El Corral is the Best Mexican food in B town cooked with only the best fresh ingredients. Fast friendly service in a bright and very clean atmosphere. Owner/Server Kaycie remembers us and our preferences each and every time we arrive. Food servings are very good portions on hot plates. We will continue to eat here and recommend El Corral to anyone looking for a real Mexican meal.

This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Billings. Family owned and family recipes. Worth your time to stop and eat here. This secret place needs to be shared to everyone. How have I missed it for 2 years? Definitely some of the most flavorful food in town. And the deserts.... leave room.... you will not want to miss out.

The food was delicious! My husband was raised in El Paso and he could not believe how wonderful it was. The portions are huge, so, come with an appetite. The service was great and the prices are very fair for the amount of food you get.

Recently out for a family supper....was blown away by the service, the suggestions were amazing and the food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. Best Fried Icecream I have had in years! Cannot wait to be back in Billings, this is a guaranteed return spot.

I have been to this place at least 5 times in the last 6-8 months. The food is pretty good! However, the waitress has the worst attitude I have ever seen. She never writes anything down, and ALWAYS gets my order completely wrong and then proceeds to have a witchy attitude and blames the customer. I have a food allergy so there are only a few places I can even eat. I don't order anything complicated (chicken tacos on corn tortillas), and EVERY time I have been here my order is wrong, even when 5 other people at the table heard me tell her my exact order. Somehow she keeps bringing me beef tacos (which I can't eat) on flour tortillas (which I can't eat). Then she acts like I'm just trying to make her life harder by sending it back until she brings me what I originally ordered. The last time I went, I didn't tell her I had an allergy when she messed up the order twice and she gave me the RUDEST attitude and made snarky remarks. She needs to fix her attitude and get a notebook to write orders down before I will ever go here again. Love the food and will be sad. Dang.

One word short review: disappointing.
The restaurant is cramped with not much room to walk around the tables. Several times I felt like we were in the way it going to get something dropped on us.
Upon entering we were greeted by a whiteboard with much writing on it for it's size. After a thorough reading we discovered that we should seat ourselves. Missed an opportunity to be greeted here.
Timeliness, this restaurant struggles in this area. We found an empty table to sit, 5 minutes later we were greeted and drink order was taken. Chips, salsa and drinks were provided in short order by the waiter who seemed to only do these tasks. Our waitress appeared 12 minutes later to take our order. Food arrived over 40 minutes later! The younger ones in our group were pretty upset and restless at that point.
Only a couple of our drinks were refilled, even after we asked for refills. Refill needs should be easy to notice, the cups are the ugly translucent red. All you have to do is look. Eventually we gave up.
Food. There spicy salsa was pretty good, the bland one was not. It looked and this tasted like red water with green onions. Yuck!
The member of our party that had the chorizo said it wasn't good, or spicy.
Verde special on the other hand was actually quite good. The rest of the food was unremarkable.
The attitudes of the waitress was not good. Our food was served with a, "here!" The other waitress was overheard not being kind either.
In the end I do not recommend this restaurant. This was our second visit, our first was over a year ago and we had a similar experience then but decided to give them another shot.
So here we are again, disappointed.
Extra notes:
Bathroom doors are hard to operate, the kids had a hard time pushing them open. Appears that the closers need to be adjusted.
Is one of these waitresses the owner? Maybe. I guess she must have been the grumpiest one.
No kids menu. What. The. Hell. It's the 21st century, your restaurant isn't inviting for families!
They served one kid's food on a scorching hot plate. Again, WTH?

I was a visitor in town from Phoenix AZ, so I know really good Mexican food when I find it. I went to El Corral because I had heard about it from a friend. I had the Green Chili Pork Chimichanga. I would rate it the best Green Chili Pork Chimi I have ever had. Bean and rice were also awesome. I highly recommend this place for authentic Mexican food. By the way the service was great also, the building was also very nice, new and cozy.

I love their food. It is always a great atmosphere and the server knows us every time we go in and remembers what we eat and drink. Not the best Mexican food in town but close to it. Also very reasonable lunch prices.

Disgustingly filthy restaurant, server smelled like cigarettes, observed both cooks smoking outside and not washing their hands afterward. Took several minutes just to be acknowledged that we were even there; yet there were only two other couples in the whole place. Lots of dirty dishes lying around. Nothing authentic about this place. Id rather go to Taco Bell.

The staff was great. Even when we came in late. Their carne asada fries are bomb!!! Give you good portions too! Highly recommended!!

So, they were a little busy. Took 20 minutes to get a menu. Could have still been ok, but every table that came after us left before us. Sad, because the food is pretty good.
