Man we have been blessed! Black Girl Taco Chronicles is back in action! This time, we’re in Maryland at Gringos and Mariachis, and we’re not disappointed. The food is excellent, the drinks are out of this world, and the service is top-notch. We had a great time, and we can’t wait to come back again soon!

This was a great place! We loved the food (the salsa tasting, self-entitled “salsa flight” was awesome), and the specials and burritos were awesome. We had the beef cheek tacos, carne asada tacos, and vegetarian burrito, all which were amazing.
Additionally, our server Frank was a treat. Very kind and timely, answering all of our questions. Would definitely return and recommend!

Fantastic service. Fred was very attentive and prompt. I had a excellent Chile Relleno. And it was done perfectly. Reasonable price. App + 2 meals and 2 drinks @50$

Stopped by for happy hour for margaritas/tacos and was not disappointed! Got the carnitas tacos, the margaritas, the white sangria,and the albundagas (meatballs) off of the happy hour menu. The dishes were great and margaritas hit the spot! The service was friendly at the bar and Sia was very attentive with her service!
This was our first time at Gringos and Mariachis. Douglas E was our server and he was amazing. He was so attentive and gave great recommendations. We had the salsa sampler, tacos, and sopas. The chips were especially good with the salsa. Everything was great! Will definitely be back!
Went on margarita Monday and all margs are $7 along with happy hour from 3-6pm with great drink and apps for $7 as well. Will definitely be back!
The Chile Relleno was one of the best I've had in the DMV area. Staff were friendly and the service was quick.
We really enjoyed this place. We had the salsa sampler, Birria tacos, and fish tacos. Birria tacos were not crispy and did not have the cheese on the tortilla. They were more like a regular taco. They were not my favorite. The rest was pretty good. Atmosphere is solid. Service was great. I would definitely recommend this place.
First of all, the drinks are great. All the food is great, just can’t go wrong (happy hour menu rocks) small tapas plates. The eloté is the BEST. Order it all and share. The bartenders are super friendly and the atmosphere is always fun, never had a bad time at either location, Bethesda/Park Potomac. Enjoy!! (I guess there is no second)
This place is great. Organized a team holiday party can't say enough good things. Yummy food, friendly service, and fun times. Will be back. Park Potomac location is solid as well.
The happy hour food deals were great and the portion size was insane. I feel like a lot of places reduce portion sizes during happy hour deals but I dare say that there may have been too much meat on the tacos! Incredibly good and filling. They had salmon as a special and it didn't survive long enough to get a photo lol it was flavorful with a cucumber avocado salad that cut through the heaviness and gave it a fantastic freshness. Also the parking on a Thursday at 5pm was really reasonable.
Oh wow. The food was so delicious. Our little group enjoyed our meal and drinks. I arrived early for dinner and had a cocktail at the bar on happy hour. My bartender was very friendly, just perfect.
Gringos never disappoints - the duck nachos are our absolute favorite, but really you can’t go wrong. Excellent drinks, fast, and friendly service - this is where we love to bring our out of town guests

Good size portion of food, got the Al Pastor Tacos and Margaritas. Please go during Happy Hour Mon- Friday 3-6pm. Bartenders are great and the atmosphere is laid back.
I visited during the happy hour and was not disappointed! I ordered the house sangria along with the carne asada tacos.
The tacos were excellent and very filling even though there were only 2. The drink was also refreshing.

I've been to Gringos about 4 times now (3x for happy hour, 1x for dinner) and I've overall had a great experience!
Highlights:
-$6 drinks at HH 3-6pm on weekdays
-$6 apps at HH (my favorite are the Sopes)
-Ceviche for dinner app
-Torta de milanesa for dinner
-great mixed drink selection
-some good beers on tap ( I stick to basic Blue Moon)
I'll start off with saying my favorite part of the restuarant are the vibes. It's a romantic and lively setting on the inside, with a bit more of a friendly and talkative atmosphere on their patio outside. The music is also great with lots of Bad Bunny and a few throwbacks. If you come for HH, I recommend sitting outside! If you come for a date, do inside! I've also always have had great servers here that check on us frequently.
I came just yesterday for dinner for the first time. I was amazed by the Chicken Milanesa Torta. It's a very traditional Mexican sandwhich that you can't find just anywhere. The black beans with the breaded chicken was the perfect combo to end my night. My only small complaint is that they used the wrong bread. It's supposed to be made with bolillo bread or pan francés. Also, it was a little pricey but that's typical for the DMV.
I will definitely continue to come back to Gringos as much as possible!
Went here again after the long pandemic, food is still good, not the place we sit this time. We choose outdoor to avoid the crowd. The first place we sit down is under the canopy and it is so loud that I couldn't hear myself. So we asked to be moved to tables on street. It was much quieter but when wind blows the wrong way we can smell the dumpster, which happens often. Next time I will sit inside for sure. For food, I tried the braised beef and it is the best taco of all kinds that I tried.
