Had the opportunity to fly into the local airport of Benson,IL. A gentleman at the airport suggested going to "The Buzz" for lunch located on "the square". What a wonderful experience. I ordered the apple walnut herb chicken salad, has to be one of the best salads ever, accompanied with a fresh glass of unsweetened ice tea. The atmosphere supports a great place to relax, perhaps read a book or enjoy the local art and photography exhibits. Having a vast selection of menu items from homemade pastries, cookies, sandwiches and numerous assortment of beverages trying to decide what to choose may be challenging. Thanks to the wonderful staff that put the personal touch of customer appreciation for stopping in! For sure another stop when visiting Benton! A "5 thumbs up".
This is the best café in Southern Illinois in my opinion. The Apple Walnut salad that they have is the best salad I have ever had! I love everything that I have ever ordered here, I definitely recommend it!!

I love this place! The decor is unique and comfortable. The staff are always very nice and welcoming. They have a great menu selection and I’ve yet to be disappointed. My husband and I have eaten here several times and have always enjoyed it.

Love this place and their coffee, but why in the world does a coffee shop wait to open at 8 a.m.? I need my morning coffee before work! Lol

Everything here is good! My lunch favorites are the parmesan kale sausage soup and the apple walnut salad. And their baked sweets? Really really yummy! :) Definitely pay these folks a visit if you find yourself hungry in Benton!
The owner and staff at The Buzz are always friendly and greet customers with a smile. This hometown store epitomizes the charm and reputation that local businesses are known for, and the staff is equally as endearing. They make their customers feel right at home. Anything I have ever ordered, including food, has been perfectly prepared. If you are in the area, make sure you stop by and see for yourself! You won't be disappointed.
My wife was given a bag of their Highlander Grogg by a friend and loved the coffee, so we stopped by to replenish her supply. We ended up eating a light lunch and the both the food and service were awesome. The staff took all the time required to help my wife find a tasty, grain free option, which isn't an easy task. We live on the south side of Marion, so this won't be an everyday place for us, but we will definitely be back.
Had a delicious lunch here, salmon salad. Salmon was fresh and delicious and serve by a courteous staff. High behind the counter there are two levels of coffee cups that people bring them from all across the world. Each one of them has a little note on the bottom of it and its origin is pinpointed on a map. It's a nice touch of cozy ambiance.
Some of the food isn't for me personally but for anyone who actually likes healthy food would love it here. The staff is always polite and I really see absolutely nothing wrong with this place.
Went there for lunch and got a sandwich, soup and pastry. The soup was delicious..mushroom and brie..wish I got more! The sandwich was pretty good too and pastry was very good. I tried my husband's sandwich that had ceasar dressing and it tasted very good and homemade. I liked the casual artsy vibe although I didnt see the childrens books they talked about that I wanted to look at. Overall great fresh soup and pastry, sandwich was good. Only thing that would make it over the top is doing homemade lunch meats. We will return again sometime, very friendly staff! It would be great if they were open later also!
Stopped here for breakfast one morning. It wasn't very crowded, the bfast sandwiches we're very tasty as well as the tea and coffee. located in the maintown square parking in the morning was very easy.

I love The Buzz! It's a great place to have breakfast or lunch, and everything on their menu is made in house! Wonderful soups, salads and sandwiches! A nice place to visit with friends, read a book and meander around the cafe to see the paintings and photographs done by local artists. A real delight!
