We spent our Thanksgiving dinner here and it was 🤌🏽 everything we had was so good. I didn’t take food pic because I was to hungry to wait 🤦🏽‍♀️we had the house salad, sweet potato waffle fries, turkey entree, & the apple pie. The waitress we had was the sweetest. The host though, kind of seemed like she wanted to push people to not wait for seating.

A true heritage tradition in Bend, the Pines with it's two pine trees rising though the floor and ceiling, offers great food, superb service, and a relaxing atmosphere. Our reservation was for 5:30 and the restaurant was already busy. We were quickly seated in the back overlooking the water. Our waiter was a high energy person and was very attentive without making us feel hurried. The steak fries and garlic fries appitizers were both great, although the steak fries would be my choice next time. I had the pulled pork without the bun (gluten intolerance) and was offered seasonal vegetables ( superb green beans ) all of which were very tasty. My wife had the chicken Marsala which after I had a taste was a much better choice. Our companions had the blackened rockcod and rib eye steak which they enjoyed. The Pines has an excellent wine and beer list. Wine is offered by the bottle or glass. All in all an excellent dinning experience. If you have not been be sure to try it.

What a great place for a glass of wine and some dinner on the patio by the water, especially with our 2 Fur 🐕🦮Balls ,who were treated so wonderfully! It was our FIRST time in Bend, this place was a nice treat & super chill and relaxing. So many places to try glad we stumbled across this gem. Can't wait to come back! Thanks everyone ☺️ 😘 you were great! P.s. Sky High Mud Pie all day

Before I get started, don’t go anywhere else, come here! I had the best experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant! I ordered French onion soup and enjoyed it throughly with some scones and honey butter. To be honest, those scones were the best thing ever! Then in no time I had a plate of steak frites and 3 cheese Mac and cheese which were 😘👌! I also had a Pepsi and a strawberry lemonade which of course was muy bien! Then our waitress, per the special occasion on which I was attending kindly gave us another set of scones and honey butter as dessert! So overall if I could I would rate this 100/5! I’m definitely gonna come here again!

Lovely patio dining...wait for lakeside if that's critical but 3 rows back was still awesome. Food was yummy in abundant portions. Wonderful biscotti with honey butter are almost dessert...they are that good! Service from Ashley was extraordinary and she was so pleasant even while hustling!

Very nice restaurant. Indoor atmosphere is cozy and old-fashioned. Outdoor deck and patio is light and casual. Food was quite good. Large wedge salad with excellent Bleu cheese dressing. Steelhead meal was excellent. Fish and chips was one large piece of cod in batter. Flaky throughout. Dessert menu looked great but we were too full to try! Very helpful server - we appreciated him!

Had a great anniversary dinner here. We had been here a few times over the years and had indifferent food and service, but they seemed to have improved recently. Service was very attentive, the menu was better, and everything we had was prepared and served exactly as expected. We had the shrimp cocktail, chowder, ceaser salad, split the ribeye steak, and a desert. All came out well paced and cooked perfectly. A great place for a special dinner.

We stopped in passing through from Washington for lunch, and pleasantly surprised. We got the garlic parmesan fries, and spicy steak bites. Which pair beautifully btw. In our travels, most pubs, taverns, bars, etc…the idea is there, but not quite executed, or failed with bitter or three day old ingredients. This food, down to every ingredient, was fresh, flavorful, and oh so satisfying. Or at least they play it off well. Super helpful, friendly staff, and didn’t wait long at all. Highly recommend. Definitely have to remember this place for next time!

Updated Aug. 8/23: Yet another fabulous experience! Brought our son to Bend for a music concert & The Hayden Amphitheater and could not “not” bring him to Pine Tavern. It did not disappoint. From the Mac&Cheese to the Mahi Mahi and Fried Chicken, we each thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Matt took good care of us as well. …… 10 STARS! (11/29/2021) What a find. Historic building, beyond excellent service, and the food is spectacular. AND THE PRICES, WOW! We were in town to see one of our favorite artists (Gregory Alan Isakov) at The Tower Theater and fell upon the Pine Tavern, well weren't we fortunate. We had the Happy Hour Tavern Burger (holy COW what a burger for $8.95, it's a beautiful burger, incredibly tasty and cooked perfectly), the Parmesan Garlic Truffle Fries (like the burger they were terrific, TONS of garlic so beware and VERY sharable), and last but not least the Chicken Quesadilla (only suggestion here would be the chicken could have been slightly more moist). The bartender took EXCELLENT care of us (sorry but I did not get his name) and the atmosphere within the space was beyond compare. If we lived in Bend I could see us visiting the Pine Tavern 2-3 times a month, EASY!

Loved my meal and table by the window with view (through the trees) of Mirror Pond. I got a burger and wedge salad. The bread rolls were amazing by themselves but are served with a honey butter. I got an Arnold Palmer but looks like they have a fully stocked bar and beer and wine. The place has an elegant feel but I also felt comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt. My waiter was great, attentive and gave me the run down on specials and what to expect with my burger (garnishes and how it was cooked - medium). One small observation: I was there around sunset and saw diners outside on the back patio enjoying their meals in a nice golden light. As it got a bit darker, the outside lights were suddenly turned on. Wow.. too bright and abrupt. It killed the ambience in my opinion. Maybe bring them up slowly (a dimmer) or lower the wattage. Yikes.

This was our first eating experience at Pine Tavern. We will be back! Our server, Ashley, was very kind and helpful. The food was delicious! I especially love the scones and honey butter they bring out in the beginning! My favorite part was the ambience. If you are able to sit on the patio, it is beautiful!

We come to Sunriver once a year and we always stop in at the Pine Tavern in Bend. The best part is the fried scones and honey butter they bring out before your meal! I think I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ordered here. The restaurant has a beautiful view and we’ve also been there a few times when there’s been live music, which is fun. The pulled pork sandwich is really amazing. The mac and cheese is delicious and I enjoyed my chicken marsala that I got last week, although it wasn’t my favorite thing I’ve gotten here. I’ve gotten the hazelnut fish before and I remember that being really good. The creme brûlée and fruit crumble desserts are divine! We ordered the chocolate naughty this time and tbh it was a little TOO rich—it was more like eating a giant piece of fudge rather than a cake. I’d recommend that you go for one of the other desserts instead 😉

Found myself needing dinner in Bend with my mom and brother, and we decided to check this place out. We were able to walk right in and were given the option of where to sit inside. I got their steak frites, which upon googling I found out is typically steak and fries, and how can that ever be bad?? My brother got one of their specials for the day, prime rib, and my mom got the chicken Marsala. The food was all phenomenal. My dish was indeed steak and fries. Fries were crispy and seasoned, steak was cooked perfectly. It’s been a few weeks now and I’m still thinking about that steak. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in Bend.

When we made our reservation we didn't know we were going to be eating at a piece of Bend history! Everything was amazing. The employees, the atmosphere, the food. We'll definitely go back, even if all we get our the scones!

This iconic Bend Restaurant has been around for over a 100 years! It is famous for its beautiful river views and 2 pontarosa trees growing in the middle of the restaurant. The food was good as was the service. It's a great place to come for just a quick lunch or a special occasion. They have a bar area as well which is much more casual and and a fun place to meet friends.. They have a big Outdoor patio full of trees and flowers with a river view that is nice to enjoy when the weather permits.
