Decent Food. Friendly Staff. Nice atmosphere in this restaurant. Food was so so. Our waitress was really nice which made it a decent experience. However our food took a little bit to come out and was very average. They have a nice menu and I would probably return in the future, but nothing spectacular my first time.
ROMANCE, BIG BEAR STYLE!. My first feeling was walking into a lodge with a bunch of locals. They're open late, 10 pm most nights. We arrived at 915, greeted and were seated at a table right next to the fireplace. It was cozy, and romantic. I had a filet, the larger 10oz for 34.95. It came with the soup and salad bar and a side. It was cooked perfectly, and super tender. I got a baked potatoe, and they brought all the fixings on the side, which was wonderful. And they brought large amounts, not dinky little condiment cups of butter and sour cream. Husband had the shrimp scampi, which seemed a little small for the same price as my filet. But it tasted great. I would visit here again and again... the husband has said he'll just get a steak next time! The atmosphere and perfectly cooked steak will make this a freaquent stop for us when we visit Big Bear. Take a loved one and request a seat by the fireplace :)
We had a fantastic dinner last night. We started with happy hour in the bar. The drinks, the food and the service are outstanding! Very good value for the price. The salad bar alone with its fresh ingredients is worth a visit!
As one of the few places that still does dine in we gave this place a second chance. The first time around we were not impressed. This time was much better and we even got a table next to the fire. Be prepared to spend decent money on your meal.
This place has seafood by the half and full pound, which is great especially if you can get down on crab legs and lobster! Drink menu is good, and you can't beat eating fireside. The husband and I ate here for our first wedding anniversary πβ€οΈ I think we may come back in the years to come to celebrate!
Awesome place with great history. Our server Lorraine was amazing. She served some great martinis πΈ. The food is worth the price and atmosphere.
Celebrated our 5th Anniversary. My Prince Charming and I had a wonderful experience with friendly staff, delicious food and great ambiance. We will be back again and againπ
Overall great experience. Food was delicious all around with a nice old timey feeling. The waitresses didn't win American Idol so they wouldn't sing Happy Birthday to me, instead they had a bear do it.
The food was delicious. You definitely get your moneys worth here. Our signature cocktails were on point, the bartender isn't shy with the alcohol. Complimentary bread was very good, clam chowder was great. The surf and turf was one of the best I've ever had. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. From being greeted upon arrival, to our waitress, the employees here all helped eachother out and accommodated all of our needs. Top notch service from the entire staff. We will definitely be returning customers.
This place has it all...if I could give it six stars I would! Greated with a smile as soon as we walked in, seated immediately, romantic rustic feeling atmosphere, delicious food that is very reasonably priced for its incredible quality. Amazing and friendly staff. Thank you Captains Anchorage for being a part of making our anniversary so perfect! π π π π π π
