I loved Chef Tony’s. I’m from Dallas and I love the atmosphere there. The staff was very friendly. I particularly enjoyed dealing with Steve. Their scallops and crabcakes are exceptional! They also have the best fresh veggies. I love that the menu changes daily to ensure you are served the freshest seafood. Checking this place out is a must!

This was my first time visiting. I had the Italian Style Paella. It was absolutely delicious. The dish was loaded with mussels, shrimp, scallops and crabmeat on a bed of angel hair pasta. The seafood was very fresh. I highly recommend this quaint style restaurant and will definitely visit again.

Wonderful meal. Great, fresh seafood, served in an unpretentious atmosphere. I can't believe I'd never been to this place before. It sure won't be my last! I was there with a party of 4 and we all loved our food (appetizers, entrees, and desert).

I’m not going to lie. I’m a vegetarian who joined a group of colleagues who had heard great things about this place. While I didn’t love the brussel sprouts appetizer, the veggie pasta had one of the best marinara sauces I’ve ever had. Add in the atmosphere and Steve, who greeted us at the door, and I’d go back in a heartbeat (if only the commute from NM wasn’t so long)!

That was my first time ever at Chef Tony's even though I have been hearing about it for a long time. More than not disappointing, it was amazing! Those scallops were to die for... I mean, everything I ate (mussels Pei Pei, and cream brûlée) was great, but the scallops.... whoa! Great atmosphere and good prices. I definitely recommend it.

It was great, a little pricey but the food is worth it. Great service, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. This might seem trivial, but I love a place where the restroom is noce and smells good.

Ok so this place was a little gem 💎 that we were so happy to find! The oysters were amazing! And I had the best Creme Brul`e I've had yet! The only one negative for atmosphere was that it was a little difficult to park as this is located in an area with shared parking and part of some gated community so we waited about 20 min for someone to come out. This place should really come out of it's location it has so much potential for growth!

I ordered 3 pizza's - Cup-per, White and Crab pizza. All 3 were fantastic. The hostess who took my order was helpful and patient while I asked questions and helped me decide what I wanted. The pizza's had a thick crust that was surprisingly lite and had a nice crunch when biting into it. The Cup-per pepperoni had a great flavor and a nice bite to it. The Crab pizza was meaty and flavorful, and the White pizza had a mellow smoothness to it. What was even nicer was heating up a slice the following day in the oven. The flavors carried through and still, very satisfying. Overall, the pizza's and price were well worth it.

The salad was amazing. The calamari was perfectly done. My fish (trout) was seared and seasoned just right. My wife’s shrimp and crab dish was luscious. The fresh strawberry slices and vanilla beans in our crème brûlée made it nothing less than exquisite. This place is a truly hidden gem!

The service was friendly and professional. Had the crabcake and was thrown off by all the shells in it, but everything was good and coffee was delicious 😋

Amazing! The BEST calamari I've ever had and the crab soup had real crab with the most unique, delicious flavor. The dinner was just as fabulous. The salmon was perfectly cooked, garlic mashed potatoes were buttery, the snapper was beautiful! The only complaint is that I don't live here. This will be my first stop if I come back.

Visited 6.24.22 and 6.30.22. Detailed review to follow: FOOD: 5/5. I ordered the Brussel sprouts starter. It was tasty. It had bacon and I think panco bread crumbs and the sprouts were grilled and cut into halves. Main course I ordered the halibut with crab, cauliflower and potato and it was seasoned well and presented well. They also gives you a few slices of free bread with oil as a teaser. I also ordered a ‘Little Italy’ cocktail which was really good as well. SERVICE: 4/5. Was greeted quickly and seated promptly. All the waiters/service staff wander around checking on every table regardless of whose table it is but it’s been hit or miss. The same 2 or 3 people actually stop by the table while others seem to just walk around and not even help you or check on you. LOCATION: 3/5. Access and location is definitely tricky. It’s located at the bottom of a large apartment complex with very little signage showing you where the actual restaurant is at. You need to meet a security guard to get a temporary parking pass but from there it’s a free for all to find where the restaurant is exactly at. I recommended parking at the first lot directly after the main security booth and walking through the door labeled ‘ARCADE’ which will get you in the general area but you have to wander a bit to find the place. More signage would be nice, though I’m not sure if they can plaster signage all over the apt complex. I also wish their website at least had the menu on it. Was difficult to see what they served without a bit of digging into the website. OVERALL: 4 out of 5

I followed Chef Tony from Bethesda to the Promenade location and am glad to see that the quality and deliciousness of the food did not change. The Promenade location has a lovely patio section to sit, drink something nice, and enjoy the good weather in. I highly recommend the baked oysters, surf and turf; any of the cocktails as they always have a great bartender mixing magic. :)

We recently catered for a large party from Chef Tony and were very happy with the level of service and attention we received from his establishment. He himself worked with us to design the menu, came up with creative options to accommodate our requests. Quality of food,as always, was outstanding and portions were very generous. We will certainly be back!

What a wonderful experience! The servers worked as a team and were very friendly and accommodating. Loved that the bread was pre-cut, although I was dining with people that don't manhandle the bread. My dining partners enjoyed their drinks and I did a well although I forgot the name of it. We had the crab of crab soup which was flavorful and creamy. The goat cheese with dried cranberries on top of spinach salad was was pre-dressed with an amazing dressing! Yummy!! Our meals were a Red Snapper (whole) special, Halibut and a Seafood Stew, I believe. To savor the experience we all took some home. So delicious, even the 2nd day. Such great options to select from, so multiple visits are needed. Chef Tony came around to say hi and chop it up with us a bit to make us feel welcomed. Will definitely visit again. A 2nd location is coming soon, so no better time. Check them out, you'll love it too!

The food and service are always EXCELLENT at both Chef Tony’s locations. I’ve been dining with Chef Tony for more than 10 years and I’ve never had a bad meal. And I’ve tried just about everything on the menu. What do I recommend? EVERYTHING But save room for Chef Sonia’s cheesecake. I love the vanilla with Malbec sauce. The walnut-filled crust is my favorite. 😍😍😍

This is an excellent place to get sea food! This place is rather hidden and is in apartment complex, but oh boy, am I glad I went there! All the food we ordered was excellent! The oysters were also very delicious! Disclaimer: I was quite hungry too 😂 . The service is also very nice and the waiters are great. If you are around the area, give it a try.

This review pertains to Chef Tony’s Pook’s Hill Road location at the Promenade Apartments, assuming indoor seating. Over the years, we’ve targeted Chef Tony’s for its superb lobster dinner. The other seafood items are very good to excellent, but the lobster is in a class of its own. The Thursday lobster special ($33 as of August 2023) can’t be beat — run, don’t walk. Our server was excellent with respect to food items, but the uneven coordination between the server and the bar resulted in long waits for drinks. Cocktail was very good and wine by the glass was enjoyable and a good value. Try to visit in good weather to enjoy patio seating. One star off for the fairly drab indoor dining area — fluorescent lights, aging tile, poor acoustics, bare bones tables. If Chef Tony’s could spruce up the indoor dining area, this would be a 5-star experience all around. But even in the bare bones indoor dining room, the lobster is worth a trip.

Despite being hidden in a gated apartment complex, this is a gem of authentic Italian/seafood restaurant worth trying and revisiting. Everything from appetizers to main courses to desserts tastes really really good. My family have been there twice so far, once before we visited Italy and once after. We find that at least the HEMI Original pizza and pasta dishes are just as tasty (and authentic) as what we had in Rome/Florence/Venice. The seafood dishes show that the chef really knows what he's doing. And it's not pricey at all, given the high quality of food and service. Highly recommend!!

Unbeatable happy hour specials. Best seafood I’ve had on the east coast. The red snapper is amazing. The deserts are decadent, and even if yIhre just grabbing something light, they have an amazing reuben sandwich. The brunch on Sunday’s is incredible. Try the spinach and shrimp angel hair frittata, and if you have room, get the French toast as a desert dish. The fresh whipped cream is perfect. Their bartender Misha is great conversation, and takes his job very seriously. A true perfectionist.

The staff is ALWAYS professional & friendly. I won't eat certain foods & salt, they are VERY accommodating. Chef Charles has made up 2 cocktails - "Naomi's Nebula" and "Nomi's Equinox"! Try them, you might like them! Love Sunday's Brunch into Happy Hour. I dine in.

I'm allergic to seafood and was not happy when I saw the menu. What use to be Italian (or so my husband said) was now seafood! I order the twin filet mignon and I had to hold myself back from licking the plate! It was the best!! And the dessert was just as good if not better! Creme brulee, cannoli and tiramisu! Yes we got 3!! Our server Oshan was on point the whole time. He was there when we needed him, didn't hover, answered all my questions (i had a lot) and was friendly. The entire experience was excellent!!! I do wish they had more on the menu for people who can't eat seafood but that wont stop us from dining there again!!

I had the Crab soup, it was good but had a little too much old bay seasoning. The filet mignon satay was delish! Grilled shrimp was also great! The fried calamari was crispy, fresh and melts in your mouth! I’d probably ad more breading, but that’s me. The crepe brûlée was good as well. The owners even sent me a follow up email the next day! What a great place in local Bethesda Maryland

Food is just amazing, if you are expecting fancy this is not your place but if you want quality real food with great service and atmosphere this is for you. Glad to see Chef Tony working there everyday and always taking care of his food, employees and patrons. The service is as good as their food. Prices for portion are excellent, 100% recommended.
