It's exactly what you think it is! Counter serve joint with simple, high quality dogs and sausages. One of the quickest bites in town. From the time of ordering to service is never much longer than 5 minutes, and you can amuse yourself by looking at the quirky anarcho-libertarian decor.

Absolutely delicious!! Top Dog has the best hot-links & chicken apple sausages in the entire Bay Area. I have been coming here since I was a little kid in the 80s & their still the best hot dog restuarant! 5/5 A++
The hidden top dog more like the south side. Cannot usually see it from the car. Find this out when looking for another spot on foot. Next to purple kow. Guy at the register was polite. Hot dog itself was pretty dry and small, but what do I expect for 4$. One of the cheapest places for food around the area so I shouldn't expect much.
