My husband and I were spending the weekend in Bentonville looking for something special for my birthday dinner. We had it narrowed down to 2 places and drove by both. Seeing that Fred’s was hiding in some trees appealed to me, so we chose to do reservations here. Wow! What a wonderful experience! First, driving into the parking lot alone made me happy. Beautiful grounds and the old, but lovely, camp buildings were so welcoming. We arrived at dusk, so the patio lights strung across the dense trees created a scene fit for a postcard. The sounds of a singer and his guitar filled the air. Next, the staff... they were all so helpful and catered to my husband’s very specific dietary needs. The chef even cooked his steak in its own pan to avoid cross contamination and made side dishes to meet his needs! Our waitress made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant, even though it was quite busy. And then there’s THE FOOD... Omgosh, I’ve eaten steak at many great locations across the country, but I’ve never had a better tasting steak; ever!! Tender, excellent flavor and grilled to perfection. The side dishes were also very tasty and well prepared, perfect compliment to the steak. In addition, we finished the evening with an amazing piece of whipped cheesecake with a delicious crust. I couldn’t have imagined a better place anywhere for my birthday dinner!

Waitstaff goes out of their way to make you happy!! Fred's has THE best happy hour and great food and ambiance! Overall you can't go wrong inviting friends and hanging out for a nice night or having a romantic dinner! Such a great local place feel too!
Exceptional service and food! We have been meaning to go there for several weeks and finally had the opportunity too. Would give a 10+ if possible
My first time & it had been many years since my husband had been. We were seated right away even though we did not have reservations. Excellent service by our waitress Sky. Food was good & came out promptly. Will definitely come back to eat when we are in the area.
We had a party of 20 or 25 and one super server! He did an excellent job and the food was amazing as always!
Good food with awesome service! Love the history of this place too

What more can you ask for??
We drove in from Dallas to watch our Granddaughters in a local theater play, and searched for a great place to have lunch with our family. We found Fred’s, and our daughter said everyone raves about it.
After lunch, we are among those who love it! First, the Hostess knew that we were here from Dallas and meeting family. She greeted us like an old friend and walked us back to our family’s table. Our Waiter was friendly , and hospitable. He worked at our pace, and we spent over two hours there.
My chicken and spinach was awesome. Our son said the meatball sandwich was delicious because the meatballs were smoked. The youngest loved the mac-n-cheese. Everything was awesome!
Before leaving for the day, our Hostess dropped by the table to ask if we enjoyed our meal and little family reunion. She made our six year old feel really special.
Their food is delicious. I had the grilled salmon, sauteed spinach & baked potato. The salmon was grilled to perfection & melted in my mouth. The sides were just as delicious & complimented The salmon perfectly. The cheesecake is light & the crust is flaky and as tall as the cheesecake filling. I highly recommend.
Good atmosphere very attentive staff. Good food. I had the Kansas City Strip, bake potato, salad. We got some cheesecake to take home with us. I would recommend going here again.
The saga of Fred’s continues...
It’s been nearly four years since this legendary Bentonville supper club was temporarily shuttered by a fire. Upon reopening things just weren’t the same, not by a long shot. The rebuilding of the structure was fine but the food and staff barely resembled the old Fred’s. Finally things have begun to seriously turn around. I would urge anyone that wrote Fred’s off as a lost cause to give them another look.
On a recent visit we were greeted warmly and quickly seated. It was immediately obvious that our server was the kind of pro Fred’s used to regularly employ. I usually don’t mention names, even when the service is great, but Casey was quite possibly the best server we’ve had in Northwest Arkansas, and we’ve had some very good service locally. His knowledge of the menu, both food and drink, was impressive. Further he had extensive knowledge of Fred’s history and an obvious passion for his profession.
Fred’s is unique in that it’s calling card is smoked meats, especially ribs, combined with a relaxed fine dining atmosphere. In recent times this was one of the areas where Fred’s struggled; not anymore. The house-made sausage, pork and beef made for a terrific appetizer, The Fred’s Sampler. The Steak Salad was elevated to outstanding by the perfectly seasoned and grilled steak and wonderful house-made dressings. The Smoked Chicken with an accompanying Rib were off the charts, like I’d been transported to Fred’s circa 1971. The Cheesecake was a fitting end to an exceptional dining experience that I hope to soon repeat.
One word of advice; unless you are already a fan skip the spaghetti, this just isn’t an Italian restaurant.
Met with a couple of girlfriends to celebrate my 40th birthday. I had to search for a nice restaurant to go to and decided on this one. Making a reservation was easy and the guy who took it was very polite. Our table was ready when I arrived in the bar area. It had a great atmosphere and was clean. The bartender was our server and she was attentive and helpful. The selection of food was good the only reason I didn’t get five stars was because a couple of the things personally I was not a huge fan of. The spinach dip I would not order again. The filet mignon was cooked well but it did not have much juice so I should have asked for some herb butter. I highly recommend the cheesecake I got it topped with the blueberry and it was delicious. I would say it one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever tasted and that’s a lot considering that I worked at the Cheesecake Factory. Would definitely recommend this place for a date night, celebration or business meeting.
