This is the best coffee shop in Blacksburg. Both the coffee and the food are excellent- try the soups, or a breakfast sandwich with pesto. If you are looking to study, to meet with a friend, or to grab a quick meal, this is the place! The atmosphere is bright and cheery, and the service is excellent. Such kind people work here. Do yourself a favor and make this your regular coffee shop and lunch spot!
Fantastic! Just moved to Blacksburg and found a place with great coffee, bubble tea and delicious baked goods all in one place. I will be doing a lot of studying here.
Next door bake shop is the perfect place to focus and do homework outside of the traditional library setting. Along with the homely atmosphere, the food is fantastic! The owner Pie greets me every morning with the warmest smile on her face asking how my day is going and I must say it's one of the bright spots of my morning (: overall experience 11/10

I've always enjoyed NDBS's coffee, soups and baked goods. When I recently needed a very special dessert, on very short notice, I called all over the NRV, and only one place was willing and able to do it for me that day - Next Door Bake Shop. Thanks for the amazing pie, and for the willingness to do it on such short notice - you truly saved the day!!

I have enjoyed their bagel sandwiches a few times. The coffee is average, but good. What I love about this place though, is the beatiful interior design and its homey atmosphere. Overall, one of my favorite spots in town whenever I am in the area.
Love this quaint little shop!! Got delicious coffee there yesterday and will be stopping there today for a bite to eat on the way home!
Got the Pumpernickel Breakfast (limited time only) and the Fresh Coconut Latte. Came in for a early Saturday study session and the cashier was so nice. Will be back!
We ordered a birthday cake for our daughter who is a student there at Tech. It turned out absolutely perfect!
I highly recommend Next Door Bake Shop! It’s such a cute and cozy atmosphere and the breakfast bagels and paninis are delicious!!! They make the cutest baked goods and add so much to the town of Blacksburg! I love how they add a thai twist to some of their menu items and they not only have coffee but bubble tea too!! Definitely check them out if you’re in town or live locally:) You won’t regret it!
I had a bacon egg and cheese bagel from here a few months ago and it was awful so i was very hesitant to come back. However this morning I did and my Gobbler bagel was excellent. Hope they can keep this up!
Variety of delicious sandwiches, bubble teas, pastries ! Very comfortable seating area to work on your computer as well as a play area for the kids and some cross and knot game space. Has a very artistic interior which definitely give the positive vibes!
As far as I can tell, they have the best bagel sandwich in Blacksburg. My friend's recommendation was right. With a cup of coffee in the morning at the table, I feel like I am in New York.
If I could give a million stars I would!! This little cafe is SO CUTE! We were visiting VT from Florida and wanted some coffee and breakfast and found Next Door Bake Shop and we were so blown away by the service and food!! I loved their breakfast sandwich options, and the stuffed bagel was so yummy! The s'mores latte was so delicious too! 100% recommended to anyone on campus or visiting the area!!
