Happy wok has huge portions at very low prices the only problem is I feel like I'm in Brooklyn and not Blacksburg when I'm eating there
The authentic menu. Happy Wok does indeed have an authentic menu in Chinese. The food is pretty good, considering it's located in Blacksburg.
Happy Wok's food is generally pretty good and I feel it has gotten better since it opened in downtown Blacksburg several years ago. The General Tso's is pretty good, not to spicy, but not too dull. Egg rolls are really good when fresh, sometimes they are a little plain. Overall I think its one of the best Chinese food places in the Blacksburg/C'burg area!
2020-3-10 Update: Portion size is huge. I could skip my dinner with one lunch with them. Great!
A nice place for good and cost-effective Chinese food. Items listed on the walls are better than the ones printed on paper menus but are more expensive. Less than $10 to feed your hunger. A very popular eatery among Chinese students at Virginia Tech. Highly recommended.
This non-descript restaurant doesn't look fancy - it's set up with 8 tables, cheap seats, and old furnishings, but what it lacks in ambiance it totally makes up for in FLAVOR! Our friend from China is attending Virginia Tech, and she was excited to share this place because of its authenticity. We discovered that the printed English menu is different from the Chinese menu hand-written on the white boards. Our friend even ordered a traditional Chinese cabbage and pork dish that wasn't on the menu, but the owner/cook was happy to make it for us. You could tell that this place was a "home away from home" for the many Chinese students that attend VT. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great place!
Best food in Blacksburg General Tso chicken is absolutely 🔥🔥🔥🔥 spring rolls make ya go mmmmm good size helpings low price
I ate sesame tofu, salt black pepper chicken, and stir fried shrimp with eggs it was delicious.
Good taste with good quality. I ordered general tso’s chicken with rice and it was good. Pick-up is the only service for now, but it is still great.
Edit: Now I order food at here every once a week.
This is a no frills, inexpensive Chinese restaurant with an expansive menu. They have lot of of authentic Chinese dishes and very popular with Asian students at VT. Was the only place with Authentic Chinese I always order from the Authentic menu.
I was elated to find out that this is now owned by the old China Inn owners. We did pick up and were very pleased with our meals. Same awesome service and quality as China Inn! We had crispy chicken , dumplings and orange chicken. All very delicious! .....bonus,was also happy that they are not using styrofoam for pickups.
