Review Olive Tree Cafe - Bettendorf

The food reminds of the wonderful food in Chicago. The owner is absolutely pleasant and wonderful! I had such a good time talking to him. I crave this food after having lived and Chicago and I’m so glad the Quad cities has it! Will be back 10000% over again

We found this gem while we were on the road to a surprise birthday party.. Amazing food, great atmosphere, the owner went over everything on the menu and could change things up if you wanted. I would recommend this place to go to.. if they were close to out house I would go daily. The restroom is handicap accessible which was a huge relief for my Mom...Great place!!! Enjoyed the food so much.. Be hungry and ready to take home leftovers.. Will go back there again just for the food.. special road trip for Mediterranean food..

AMAZING!!! New to the area and this was our first time trying Olive Tree Cafe. We are a big fan of the food and had our local favorite back in Minneapolis so excited that we found something similar here in the Quad Cities. . It's always a good sign when you show up and there's a line 5 people deep to order. Staff was limited but I'm not going to deduct any stars for extended wait time. Staff was super friendly and super hopeful. Food was better than I hoped and they now have customers for life for as long as we live in the area. . Pictured is there veggie platter, chicken kabob with rice and the gyro platter with rice.

When you get to the counter, there’s a sign that says “We make everything FRESH”. Two bites in and you can tell they are not lying. Food was excellent, well seasoned, and tasted fresh. We had chicken pita and a kaftka bowl. Everything was delicious, and the woman working the counter helped us decide what to get and was obviously giving extra effort to make sure everything was getting to people waiting in a timely fashion. Will definitely be back for more.

Wonderful food and we had a great personal touch chatting with the owner. He was so nice! There was a healthy selection of North African and Middle Eastern food, and even some Indian dishes. Stuffed grape leaves, falafel, samosas, pitas and hummus are great starters for sharing, but then I could barely finish my salmon bowl. I was so full when I left!

Very very friendly owner. Such a hard worker. Can work by himself and still get my difficult order right. I LOVE their huge selection of vegetarian and always willing to customize and accommodate our dietary needs.

Everything I have gotten from here is amazing except the calamari. It smelled very fishy and not fresh. It could use some more lighting It is a little dim. Overall would eat here again

Had Falafel wrap and bowl with hummus and both are delicious. Recently had Pita and Hummus with salad as well as cauliflower shorma Both delicious and fresh but like to have more warm as it’s cold outside

I don’t usually rate places on Facebook, but I wanted to give some feedback. I have eaten at olive tree for some time. My coworkers and I order about once a week. They have great food but it is so inconsistent. The tabouleh salad sometimes has cracked wheat, sometimes quinoa, some cooks put cucumber, others not. We have had a few times where the dressing has no lemon flavor and it’s awful. Today I ordered to go food and was annoyed I had to run back in for my pita, they forgot it. My kids love the pita and would have whined had we not gone back. I get home and I had even asked for extra lemon on my salad and it had no lemon flavor and was about half the size it normally is. There was about 10 bites of spinach in there. Disappointing for a $12 salad. Other menu items we order regularly are inconsistent as well. Hoping this gets through to someone and they change things. I love the food but it needs to be more consistent so we k ow what to expect. Feels like a gamble ordering from this place.

I love the food here but I was deeply disappointed with the staff yesterday afternoon. The conversations between the wait and cooking staff was loud, crass and unprofessional. I had my 3 year old with me and had to leave due to the staff's behavior.

My husband and I took our newborn, 3 and 5 year old there for lunch today. When we walked in there were only 3 tables of people and the waitress was just standing at the computer watching out the window. We ordered our food and then other came in behind us and ordered. We waited for over 30 minutes for our food and it was only 3 plates as my girls were sharing a kids meal of chicken tenders and fries. No one came out to tell us our food was almost ready or to apologize or anything. Finally the waitress came out 30 MINUTES later to offer us hummus! Then she proceeded to bring other tables food out but still not ours. 5 minutes later she brought my kids chicken tenders and they were burnt! And she tried to serve them to us that way. Wow! What a horrible experience and horrible service. Not to mention it smelled like a dirty bathroom in the restaurant. We got a refund and left!

We had the the best experience here! Food was amazing and the owner spent time talking with us. Even the baby was included (she was even rocked and fed) Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

I'm not sure who is working the kitchen today, but I just had the best Tandoori chicken wrap I've ever had. Nice and crispy outside, tender and juicy inside. Delicious! Keep up the good work!

I was very excited to try Olive Tree. But I was terribly disappointed. We ordered three sandwiches. We had to wait two hours before finally demanding a refund. And one of our sandwiches was simply a cheese pita kids meal. The staff was VERY rude to the customers who were all patiently waiting for their food for over an hour or two. One patron was waiting on a salad for over an hour. The staff kept coming up asking people what they ordered and had no clue what orders were placed. I would have understood if it was just a busy afternoon but the staff was so rude instead of being accommodating. They seemed to talk to customers like it was the customers' fault that they had to wait. I have never been treated like that at a restaurant in the QC. We will not be returning.

They have awesome food. The owner is really nice. They can also make their meals vegetarian. Totally like them. Next time, taking my family.�

The food was ok at best but the place is filthy. The 2 counter girls were nice but when they could be cleaning the half dozen dirty tables they just chatted and played with their phones. Also, I saw a kitchen worker brush his hair out of his face with his hand and then grab a flat bread. Lastly, the staff was dressed like they all just came in off the street. This place could be good with a big hit of professionalism.

Amazing food! The falafel is out of this world and the hummus! OH my ..., such delicious hummus!! :-D I've been here twice now and both times was given excellent service. Very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Will definitely be returning!

Communication there sucks. When ordering they should give you a heads up if there’s going to be an extended wait. The place was empty today at 11:05 except for 1 lady ordering ahead of us. We ordered and WAITED for 27 minutes. I’m assuming they had a large call in order before us. The food is good, but we had to eat like a couple recruits in USMC boot camp to get back to work before the hour lunch was over. I won’t be going back.

I stopped here because my hairdresser recommended the place. I'm actually eating here as I type this review. Restaurant is clean, staff is friendly and the food is great! I will be back!

Love this place! The Moroccan meatballs are delicious and fresh, one of the best things I've ever eaten and the Tandoori Chicken wrap... so flavorful! Definitely would recommend.

I loved the food and the girls were super nice. Fair prices. It was a very clean place but with that being said I was not impressed with the vacuuming and sweeping going on around my table while I was eating.

The Moroccan Meatballs were outstanding! And my wife said the Cranberry Pecan salad (with chicken) is the best salad in the QC. Awesome visit.

Food was great tasting but when you ask for no olives for all orders ends up 3/4 of the food orders have olives buried within. They are too busy to help replace with a correct order. Wish I didn't have to throw out over half of it.

I'm really saddened by the experience my dad and I had last night at this restaurant. We love Olive Tree and have been going there for years for a reason - the service and food was great. Recently, the owner has staffed the restaurant with a number of teenage girls and allowed them to work unsupervised (it did not appear that anyone over 21 was working). They were impolite, unprofessional, on their phones the whole time, visibly messing around in the kitchen, and on top of that the quality of the food was terrible (when it came out after an hour - we were the only customers in the restaurant at the time). I really just wanted to share this because it would be really sad to see a local restaurant that used to have a very quality product go out of business due to poor management and VERY poor hiring.

Outstanding! Delicious entrees, generous portions, and good, quick service.

Fresh food. Kind staff.
