Great place to eat. Salad bar is incredible and we’ll maintained. Food is very good with decent size portions and moderately priced. Very busy place, but the wait was not long and their bread with maple butter was out of this world. I would highly recommend and would love to go back again on our next trip through Vermont. Also a fantastic view!

First time in years that we have eaten here. Mothers Day celebration buffet was excellent! The atmosphere was wonderful, the staff very accommodating and friendly, exspecilly the Hostes on duty. The place was packed for Mothers Day. They were quick to clear tables and get those waiting seated. The food was outstanding, from the salad bar to the main course and desert. And of course the view from the deck and putter dining area is spectacular. We will definitely be going back.

Stumbled across this place while out for a drive and absolutely loved it! We sat on the deck on a cool July evening, surrounded by great views and dining in great food. The salad bar is amazing, and the baked Brie appetizer is to die for! The service was excellent, and the food delicious!

I went as a family of eight, for their Thanksgiving buffet dinner. As soon as we walked in, we were told that our table was not yet ready. We did have to wait a half-hour before we can sit down to our table, but the hostess was extremely funny and kept us informed as to what was happening at all times. Apparently the people that had our table we're still eating and there were no other seats available for a group of eight. Aside from that, the food was excellent the prime rib melted in my mouth, Fresh Salad all the way around, great service and smiling faces everywhere. I would definitely do it again. Oh, did I mention that the chef Frank Stone came to our table to visit us? That was an added bonus.

My husband and I had the pleasure of having dinner here last week while vacationing in Vermont. Everything was perfect, from my martini to his prime rib. I highly recommend the diver scallops, and the warm bread with maple butter is a treat. The service was superb, the view magical, the food outstanding. We will be back!

On a Sunday in mid-August I hosted a cocktail hour and lunch for 60+ guests in honor of my wife's Birthday. Planning the event, including the room set-up and menu, with the manager Kevin was a most positive experience. He exhibited tremendous flexibility and cooperation as we worked out the specifics. The wait staff of Rachel and Heather provided high quality service and manner. Kevin was on the scene throughout the party and assisted where needed. The food was served hot, and was savory. Truly, the entire gathering was a wonderful experience at this outstanding and strongly-recommended restaurant. KTP, Concord, Massachusetts, and Eagle Bridge, New York

The property grounds are nice. It's rustic but still clean and not cluttered. My husband had the Stone Kitchen Pasta with Shrimp ($36). I had the meatloaf ($26). As you can see, that's overpriced but all entrees have the salad bar included. The salad bar was great and helped make it worthwhile. If the owner is reading this, continue to have the salad bar and don't skimp on it in the future to save money. I'll make the drive again for it. A loaf of hot bread came out and while I loved the idea of maple butter, the recipe could be tweaked; I thought it was too sweet and not creamy enough. We only drank water, did not get an appetizer, and it was still not cheap. But everything was good so we'll go back. Lastly, we chose to eat inside the dining room but it was nice outside and the patio was full. Fresh flowers in the bathroom and candles on the table are nice touches. I appreciate that they were kid-friendly (I walked by 2 other high chairs) and she brought another one over for us.

We have eaten here every fall during our foliage trip for the past three years. The ambiance (decorated for fall) and menu were outstanding. Jackson was our server and he was excellent -- very attentive despite a full restaurant on a Friday night. The salad bar was outstanding with lots of choices. I had the Baked New England Cod with Vermont Cheddar, Butter & Seasoned Cracker Crumbs - EXCELLENT. My husband had the Fisherman's Platter with Fried Cod, Beer-Battered Shrimp and Hand-Breaded Clam Strips. There was a lot of food on his! He said it was very good. He got carrot cake to go and said it was also very good -- the piece was huge. Did he share? NO!

Amazing experience! The Ambiance the food in the service were all top notch, the real grand slam is the salad bar. It's sad to say that places like this are a Dying Breed as we move towards self-service the beauty of a place like this will be long forgotten and years to come but for now get here and enjoy this place while it's still here.

We had a little vacay in Stowe and decided to stop in Bennington on our way home. The Publyk House is right next to the place we're staying... so we gave it a try. Thank the taste bud God's... this place was scrumptious! Shrimp Cocktail... super fresh and crisp! The salad bar was awesome.... even had those old school beet's (Yeah I was that kid that ate those purple sliced beets Ma would have out at dinner). The Country Fried Chicken with Black Pepper Gravy was do die for... My partner in crime got the Baked Cod. Sweet Mary Moses, not sure what kind of magic they are doing in that kitchen..... but the Baked Cod was killer. Sherry took great care of us. If you're in the area, don't miss this place, and ask for Sherry to take care of ya! (Oh and get the bread and whipped Maple butter too!)

We had a great date night meal. They sat us next to the fireplace , very romantic. We could see the sunset from our seats. The waitress was very attentive and the food was so delicious and satisfying. We had left overs and saved room for dessert. The creme brulee was perfect!!

We ate here twice during our week in the area. Once with a group of 9 (pics of the baked Cod and stuffed salmon) and then with a group of 4. It was great each time and everyone loved their choices for dinner. The salad bar is fresh and has a really nice variety. We hope to return anytime we are able to visit the area. Be sure and accept the offer of bread and their yummy maple butter!!

The food was amazing! Salad bar was plenty enough but we had dinner on top of that. Service was great and they also had a busload there. Tried one of their seasonal cocktails. It was delicious! Can't beat the sunset view across the valley.

Wow, what a phenomenal experience & restaurant. Definitely top notch. A big highlight to my amazing Vermont trip. Highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for a great meal with an amazing view. Staff are very friendly and attentive . Food is well thought of with flavors that compliment each other. Great presentation of the food, with a generous amount. Prices are fair. Salad bar with a loaf of bread & maple butter to start the meal with an order of an entree. I personally loved the brie appetizer & teriyaki sirloin with grilled pineapple entree. If you have the opportunity, sit outside in the patio/ deck facing the memorial monument. It's a great experience if you saw it up close & personal and now sitting from afar taking in the view and history of this particular location by enjoying an amazing meal with good energy and ambience. Parking available on site. Eventhough it is a very large space, I highly recommend getting a reservation.

Very good food at very good prices. The portions are almost too big. Especially if you've ordered any of their awesome appetizers. The bread and maple butter are to die for. The salad bar is fresh and delicious. Add all this to a beautiful interior or (weather permitting) outdoor deck and you'll see why this place is so highly rated. I definitely recommend!

I want to be honest: this was the best restaurant and the best meal we had during our whole Vermont vacation! The place is really nice and interesting with the right vibes. Nice the idea of self service salads: I got myself a good salad with all ingredients I liked, everything fresh. Then I had meatloaf: it was delicious, something for what I would drive 4 hours to go back and eat again. My wife had lobster mac and cheese, delicious too. We seated outside and we dined watching the Bennington battle monument
