A comfy Cafe tucked away in downtown Bemidji. Playful people who gladly went along with my "surprise me" request on the beverage menu. They asked a few questions and actually put real thought into it and discussed between the employees what to make this time. Tons of beverage options. It would take an entire year of college visits to hit them all. Medium-Small sized menu for food. Though they seem to improvise if you ask and they are able. I'll swing back when I'm able, and recommend it to some friends that appreciate these kinds of places.

Wild Hare Bistro is definitely a rabbit hole you want to go down to discover outstanding food with unique wholesome food with depth in flavor. Because the cook's /owners have previously worked at Concordia Language Village a multicultural Camp here in Bemidji area they bring a diverse palate from around the world to this little Bistro which anchors a strong "Artsy" groove. Open for breakfast & lunch and sometimes special occasion for art showings, specialized dinner events. Staff are always welcoming and provide a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a family-friendly food experience inside or out on the quaint little patio. Wheelchair and handicap accessible. Nursing Mom Friendly & an open and accepting atmosphere for ALL walks of life. And an absolute awesome choice for vegetarian/vegan choices from hummus plates, Veggie wraps & sandwiches & wild rice salads! Like other cafes and restaurants they also host art showings on a regular basis participating in Bemidji 1st Friday Art & Sculpture Walk. ☆☆☆☆ four stars because they do need a little bit of updating on some of the decor however it's easy to forgive considering the exceptional taste & quality of the food.

The Wild Hare is a nice, authentic place. The style and atmosphere seems sincere and old style, which is really unique and is not something I've seen a lot of. The coffee is really good, and not crazy sugary. The staff are nice and seem to be hard working, especially since it can be a busy place. If you like good coffee or want a place to have a good sandwich, try this place out!

Great coffee and food! My personal favorite for breakfast is the strawberry/cream cheese stuffed french toast + a large mocha!

Stopped in for lunch after calling ahead to confirm vegan options were available. I ended up getting a Mediterranean Salad Wrap and cup of chili. The wrap was pretty tasty but also pretty small. The chili was super tasty but not really any liquid in it. Didn't seem like chili, it was more like seasoned beans, still good. The chili came with chips on top which was nice but seemed like store bought tortilla chips, not the most appealing. Overall the flavor was good but the value want quite there. I would say the food portions are a little on the small side.

Favorite coffee shop in town! I love going here for lunch. Best homemade soups, sandwiches, and baked goods! I love that you can get your coffee in a handmade ceramic mug. The customer service is always excellent 👌

I love this place so very much. I’m pretty much here weekly and when I do make it in I order two meals so I can eat so much of it! This place is a wonderful place with varying art on the walls and healthy, real food. The specials are fun but I would recommend the Wild Rice sandwich or the wild rice platter! The staff is very friendly.
