been 5 stars if not for the back of house.
As for the back of the house during a pandemic you need to keep your hygiene up a lot better. I informed the bartender there was no soap in the woman's bathroom. Went back to my seat and waited 10 minutes and they still hadn't replaced the soap. 😒 Unacceptable. 4.5 stars
Excellent place for food, drinks, and great service!
The service was fast and friendly.
My friend love the Mac & cheese. It was great.
Overall I highly recommend this place for anyone seeing this review!!
Love this place, perfect to watch the game and eat some bomb food and drinks.
Loved our waitress Tori, she was super nice and had our mimosas bottomless 🥂
I have been a fan of Fronk's since they were located at their original little cozy location. It was introduced to me by my brother when we lived in Bellflower. The customer service has been top notch even back then. I would often see the owner greet customers, check in on customers and just provide an overall comfortable environment - it was great to eat at Fronk's.
Fast forward to their beautiful location on Bellflower boulevard. I see a lot of the same especially in terms of tasty (really TASTY) food. I love their BBQ menu items but yesterday I realized how delicious their sweet potato fries were!
Me and my partner ordered: a half slab of ribs, pulled pork with sausage plate (with sweet potato fries!) And a Maple bacon cheeseburger with bacon cheddar fries.
Delicious. The food was fresh, warm and just overall great quality. The customer service? Which I feel is a huge part of the experience was amazing as well. We often had servers check in on us or give us refills whenever they saw our drinks low. They asked us if we needed anything often. It really took me back to the essence of Fronk's and it felt great.
It's also a great place for sports! They have amazing sports decor, a bar and the service translates perfectly to the bar staff.
We watched the Dodgers a couple years ago and even though they lost to the cheating Astros it was very bearable because of the delicious Fronk's food!
Had a great experience! Our server was great, she had the big eye lashes. She answered our questions about the menu and came by before we ran out of drinks! I ordered the chicken sandwich w fries. These sweet potato fries were especially tasty; thicker than the fries I’ve had before with a complimentary seasoning that was both sweet and savory.
For dessert, we ordered a small brownie w scoop of ice cream. It came out—brownie really warm, cold ice cream and a ton of whipped cream. Easily fed two people with some left over. Great portions and felt comfortable, especially with all the caution we’ve been having to take this last year .
We come here about once a month. They have really good food and drinks. I usually get their burgers but I decided to try the shrimp and chicken skewers this time. They were SO good. I will be getting them again! Parking around there is decent, and the outdoor seating is really cool. 4 stars because the waiters that I've had are OK, not great, sorry to the ones I haven't had. The bartenders are usually very cool!!
