1,187 miles from Billings to Mexican border and you can tell. Not sure if this place is Mexican or American or a 1950s diner. Grandma and I went for lunch. We ordered a fajita plate with a mixture of meats. It was all clearly warmed up from the night before, Grandma is the queen of the microwave after all. Her “home cooking” is Cracker Barrel warmed up for 90 seconds. It’s a family secret but the only secret is that we don’t tell granny. The queso was tiny and $9 and the kids food came out in little cars that was cute but not practical, expected or wanted. Just go to Taco Bell or even Taco John’s if you want Mexican. At least it won’t be served in a classic car. Trying too hard here amigos.

Rio Sabinas is a great place to eat. Really like the pork and beef tacos. Shrimp saltillo was good too.
Staff was friendly and provided great service.
Only thing is they don't have the traditional salsa, but it is Tex-Mex so that might be why.

Barely squeaked out the 3 star-first impression was terrible with the main server/manager being a terrible person with terrible person skills. Second the food came out cold and the entire place may be dangerously understaffed.
Pros-cold bar to keep your beer or refreshments Ice cold.
Cool atmosphere
Despite the good being cold, the app was delicious and the main entre was still good.
Fresh cut limes
Awesome music
Cons-clean up your staffing issues

I honestly wish I would have wadded up $30 and thrown it on the ground. I ordered 21 single fajitas and what came out was a huge plate of onions and 4 slices of meat. Which I cut up into a lot or small pieces. I bit into a bone ..seriously...they get 2 stars because the server was nice. Worst prices for the amount of food. Had to pay extra for cheese and the pici was less than a teaspoon. I won't be back . Go to Los Mayas not great service but the best food and great prices. Picture looks like more meat thN what there was because it was cut up

I have literally never written a review before but feel the need to do the Billings public a service. The food is decent but I’ve never been to a restaurant that is so openly hostile to their customers. We went out for Mother’s Day dinner and were able to get a table fairly quickly. That being said, once our order was placed we waited a very long time for our food to arrive. When we asked our frazzled server when to expect our food she stated she didn’t know. When we started we were dumbfounded by this response a stern manager came to the table and stated “it’s been 40 minutes since your ticket was placed and we are very busy”. No sorry, nothing at all. Another waitress (not our original server) overheard this exchange and within 5 minutes aggressively served our food with what could be described as the weirdest experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant and that’s saying a lot since I am close to 50 years old and have a lot of dining experience at this point. I’ve never had my food slammed down in front of me before. So so weird. Anyhow, save your money for a restaurant that doesn’t openly hate the customers that are patronizing their business.

All staff were extremely pleasant and professional.
Cuisine definitely leans more toward 'Tex-Mex'
I enjoyed a steak burrito smothered in red enchilada sauce which was very delicious.
I ordered a deep-fried chile relleno to try and was personally disappointed because of it resting in broth liquid {this is only 2 times I've found rellenos in liquid}

Not sure how this place stays busy... the food is mediocre at best - inconsistent is a good word for the food - overpriced for sure. Had dinner here twice... first
Occasion should have been enough to know better. After the second time I knew I wouldn’t come back. Edible food yes... if I had a fifty percent of coupon I wouldn’t use it... no value for overpriced mediocre food. Decent atmosphere, service was okay.

I took my mom here for a nice dinner...or so I thought. Let me just be blunt, if you go here expecting Texas or southern states TexMex food, you will be extremely disappointed. I ordered the Fajita Chicken Enchiladas....there was very little enchilada sauce with a scattering of melted white cheese and LETTUCE..who puts lettuce on top of an enchilada!!!! Everything tasted like it came off the shelf or from a can/jar. I usually don't care enough to write reviews but this was exceptionally bad in my opinion.
