St. Arnold's Mussel Bar/bethesda - Bethesda - Photo album

The food was simply delicious. The sausage plate with kielbasa and brauenworst was hardy, flavourful and filling. Consumed at happyhour it also came with 1L of bier and lovely fried potato skins. For "dessert" a plate of pretzel bites went wonderfully with a half liter of beer. For anyone visiting
Good happy hour and decent bar food. Tried out a couple of the crews, can’t really go wrong there. Food selection was wings and sausage sandwich. Everything came out nicely. Staff is helpful and able to answer questions about brews and menu. Interior looks like a German brew house down to the f
First time visiting. The name was changed from Tyber bier house to St. Arnold's, but there are various kinds of beer and the menu was improved. I love their dishes. Really reasonable during Happy hour.
Update - Tyber closed and was transitioned to the newest St Arnolds location (also in Cleveland Park and Dupont Circle). Tyber and St Arnold shared some of the same owners. You'll find a very similar menu vs other St Arnolds, which means lots of mussels prepared in varying styles, good burgers, meat

Good beer. Food was good. Nothing special though. Just glad to find a place open during the snow storm.
Excellent selection of german beers!!! The bar food is delicious and the prices cant be beat. Also the place is just so down to earthy!
Excellent service, food, and beer. Stopped by with a friend and tried the sampler appetizer as well as the two sausage and cabbage entrees. We each got a different type of sausages and tried them all. Absolutely delicious! The smoked sausages were my favorite for sure. Also was able to get 34oz beer
Was here eight years ago on a business trip, and remembered that the beer was great and the mussels awesome. Back in DC on another business trip and found this place is only 4 blocks from my hotel. So I dropped in - the beer is STILL great and the mussels STILL amazing! Staff very friendly and accom
Great beers. Solid bar experience. Kitchen is a bit iffy - slow and apart from some standards, food is average to bad. Things like sausage platter are great - as you would expect healthy options are limited and bad. Weird things are bad here too, like a past dish my friend ordered. So my advice,
