Seriously, an amazing time. Having eaten most of the menu in one fell swoop was probably the best idea I've ever had. From Wagyu to King Crab and Foie Gras to Uni this was the most gastronomical experience you could ever hope to have in Bend, Oregon. They take you on the most adventurous food journey of your life here and it changes seasonally! Anytime you come here, it will be a night to remember.

The Bos Taurus restaurant is small but punches above its weight class. From the incredibly knowledgeable bartenders to waitstaff, open kitchen down to selecting your knife options for a steak. If you want to feel like someone gives a damn, this should be where you head to. Both times we've been we've gotten great advice and not useless but rather "if you prefer that lighter style I'd actually suggest X option". Very accommodating, clean and well lit. The only downside is it is a little compact inside for some seating but well worth that small compromise👌

Holy cow where do I start? Simply put, this was the best meal I've ever had. My friend and I tried the A5 wagyu... Phenomenal. Cesar salad? The best salad I've had. Sanchoku Wagyu Hybrid ribeye .... No comparison. It ruined every other steak out there cause nothing else can compare. Is it expensive? Haha absolutely. But it's worth ever single cent. Food, drinks, service, all top notch. Definitely will be coming back!

The A5. Popover appetizer. A smoking Manhattan. These are the staples of this stellar restaurant. I can't find a flaw after over half a dozen visits. Sit downstairs if you can (it's quieter). Also be sure to try whatever pasta is on tap that week.

WORLD CLASS!!!! This place is excellent & with so many steak options it was hard to choose. Everything on the menu we tried was wonderful. The atmosphere inside is very chill. You can buy a bottle of wine from next door and they wave the corking fee. Make sure to save room for some desert.

Very friendly staffs. The wine list had a good selection of different wines but not so many Burgundy. We had a ribeye steak from Australia and was ok for the price of $90. It was burned black on the outside but perfect MR on the inside. The halibut was semi-dry. Pork jowl was kind of different after 18 hours of low temperature cooking. You will need to try it for yourself. The house made ice cream was very good.

Went on 1/27/2023 for a second visit. What a production and experience. Our server Todd was amazing. This place knows how to cook a slab of fine meat to perfection. The Mac & Cheese was surprisingly removed from the menu this time, but hopefully makes a comeback. Brussel sprouts are great. Decor, flowers, and noise level create a great vibe. Expensive, but totally worth it.

Bos Taurus was a very uplifting atmosphere with good energy and fun. It was definitely out of the ordinary with amazing food and your own pick of knives. The waiter was very kind and explained every bit of detail about the food and adventure we were going to be having a long the way. The food was spectacular and really made you want to cherish each bite. It was definitely a place I would want to go to again and definitely take a friend to spread the amazing first experience.

CA Baydestrian Review: If you've never had wagyu it's definitely an experience to have, especially when it's so hard to find outside of Portland. While this was not our first time the wagyu was pretty typical. I preferred the Mizayaki Wagyu. It had a nicer saltier crust with a better chew than the tenderloin. The tenderloin wagyu while very soft and fatty, I would have left a little longer on the grill. Similarly, the Australian Wagyu hybrid New York steak had a lovely salty crust and soft, beautiful marbling. The Black Label hanger steak was ok but I wouldn't order again. I wish I could have sliced my own steak especially when we were given the option to choose our dinner knives. The hanger wasn't as soft or seasoned as I hoped it be. The patatas bravas were ok and can be shared. Not very spicy but tart and creamy. We chose the made to order icecream which was peanut butter and jelly with sugar cinnamon brioche on top. Such a different texture and feel, recommend for the experience. The restaurant provides complimentary bread buns and since we had marked we were celebrating a birthday, we also got 2 free glasses of wine. Our waiter was courteous and very knowledgeable and I really enjoyed the dessert wine recommendation he gave me. Orange creamsicle soda was refreshing. The manhattan cocktail also had really nice presentation. The restaurant is quite small and intimate so reservations strongly recommended. I really liked the ambience and bathrooms were really clean. We really liked how attentive and ready all the staff were and I'd like to go again to try something new!

I've heard about this place from several people so we had to try it. We traveled from Eugene and stayed the night in Bend just to have dinner at this restaurant. We had an amazing experience. The woman at the front door greeted us and seated us in a booth which I requested ahead of time and luckily it worked out. Stephanie was our server and she was amazing. I tend to get a little intimidated at high end dining restaurants because I'm not sure what everything is. Stephanie took the time to explain the steaks to us and made us feel very welcome. We ordered a couple ounces of the Wagyu steak to try. They just about melted in our mouths. For the main course we ordered the Tomahawk steak for two. It could have fed 4 people but was totally worth it. My margarita was perfect as well. This was by far the best steak house we've ever been to. We hope to come back again! Thank you Stephanie for for the complementary bubbly and for making this our favorite high end dining experience thus far.

Great place, the atmosphere is like the chef is cooking personally for you, every worker from our server to the host were great and attentive,Perfect mix of checking in versus being over bearing. Our server Jacob did an excellent job and was very knowledgeable about the menu item’s. Definitely recommend if you are in the area. Make reservations as it’s a very cozy restaurant

Our initial greeting was luke warm, bordering on frigid, because the man who greeted us assumed (incorrectly) that we had not made reservations. His attitude 100% changed when he found out otherwise. So if you're planning on eating here make reservations well in advance. Beyond the first impression we were given our experience was absolutely divine. We each recieved a glass of bubbly because we were celebrating our anniversary, and the bartender and waitstaff were great at keeping conversation moving and highly knowledgeable of their menu items. The food is epic on many levels. Yes its expensive buy you will NOT regret trying the A5, it melts in your mouth. The market fish dish changes based on availability so make sure you ask what it is, and the chicken marsala is so flavorful you'll want to lick your dish clean. If you're looking for an amazing starter go with the marrow, it's unexpected but in a good way, the oysters are a little on the small side to be charged $4 each but the sauce on it makes up for that. The smoked Manhattan is a must, or give the old fashioned a whirl, and enjoy a very pleasant foodie experience. (4 stars because of our greeting, food is definitely 5 stars)

Definitely a treat to eat here, and it's fine dining, fo sure. The flavor profiles of the dishes are very dynamic. The steaks are delicious. I had the petite filet mignon, which you can't wrong with. I recommend the brussel sprouts, which are delicious on their own and pair very well with the meat. The hamachi crudo was also really delicious. Very interestingly prepared.

Our first time eating here. It's an experience, but all of the hot entrees came out luke warm, marginally. You need to be willing to part with $$$$. Their signature menu item is beef, not just any beef. Waygu, to be exact. The menu has variety; salads, soups, appetizers, and unusual offerings too. The setting of Bos Taurus is cozy and has only 10 tables, which adds to its allure. Our server was Jake, and he brought out complimentary champagne to our table as we were celebrating a birthday. Another nice touch is the freshly made popovers as a starter. My recommendation is to make reservations for 5 pm. when the doors open, because this is a lingering adventure that will conclude in approximately 3 hours. We had a variety of menu selections, all presented exquisitely. Drinks from the bar and finished our dining with house made to order ice cream, emphasis on made to order. We will return, but I will request the hot food be better than Luke Warm. After all, you are paying steeply to dine here. Plan a budget of at least $150 to $200 per person. Overall, I give a 4⭐️

Wasn't planning on a date night to a classy fine dining restaurant but that's where we ended up. Hats off to chef! Black Hanger Steak with crab was a 10, Ribeye with scallops a 10, neither of us are Brussel sprouts fan but enjoyed them immensely. We had 2oz of Japanese waygu for appetizer that you didn't need to chew....just order it as your entree we will next time. The attention to detail is top notch, the waitstaff aka Eli is attentive, informative and educated. This is the best restaurant in Bend for fine dining steak house. Well worth the price! Oh and asparagus soup...who knew...fantastic!

We were lucky to get a reservation the same day I called. We ate at the bar & Shaun was great! Started with drinks and bread, so good. My husband ordered the oysters and he said they were amazing. We also had 3oz wagyu and that was the best steak we've ever had, gotta try it! I ordered the 8oz filet mignon with crab & Chimichurri sauce. And for the sides Brussels & potatoe puree. We left very happy. Best steak house in Bend!

Delicious food. I have a dairy allergy. Which makes it hard finding food for me. The chef was very nice and had options for me. Which was amazing! Todd the server was the best!

Absolutely, the most AMAZING food and atmosphere. There isn't a single dish that you won't enjoy. From the drinks to the main course, 5-star through and through. I had amongst many foods, the A5 wagyu and it was cooked PERFECTLY with a touch of salt and a great sear. I would recommend this restaurant to ANYONE who appreciates beef in it's finest forms.
