Souvlaki is like a hole-in-the-wall bar that serves greek food. i mean that in the best way possible. it’s very genial or familiar. you sort of seem like you’ve been in there 100 times on your first visit. The owner knows everyone that walks in.
I ordered a gyro because i didn’t know what else to order and that seemed like a classic option. it didn’t impress me, but i don’t know greek food that well at all so i wouldn’t know.
the music set a certain aura that just fit so well. i liked it so much, i asked for the spotify playlist - wade in the water radio.
This place has been nothing but excellent for the 15 years that I have been in the area. Sadly the last trip something was wrong with my Gyros. The tzatziki wasn't right, or they put something completely different on the gyros. I'm leaving the 5 star review because my last experience was unique to my history of eating at Souvlaki.
The food is always quick but delicious! The Gyro Plate is my favorite and it never disappoints! Glad to have this gem in our community!
A true local business. No fancy dining room or trendy dishes but solid food, great staff and owner.
A great family feel in downtown Blacksburg with an incredible selection of Greek dishes. Perfect for anything from a sub on the go to a nice sit-down meal outside with friends. It's not only my favorite spot but it's also where I adopted my two kittens, Gryo & Charlie. Will always be a home away from home.
Good atmosphere with low prices. I love their friendly people and awesome music. It gives me a relax and family feel. Would be a good place to go when alone.
