Boyfriend took me for surprise brunch! First time going but had been wanting to try for awhile. Beautiful inside, warm lighting, very friendly staff-our waitress was sweet and helped us make our food decisions. We had the fried okra as an appetizer- really good. I had salmon with Mac and cheese and Sweet Caroline (mashed sweet potatoes w/glazed pecans) - delicious. He had chicken and waffles and both the chicken and waffle were really good. We also had their $5 mimosas-got us right early in the day 😆 Lastly, there was live music which the website does mention and we enjoyed that as well. We’ll definitely return.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The venue was charming & perfect. I enjoyed the food as well. Wish I was able to try more of the menu, but I will be back. The fried green tomatoes were some of the best I've ever had. Classic southern dishes with added modern flair. 👌🏾

I love love love this place! I took my best friend and her mom there for her mom’s birthday! They loved it! They had a great band playing (Thursday 2/17/22) they had us grooving in our seats! Plus the band sang Happy birthday! We tipped them $20. Because that was super sweet and they rocked! I had the shrimp and grits which was so tasty, my BFF had the Cobb salad with shrimp, the birthday girl momma Shirley had a Cobb salad with chicken. Appetizers we had fried okra, fried squash and everything was delicious! Customer service was at its finest!! Do we recommend heck yea! The managers stop by the table as well and said happy birthday! Oops we also had a side of Mac and cheese!

My first time at Nellie’s and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Molasses Glazed Salmon with green beans and macaroni and cheese. The atmosphere was amazing with artwork all around , even the tables and chairs , the chandeliers even offered personality and gave the restaurant a great ambience.
My dish was very tasteful the Salmon was my favorite, offering sweet and savory flavors. The macaroni and cheese by itself I would give a 3.5 only because the cheese used tasted like Ricotta cheese used in Lasagna. The green beans were very amazing .
I dined in on a night where Live music was offered, the artist was amazing, played guitar and could sing very well . I appreciate his craft, dedication and talent, however, the music was a little loud for my liking as I couldn’t hear my date talking very well and had to slightly raise my voice to talk .
The manager was very nice and came to check on our table multiple times with a smile. I will definitely be returning to try even more things on the menu.

First time at Nellie’s and I will need to go back and try something else. It is a Sunday and the place is packed. My friend made a reservation and yet, we had to wait. Let’s break down the 3 stars: Staff (excluding the hostess who was not friendly): 5 stars to our waitress. She was very attentive, willing to offer recommendations, always checking on us. Ambiance - the music is waaaaaayyyyy too loud. There is a performer on Sundays and he was LOUD. I am sure people yelled at each other to have a conversation. That to me takes it down to one star. Drinks: excellent. Food: I ordered the fried chicken, mc and cheese and fried sweet potatoes. I was not impressed with the chicken at all. I have had better chicken at two fast foods locally. The fries were amazing, the mac and cheese was good, not creamy as I a thought it would be. Overall my review for the food is not what I thought it would be 😔. My friend ordered the shrimps and grits and they looked good, the grits had a lot of flavor.

My first visit to Nellie's. Had the salmon entree. Service was great and she was very attentive. My dish was delicious but barely warm. I got the catfish to take home for my daughter. She said it was really good!

The atmosphere, live music, and delicious food at Nellie's was wonderful! Chicken and Dumplings were piping hot, mash potatoes and white gravy were perfect! My sister had the meatloaf with its special sauce and she loved it!
The amazing waitress was very attentive the entire time we were there and made sure we were happy with our meal and drinks. The prices are on the higher side, but I knew this going in as I had done some homework on the menu before making my reservation. For 2 people and an appetizer, expect to pay around $40-50 at minimum.
My favorite experience was simply the friendliness displayed by the manager and how much effort he put into making us feel welcome.
I've lived in Texas previously and it was an absolute pleasure to meet and speak with Chad who also spent many years there!
There is also an impressive display in the hall of the many accomplishments of the Jonas Brothers. It was very cool seeing the memorabilia.
I will definitely be returning to dine at Nellie's in the future.

I'm a big JB fan and will admit that was my initial draw to the restaurant! I am about an hour away so my husband surprised me with a belated Mother's Day reservation. The ambiance of the restaurant is great. It's super clean and I loved the decor (and of course the Jonas wall lol) The street the restaurant is on is very cute as well, be sure to walk up and down and check out some of the other local businesses. The staff at Nellie's was amazing. The hostess, the waitress, and the manager all stopped by the table to check on us and were so sweet to my son. The biscuits were amazing, maybe the best I've ever tried! The rest of the food was just okay. My husband got a burger and fries and I got a buffalo chicken sandwich with mac and cheese thinking my one year old would eat the mac and cheese because it's his favorite food. He actually wouldn't touch it, surprisingly and my husband and I were not fans of it either. There were lots of things on the menu that looked good but I don't know if we would come back just because our initial experience food-wise was not great. Overall though I'm glad we stopped in and it was a nice experience!
