Overall the experience at Ocean Prime was good.
Our salads were very good and the meat was tender, however, much of the food lacked any substantial flavor. Unlike the mains, the sides were very tasty and I definitely recommend getting the bacon creamed spinach.
The service was rather laid back/casual. They checked in on us a few times during our meal but we still felt a little rushed. The other thing I noticed was the lack of communication in the kitchen. When we ordered drinks, one of our drinks was not available, however, it wasn't until much later that the server notified us of this. As a result, I didn't receive my drink until after my apps and 5 mins before our main arrived. These aren't big issues, however, given the price point of this restaurant, the service fell short of expectations.
The atmosphere was lovely. They had a live band playing jazz music in the bar section which could be heard from the outdoor patio. We were seated in the best spot on the patio allowing us a great view of the band and the scenery.

Where to begin? From the moment we entered the restaurant to our final exchange with the valet, this was a 5+ star experience. We dined during a less busy Wednesday evening on a beautiful Beverly Hills spring night. Being our 5th night in LA, I had been sharing insights about fine dining with our 15 year old daughter during meals leading to this evening's dinner. I typically cited European service experiences when speaking about professional servers. On this evening we were fortunate to be seated with a server who was a native of Portugal. His service was exquisite and allowed me to confirm for our daughter what we had been discussing prior to the evening. Everyone who attended to our table was truly top notch. As for the bar and kitchen, from the cocktails to the appetizer, through entrees to dessert, this establishment landed in my top 5 all-time dining experiences. It's been years since I've enjoyed such a perfectly prepared and presented meal. On this occasion we all selected seafood entrees, and they were spectacular. Scallops and lobster in abundance and perfectly cooked, fresh fish delicately prepared. A shared dessert of Butter Cake topped it off wonderfully. If I were a resident of LA, this would be a regular treat for myself. Not inexpensive, but quality and service at this level rarely is. Kudos to the entire team at Ocean Prime!
Really good food on the pricier side, like $200 a person including drinks.I enjoyed everything I had and the service is excellent. Worth trying at least once.
Was there for dinner with my BF and we got the best experience we have had in LA. It was both our birthdays and Simon and Fidel were incredibly amazing. If not for the food I would absolutely go back just for the service. The food was AMAZING! I had king crab legs, they come peeled and hot with butter. My Bf had fillet mignon which was cooked to perfection. Truffle fries and garlic mashed and garlic popcorn was so good too. Simon also got us dessert for our birthdays. We’ve been in Cali for about a week and this place has the best food so far and the best service. The place is beautiful with an ambience and the rest of the staff were very kind as well. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Pretty good choice for lunch in close proximity to Rodeo Drive, and other businesses. I walked in without a reservation on a Thursday afternoon and was seated immediately. My waitress was quite pleasant, and as for the food, it was what I was expecting, however while it was good there are certainly better places in the neighborhood.
Favorite steak place. I love the truffle mac&cheese. The garlic mashed potatoes & fries are good. The broccoli was a pleasant surprise. The lobster mac&cheese was a let down.
I dined here with my father and partner as visitors from Australia, and I cannot say enough nice things about this place! Apart from the food being phenomenal, we were served by Tim who was perhaps the best server I have ever experienced (hospitality worker of 8 years). He was the perfect mix of attentive and giving us enough time without a server. When he had to leave he passed us to Eric, who was equally as fantastic. We all enjoyed our time at Ocean Prime but it was made infinitely more enjoyable by Tim & Eric! Thanks guys :)
Of course a steak and seafood restaurant is going to be high priced in Beverly hills. The food was delicious. The ambiance was romantic and beautiful. The service was a little slow for it not to be very busy but our server was great and friendly.
The food and service were excellent! Since it was my first time, I ordered what the waitress suggested. She was spot on for the appetizer, entrée and dessert.
Wonderful service! Amazing food! Made a reservation for outdoor seating and the ambiance outside was great! They also have heaters outside, if needed. The breeze while eating was super relaxing. The Parmesan fries, lobster bisque and salmon were very delicious!
We were walking by this location of Ocean Prime, trying to decide where to eat, when we were warmly greeted by Antoine, who was so welcoming and encouraged us to stay and try the food. We're so glad we did! Our lovely waitress Payton (& the other lovely waitress whose name we didn't get) recommended the New York strip steak and the teriyaki salmon, which were both fabulous! Sam, one of the managers, brought us the most incredible butter cake dessert for our 26 year wedding anniversary and made the night truly special. We'll be back for sure. What a team and compliments to the chefs! You're amazing! ❤🙏🏼
The restaurant is very nice. The food was good. But if you order a steak, you will need to order your sides separately.
The chicken with the Spinach salad was excellent. Oh and the Brussel Sprouts are great.
I celebrated my birthday here and I had an amazing time. The ambience is gorgeous and the services were exquisite. My waiter was from Italy and had amazing recommendations, I would only want services from him, he’s that good! The food was great and so were the drinks. I had a great time and will be returning!
I came in last night with my partner we both ordered the lobster linguine🦞🍝 and shared the butter cake🍰🍓

For service this place is 10/10! There were so many people helping to serve , they are friendly, calm, very observant to everyone’s needs. The food came out quickly. The only downside was the seared tuna was a little cold when it came out. Also some potatoes were a little burnt and had a bitter flavor. The dessert— butter cake— was a nice warm pound cake. They gave me a free desert for my celebration which was a lovely touch! Creme brûlée was so light and silky! French onion soup was large enough for a meal! Overall everything was good. Would come back.
Food was Delicious!!!! We had the scallops, teriyaki salmon, cream spinach, and corn. It was all amazing! Only thing was our server over charged us twice. Not the best server but I wouldn’t let that stop me from going back. I’ll definitely be back for the amazing food!!!
