Came here when the doors opened a while back. We were seated promptly as the restaurant was empty. As the evening went on, of course, it filled up more and more. We ordered a few dishes, all very well done and cooked to perfection.
The place and staff felt very familial and well versed on their specials and menus. While it did take a little while for the food to be served, it's not a chain restaurant where they unseal your food from a bag and microwave it. The wait at a place like this that means the food is very freshly made, and it was indeed worth the wait. I highly recommend this place,
All the food was delicious. I ordered the special, the red snapper was really tasty. The spaghetti marinara was good but the penne vodka was my favorite. For the ones that don’t like pasta we got a chicken with mushrooms sauce, potatoes and veggies.
Excellent Italian food in a lowkwy Bethesda setting that draws many locals. The calamari was good. The flounder stuffed with crab and served with pasta was amazing. It's definitely worth trying from the specials menu. We will be back when looking for traditional Italian food again.
Parking is on the street.
Great little Italian spot. We ordered the specials tonight. A rack of lamb and red snapper in white wine sauce and they where both fantastic. Portions are a nice size and the pasta is fantastic
I love this spot, food is fresh and so many great items on the menu. You must try one of the chicken dishes! I have gone here twice now and have loved it everytime. Nice place for any occasion and great service. Highly recommend!
The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly! It’s a nice change being at a family run restaurant. My favourite is either the penne vodka or the carbonara! If you’re in the mood for dessert, the canolli or zuppe engles are my go to! Will always return for more :)

Ordered the Penne Incazzate, and garlic bread. Everything was fresh and delicious. The waiter (Mark) was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant as well. I will be back.
The atmosphere, food and service at this restaurant are all amazing. This is our second time being back, the first time was when we had a birthday dinner and they were very accommodating. Thank you so much Melinda S. for that wonderful experience during the birthday. We definitely will be back again.
Great authentic Italian fare in downtown Bethesda. I had the seafood risotto, which was fantastic. My wife had the pasta puttanesca with crab meat- delicious as well.
WOW. What can I say about this lovely, family owned restaurant: IT FEELS LIKE HOME. So much so that whether my mom and I feel like celebrating or in need of a mood boost, THIS is where we go. The energy is awesome. You feel the love of a traditional, home-made experience, but with a garnish of elegance and a flare for gourmet excellence.
THE OWNERS AND FOUNDERS ARE STILL IN THE KITCHEN COOKING EACH MEAL, to this day.
Most recently, we had LITERALLY the best meal we have had in a while.
Very Covid conscious, we felt well protected and very comfortable with the sanitization practices.
BUT THE FOOD....OH THE FOOD.
So I think we ordered literally almost 2 items per section on the menu - yep it was our 2nd meal out since March so...
We started with the grilled pumpkin salad made my the lady of the house: Incroyable! (French for incredible).
Then the most amazing pasta dish I have had in years I believe (since I visited Italy in 2008): THE PUMPKIN RAVIOLI. I literally had everyone looking at me - I think my sounds of appreciation were a bit disturbing - ha!
We both had the same entree: The red snapper fillet with sauteed veggies in a white wine and caper sauce - magnificent and enough for 2 meals.
The wine was an incredible Italian made from organic grapes, this was after the negronis from the bar, the drink was perfect - I drank it way too fast.
To show their appreciation for our visit, the kitchen sent us a dessert sample platter made fresh by the chef himself - I have to tell you at this point I was lost in some sort of food trance - I just couldn't believe how delicious every SINGLE dish was. Here we had a flan (yes, flan - but not sweet and sugary, the perfect balance of ingredients), and a freshly made almond cake.
WELL THEN. This experience stayed with me for weeks on end.
This made up for all the COVID misery off not being able to enjoy a delectable meal once in a while.
THANK YOU!!!
Nicest Italian restaurant I've been to in the DMV. Exactly what you want from a little family restaurant. Unpretentious, good prices, relaxed and quiet atmosphere, kind people. The food is good and you never feel rushed.
My all-time favorite Italian spot. Incredible food, ambiance, and service. Their chicken milanese and veal ravioli are to die for.

Awesome authentic, Italian, mom & pop restaurant with great food, decor, and staff!
The atmosphere is wonderful and true to traditional Italian restaurants. The food, especially the pizza, is some of the best in Bethesda no question. Ethan and Matt are professional and understanding, I recommend anyone in the area to give them a try.
