On a quiet Sunday in late October, my wife and I visited Pete the Greek in Old Bethpage. Our anticipation for a traditional Greek dining experience met with a different reality. The restaurant's setting in a shopping strip brought a distinctive to
some of the best food in the area! I'm definitely a repeat customer although I need to try some other dishes. I have no doubt that it will all be as delicious as the chicken and beef and lamb souvlaki platters.
We ordered the family meal. Lamb/beef gyro and chicken 🐔 solvouki. There was a ton of food . Ordered a piece of spinach pie also which also was a huge piece and very delicious. I highly reccomend
Great food - an absolute local gem. Owned by a local family, so eating here supports our neighborhood. It also is not extremely expensive, and the food quality is fantastic. The lemon potatoes, ooooh man!
I've been coming here for 3 years now and it is always fresh and delicious. More than reasonable prices for the portions and freshness. Service is always top notch. If you're in the area and haven't tried you're missing out.

I live in south Wantagh and I will drive to Old Bethpage for gyros from Pete the Greek! Best gyro I ever had while at a friend's house in Plainview. Just by the weight of it I knew it would be good. Best tzakziki (I probably spelled that wrong lol) sauce too. Can't wait to get another gyro.

Please, please support this establishment. Not only is the food absolutely amazing, but it was also so reasonably priced. The portions are huge!!! I ordered two family meals for my son's family party and everyone raved about it. We had so much food with plenty left over.

I've been raving about Pete the Greek since Sunday 10/11/2020. I haven't had the liberty of having an authentic Gyro since the 80's. ( Souvlaki on 8th Ave , Time Square) . Now, I know that my search is done. What a Gyro!!!😯😊, If you're seeking any original GREEK food ..Pete the Greek is the place!!
I never write reviews. Wow this was great food. We picked up. Ordered a chicken gyro, a beef/lamb gyro and falafels. It was all amazing with good portions. Can't wait to order again.
The food is just amazing. I wrote a great review a few months ago and have ordered since then but need to tell you this is the place to go or order from for the best Greek food around. Consistently excellent. My favorite. 😊 yummy 😋. I promise you will love 💕 it.
