Excellent service; clean and pleasant dining experience; large portions. The Hawaiian shrimp fajitas were wonderful. My husband, who doesn't usually like Mexican food, said it is the best he has eaten. He had the beef quesadilla. It was our first time there. It won't be our last.

Outstanding food. The dining area was nice and open beautifully decorated. Very good service. I had the special and the beef was top quality cuts. Salsa was good enough to drink. I rarely get thru here but was pleasantly impressed and hope you have the same experiences. Very clean!

Not great food and honestly don't know what they are trying to pass as ground beef, seriously looks and feels like dog food, in a taco served to my daughter. Margarita tasted funny and to top it off, swear I saw a mouse run by the wall under our booth as another couple sat down behind us! Let's just say this is the first time we left lots of food on the table without boxing it up to go.

Stopped in for a bite and a break from the road. First time here. Being from Arizona I wasn't really impressed with the salsa, Chips were good, tho. I felt that prices were a little high but not out of line. I went with the Chimichanga (found it to be a little small, compared to what I'm used to) but was GOOD. Came with lettuce, guac, & sour cream. Beans & rice were mixed together. I would eat here again

The first time I went I had chili rellanos and they had a very sour taste, asked if they used pickled peppers and was told they did not , so having lived in the southwest for 30 years and eaten and prepared mexican food all that time, that tells me they were bad , as in spoiled or soured, I couldn't eat them. Had a taco , I don't care for seasoned meat mixture but they were a decent amount of filling. The rice was unlike any I have ever had... I'm still not sure what I thought of it or if I would want it again. I probably won't eat here again but the staff were very nice, except for a waitress who couldn't care less.

Incredibly over-priced, low-quality food served in a nice atmosphere with friendly staff.
Now, for the details. I stopped in on a Saturday night while on a long road trip. The square in which this restaurant is situated is a charming area. The deco of the restaurant itself is nice--fun chairs, clean, big-screen tv, ample room, tables or booths available. The server was very nice and attentive. The menu features dishes in the 10.99 to 15.99 range. For that price, I imagined the quality would be decent. I ordered the "carnitas", which came with rice and beans. The service was suspiciously fast. The pork clearly had not been cooked to order, it was tough, clearly old, and had a slightly rancid taste and smell to it. The rice and beans were not offensive in any way, but were some of the most unimaginative and bland versions of these side items I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Granted, I have lived many years in a city with a large Mexican population, so I've been spoiled with the real thing. I ate almost half the dish (I was starving from the journey) before simply giving up.
I imagine the atmosphere must be what is attracting customers or unsuspecting travelers here. I will certainly never return, and the dinner I had has made a lasting negative opinion of the food. Again, the staff that greeted us and served us did a fine job, so a big thanks to them. I imagine that their hard work is unfortunately being wasted on whoever the restaurant's owner is. Too bad. It wouldn't take much to turn this place around, but as long as they are cooking the meat the way they are currently, it isn't going to happen.

So glad they open early for breakfast now. We were there this morning.
They don't have a breakfast menu but apparently can fix about anything you would like. They call it an American breakfast but I asked if they did any Mexican type breakfast meals and mentioned chilaquiles. The waitress said they could do that. Not only did they do it, they produced an over the top plate of food. And the best part, is you can order breakfast all day long.

We ate there Saturday night. Great original Mexican food !!! I am from Texas and we have a lot of great Mexican food. Rancho Centinela ranks right up there with the best that I have had in Texas. My wife and I are moving to Davis county soon. We will be regulars at Rancho Centinela.

We are regulars here and it is always great! (Hint - always ask for chicken from the grill rather than the standard shredded chicken.)

Great home cooked authentic Mexican food and decor!

The staff is very friendly. The food is very good! Price point is very reasonable for the amount of food you get! I recommend getting cheese dip too!

Not terrible food but far from great, a bit pricy also!
