Peppercorn Grille is not only the best restaurant in Big Bear, it could rival any competition anywhere. The staff is so friendly and make you feel special the minute you walk in the door. The service is excellent and we have never been disappointed in the wonderful food served in this restaurant. Food choices are excellent. We would highly recommend this restaurant and we have many times. Thank you Peppercorn Grille for being in Big Bear Lake, CA.

My partner and I had an incredibly delightful time at Peppercorn Grille. I was celebrating my 40th birthday. We didn't have a reservation. However, we were greeted warmly and invited to enjoy a cocktail. Our wait was less than 15 mins. We got seated and our drink and appetizer order taken quickly and with a smile. Moments later our server took our entree order and asked if we would like more drinks etc etc. Our food was served quickly and correct. Our meals were delicious! At the end of our evening we ordered dessert. Our waiter brought the dessert with a candle in it for my birthday. It was a thoughtful touch and added to our overall enjoyment. We'll definitely be back when visiting Big Bear! Thanks again for a delightful experience!
The food never disappoints here. Sometimes service has been slow in the past but last night was a treat. Waiter was awesome. Food top notch. Had reservations and got seated right away. Could not have asked for a better treat for a family birthday celebration. Thank you Peppercorn..

Right from when you approach the restaurant you are greeted by the most friendliest hostess... Shes amazing! The server was fabulous and gracious and served the best Chardonnay ever at a reasonable price...
The atmosphere was wonderful: soft nice music in the background; the service was great, with happy employees tending to any needs we had. Food was excellent: had the crab cakes, Thai Tiger Prawns (that sauce was superb!) , and the Clam Chowder. All of it was well prepared, nicely plated, and not a crumb was left on the plate. Thank you for providing a wonderful memory.... we will be back!

My husband and I enjoyed dinner at Peppercorn Grille. The food and experience were so good that we came back today for lunch. My five star rating is based on our dinner experience. Not lunch. Our lunch meals were nothing great. Very lackluster and forgettable. I chose potato salad as my side and it was presented with a yellow tinge as if it had been sitting out for a while. My husband chose potato wedges and four came with his sandwich and they were pretty bland. Good thing we had dinner first, because if it were the other way around, we wouldn’t have come back.
Lunch with my daughter. We both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Excellent service and delicious food! Highly recommend eating here.
Thank you Candice for excellent service. Great atmosphere. Super compliments the chefs. Food perfect presentation and taste . Strawberry chicken salad with goat cheese was wonderful. Pulled pork sandwich was awesome. Hawaiian burger was so delicious. Only minor comment is the staff are two eager to clean the tables and to clear it too often. An empty table is not pleasant to sit at . Only my personal opinion. Either than that the staff or super friendly and super pleasant.
Wonderful, quiet, peaceful atmosphere to sit and have a conversation while you enjoy excellent Italian food and dessert. The drinks were very good as well. We will be back.
First time here and it was a very enjoyable evening with great food and service. Our server was very entertaining and have great suggestions for our meal and wine selection. I had the exceptional klam chowder and main course lobster ravioli. The portions were very satisfying on our next visit we will try Deserts.

Everything about this experience was five stars. The salmon and the chicken entrées were out of this world and the service and the ambience was top-tier. They must visit when in the village at Bear Lake.
They have a pretty good menu. The food is good, and has a great location with both indoor and outdoor seating.
The espresso martini was a little watered down but overall good for taste.
I personally ordered the tomato pasta and they were very accommodating to switch the type of pasta in the dish to my liking, which I really really appreciated! The staff was super friendly and nice and made great suggestions in terms of menu.
I would definitely go back here again!
I came here on Sunday night for a solo dinner, about half an hour before closing time. The server- I don’t remember her name- was excellent, kind, and helpful. The server assistant was also lovely and always kept my water full. And the food was wonderful- I loved the chicken Marsala and it really hit the spot after a 20-mile hike.
After having a somewhat disappointing dinner elsewhere the night before, it was so nice to come here. Thank you for taking care of me half an hour before closing. And hats off to the chefs who cooked up a lovely meal!

Prices were on the higher side which is to be expected for the area and how nice the restaurant was.
Spent 170$ or so including tip. But the food was great, got the clam chowder ( no bread bowl sadly), salmon and calamari and some wine, the bread took a little bit to get but the place was packed and the servers were all rushing around
There wasn't nearly enough parking also and we had to park across the street but wasn't a big deal.

Excellent restaurant. There are lots of places to eat in the village, but if you want a nice dinner or romantic I recommend this place. It was very nice. They have a great big menu with lots of original choices on it like chicken cordon blu pasta which was delicious. The staff is very top notch and the atmosphere is quiet and beautiful

Food was amazing! Hubby had the lobster ravioli and I enjoyed the artichoke stuffed chicken. Both were delicious. Nod to the sweet potato mash as well. Our server Josh was friendly and personable. He was quick with our drinks and food and the support staff was quick to pick up finished plates and items from the table. Josh was spot on with his menu recommendations. Atmosphere is a fine dining feel, soft music that wasn't overwhelming. Overall a 5 for us. Will definitely add this to our regular-stops list when up in Big Bear.

Peppercorn was recommended by our Airbnb host along with 3 other restaurants all within a few feet of each other. We chose Peppercorn because they had their own parking lot and there was parking available…the others didn’t…that simple. Lol. We were greeted by in incredibly friendly host and immediately seated by a window table so that we could watch the passersby’s as we ate. Our waiter, Garrett, was at the table within minutes. A side note, if you have the honor of being served by this incredibly knowledgeable and friendly waiter, you’re the lucky one! Superb service!! To start, we ordered the potato skins with a side of ranch dressing, and their take on this dish was like none we’ve had. Very delicious. For my entree, I ordered the filet mignon, medium well, with a side of garlic mashed potatoes and veggies. I don’t favor broccoli and cauliflower, so I asked if I could get a dinner salad instead. While they don’t typically sub anything at all, Garrett was kind enough to substitute the veggies for me and thee salad was really delicious. The steak was a little over done, but still packed with flavor and paired nicely with the garlic mashed potatoes. My husband had the chicken breast and sun dried tomato pasta and gave it a 5 for 5. The chicken was moist and tender, and cooked perfectly. The blend of pasta and sauce, was spectacular. We were planning to return later for desert but by the time we returned around 6:30pm, there was already an hour and a half wait. So I guess we’ll have my husbands celebratory birthday desert the next time we return to Big Bear. Overall, the service was phenomenal and the food was delicious! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had the best Valentine's Day dinner ever at Peppercorn Grille! ♥️ The atmosphere was intimate and festive - it felt very romantic and cozy. The extra touches at each table with heart shaped confetti, candy kisses, flowers and candles really added to the experience. The service and food were incredible. Our server, Kjersti, was very friendly and fun. We started our meal with the featured Lover's Martini and it was delicious. Husband had the crab cakes, clam chowder, and halibut with mashed sweet potato - he raved about it all saying that he wished he could just keep eating everything. 😋 I enjoyed the bacon wrapped, crab-stuffed shrimp and the boullabaissa with a salad. It was so much food but incredibly delicious. We got the featured cheesecake to go as we were so full but incredibly tempted by the desserts. It was the perfect Valentine's Day dinner! 🥰

What a perfect birthday dinner! Made a reservation online the day before. Would recommend making reservations because it is a smaller place but so cute. They have a patio and allow dogs too! Top notch service and absolutely delicious food. We had a lovely, quiet evening. Highly recommend stopping here.
More formal setting than we had anticipated, but we were still well-received in our hiking attire. There isn't an official kids menu, but the waiter did tell us about some smaller plate options for the kids, and they even found some coloring pages for them in the back. Food was delicious.
