Absolutely the most delicious food and wine. Clearly someone is taking great care to source the very best of everything they serve. I've been here probably a half dozen times and every single time has been perfect! Must haves: Secret Squirrel wine, Potein, Buffalo Cauliflower, Lamb Shanks, Elk Medallions, Mac'n cheese pizza (pretty much every pizza), and the Staff Burger.... most importantly make a reservation, go with a group, sample off every plate.... You will not regret trying anything here.
The environment was very welcoming and the staff was very friendly and professional. The food was absolutely amazing and will definitely be my go to spot for delicious food. Last but not least the crap cakes were the best I've had out of anywhere. I've been waiting to find good crab cakes, they are to die for. I will definitely be eating there very frequently.
I would strongly suggest the staff burger!!! It was messy but delicious. Our server was extremely nice and knowledgeable. Wine samples were appreciated. I can't wait to try something new next time. Best restaurant in town!
I absolutely LOVE this place!! The ambiance is wonderful and the food is to die for. (I would literally die for the poutine and bison hash)

Haven’t been back in Billings for 20 months so we had our one meal out at Local. It had also been 20 months since I had my favorite, the lamb shank. It was so good! My only problem was that I couldn’t finish it nor take it with me as we were leaving the next morning. Hope that I don’t have to wait that long until the next time. Great food and service! We’ve go a lot of good food places in Boise but northing quite like Local.

Went last night for my first time for a friends birthday dinner. Let's just say it was amazing. Great food and service. And the menu isn't to big for you to change your mind multiple times. Differently can't wait to go back.
This is our favorite spot in Billings! Food has always been delicious and service was friendly. And the peanut butter!
No complaints at all but it would be awesome to see a creative vegetarian entree or even a delicious house made black bean/veggie patty to substitute on the staff burger.

Great service, great atmosphere, and the food was some of the best I've had. Smaller venue so reservations are probably a must but I will definitely be back!

We were visiting Zimmerman trail and Googled "best restaurant near me" and decided to give this place a try after the great reviews. We got there at 6.30pm and it was pretty empty but the patio filled up fast. Oh what to say - the food was amazing! Best I've had in a long time. We had the Buffalo short ribs, the daily special salad and pizza for the kids. Crack pie as desert. All was delicious! Bonus points as they had Stiegl Grapefruit Radler which was perfect on this hot summer evening.
Local is our go-to for a consistent fabulous lunch. Service is fast and always friendly. I was at Local for lunch when Bethany Olson (previous review) was eating lunch with her family. Her husband threw a fit and went behind the service line because he was tired of waiting and tried to grab his food off the line. The wife (Bethany, if that’s a real account) left the restaurant out of embarrassment, and the husband ended up apologizing to the server for his ridiculous and embarrassing behavior. So sad. Don’t let her review deter you from our very favorite lunch/dinner spot. Consistent delicious food served quickly in a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. The absolute definition of Local!
Our first time to visit and it won't be our last! The food was fantastic! And the quantities was large! My wife and i shared the wheat pancakes and eggs and we were both full! Thankfully we had a reservation which was a food thing for Sunday brunch. The waitress was also great!
It was really tight seating so it was difficult for my grandma's walker and my service dog to fit, but the food was amazing and the service was super nice and helpful. Overall I will be going back again! But I definitely recommend calling ahead or making a reservation.
The food here is some of the best in town, and the ever changing menu keeps things fresh and new every time we visit! I have been here several times for date night, or a double date with friends and have never been disappointed. If you're on the west end and want a great dining experience, this is the place to be. The prices are higher, but I think the quality justifies it.
We loved it so much!!! I recommend the shrimp tacos but everything looked delicious and my dad said the local mess dip sandwich was great too!! Don’t forget to get their fries!!!! And the peanut butter mousse was perfect!
This is by far our FAVORITE place to eat. From the service, to the food, to the atmosphere. I just love everything about it! I read a few reviews one about a dry burger. WHAT?! I have now gotten a burger 3 times and everytime they have been one of the best burgers I’ve ever tried. Also, the staff wears masks (most local places in Billings don’t) and are just amazing! We have now been multiple times and the food gets better every single time! This is a place we go to treat ourselves. We absolutely LOVE it! Sooo glad we are less than a mile away!
Setting: really cool looking place that fits both laid back and fancy.
Service: our waiter was nice and didn’t over step in any way and knew the special by memory. It did kind of feel like they wondered why we were there not exactly the friendliest.
Food: some really creative combinations and fresh veggies. The burger had great taste until you got to the meat. The beef dried everything out in your mouth as you chewed but the pickled cucumbers and whipped cheese and bacon were great the beef was just dry. The hummus plate was fresh!
