We moved to north from Louisiana last summer. So glad to find this unique local place. This breakfast diner reminds us the old good comfort food from the south. Friendly services and we highly recommend.

I was staying in Bethesda for the inauguration. This was the only placed we found opened really early. The biscuit n gravy and the omelets we had were amazing. Also we had a great server. He spoke with us and showed us the board outside were he writes down the specials at. Very nice guy. Very great place to eat with friendly people. I will be back in a year to eat here.

This IS the classic American diner. The food, the service and the staff all together result in a wonderful dining experience... complete with the songs of you youth! It is like family...and isn't what a real diner is meant to be? See you there tomorrow for breakfast!

Yeah, the food is good (Al is the best), but this place is genuine - family.

Shout out to the staff at the Tastee Diner...our party of 22 showed up at midnight and they served us without a hitch! Split checks by family even when families weren’t sitting at the same table, all orders came out correctly, and we were served quickly. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Exactly what we were looking to eat late at night.

This is the VERY best place to end an evening with friends. I've been coming here since I was in my teens. I'm 47 now and still love this place. I bring family from over seas looking for the real American diner experience.

... it's 9 am and I'm walking the mean streets of Bethesda, MD. With an hour to kill, I decided to grab a cup of joe. I was reaching for the Starbucks door when I spotted the old school gem across the street and made a beeline for it. It was a perfectly preserve relic from 1935, where the only thing that has changed is probably the complexion of the clientele. There was the "saucy old broad" behind the counter sparing playfully with the regulars, the waitress who brings over the pot every time my cup is half full and the sound of dishes clanging in the background. It was perfect! One of the most enjoyable and entertaining cups of coffee I've had in a long time.

Great diner spot with classic diner food and feel. Reasonable prices, tasty food, and great staff. Service was fast. The seating is cute and comfortable and the food is good but it's really a no-frills classic diner experience, highly recommend!

The best seats in the house are in the front row; at the counter behind the grill. Not only are you guaranteed to get your food when it's ready, but you get to witness the skills of career food service professionals. They don't need computers to keep track of the orders.

A real honest to goodness diner with friendly service and great food and tasty coffee. The creamed chipped beef over fresh baked fluffy biscuits is top shelf. But don't wait until too late in the day to order it, as they might run out of biscuits. It's still tasty over toast, though. It's not one of those upscale retro designed places with overpriced everything - it's the real deal. There's an affordable parking structure across the street - $3.00 for two hours, allowing plenty of time to enjoy your meal. Limited free street parking is available but may involve a bit of a hike to the diner. A hidden jewel in Bethesda for many years, and hopefully for many, many more.

For almost a year now my friend and I have made a routine visit on Sundays for lunch here. We have fallen in love with this place. We had gotten into a routine with the Silver Spring Tastee Diner, and when it closed we tried other places, but nothing can compare to the real thing. They always try their best to do the right thing. We try to get our favorite waitress, but the others are just as good, even the ones that buss the tables. The food is pure Diner food, always served promptly, always fresh and hot. I can't say enough good things about the place!

Best breakfast ever and the coffee was outstanding! So smooth never bitter! Definitely where all the locals eat. Almost everyone who came through the door was greeted by name! Wonderful place! Definitely coming back!!

I was in town on a business trip and decided to get some real food. After doing a little research, I noticed this place had plenty of great reviews. I normally don't pay others any mind when it comes to taste, but I figured why not. Walking in takes me back about 50 years. But don't let that scare you off. I ordered the pancakes, eggs and sausage. Let me tell you, it was on point. I normally could wolf down pancakes with no problem. But the serving was plenty. Everything was great. If you want a happy meal, don't go there. But if you want a really delicious meal, give this place a try.

Our waitress was amazing. The food, not so much. I had the ribs, Brussel sprouts and green beans. The green beans were very tasty. I'll go back to try the breakfast. They've been opened since 1935, Something must be good.

Absolutely recommend this place. Great diner breakfast. Very pleasant and timely service. Right across the street from a large Starbuckys...but these folks serve a decent cup of joe of their own! Not that normal burnt briny taste you get in some places. Nothing but good stuff here, folks! Love the dining car refit! You might get lucky and find a good parking space right out front, but if not just keep looking; something will turn up 😉

Just absolutely amazing. It was a great late night meal with incredibly delicious T bone steaks, eggs and crispy bacon. They even offer cinnamon toast and bread pudding. This is your classic, dependable dinner and the service was excellent. Constantly refilled water and it was a great value. Definitely a new favorite local spot!

Classic diner and style of food not often found. Staff is polite and plenty of regulars talking to each other. The food is made to order and comes out quickly. The menu is filled with plenty of choices. Serving portion is large and doubt you’ll leave hungry. Tried. Corned beef has and a breakfast sandwich. Both were good. Plenty of street parking if you don’t get one of the few spots out front.

First time here even though I grew up in the DMV! Came for breakfast on a Saturday at 10 and able to easily get a table. No wait. Service was good and the food was quality. I took my meal home as I couldn’t finish it and it made excellent leftovers. Looking forward to returning.

Walking into this place is like stepping back in time. Absolutely loved it! The staff was amazing (even heard one of them singing). The food was great! The best part of our experience was sifting through the song options while enjoying our meal.
