Best smoked food in town! Bring your ham in for Easter! You won't be sorry when they smoke it and slice it perfectly for you!

Smoked and diced beef brisket -- exceptional! Ranch beans and coleslaw make it a meal. Cafeteria style. Friendly service. Comfortable seating. Pepsi products. Closed Sundays and Mondays. Wheelchair accessible.

Update - they've closed after decades in business. A sad passing. I'm not a BBQ expert but I do like food and these guys have great food. It's not fancy but fancy isn't the point. I've seen mentions that they don't make their own side dishes. I don't know, but I do know i like the sides. The meat is supposed to be the star of the show, though, and Longhorn knows how to treat its stars. The smoked brisket is the best I've had, including the brisket from the BBQ chains in Dallas. The smoked turkey is now the only way I can truly enjoy turkey. The lunch special is a great deal: one sandwich with your choice of hot or mild BBQ sauce and two sides. For reals - this is Texas style BBQ done really well.

This place ALWAYS has reliably good BBQ. I would recommend calling ahead if you're going to order ribs, otherwise you might get something substandard. I think I've tried every type of meat they offer on the menu. They're all great. I miss the days years ago, when they had draft beer. Their corn bread is awesome, and most of their sides are good too. Come ready to spend a little money, but no more than you would at any other BBQ place. This place is better.

Very nice service. Great taking food; baked beans, cole slaw, mac and cheese, cole slaw, and of course BRISKET sandwich. However, restroom needs cleaning, trays were never pick-up in the one there and new paint on shudders would brighten front up, tale off crayon print on windows, and trim hedges in front. The employee answered my question of how long been here at " since 1998" which says that business is good cause food is.

Best Brisket in town. As close to Texas as you will get. Great staff. Lunch special is a great deal. Family pack also if you are feeding the whole family. They even have a drive thru. Catering has always been great.

We are so glad they survived the Pandemic. The food here is always top notch. The service is great. In house dining now available.. It's always our first choice for BBQ.

Great, casual atmosphere with delicious no frills BBQ and all the dill pickles you can eat! You order cafeteria style and sit in comfortable but simple surroundings with Western art and memorabilia around you. The cornbread and Mac n cheese are clearly homemade and the chopped beef sandwich is a lunch favorite. You can be in and out in 10 minutes with takeout, or 30 minutes if you eat in (depending on how quickly you get that delicious food in your tummy!)

Longhorn is always good. The turkey and sausage are my favorites. I've had some great brisket here and some that was dry for my taste. They are consistent though. Friendly place too.

My family and I had came in here under the impression it was Longhorn steakhouse that we had gift cards for. And we realized it was the wrong place, so we decided to stay anyway and it was amazing definitely worth it, everything is portion well ,green beans are super good, I had the smoked turkey and my fiancé had the pulled pork. Kids loved it ,they had mac & cheese for them. definitely worth the stop !

We enjoyed our lunch at Longhorn Smokehouse. Our food was great. It was fresh and hot. We really like the French fries. We had chopped beef brisket. It was tasty and the barbeque sauce has just the right amount of zing to make you excited for the next bite. Staff were coirtious and friendly. Nice casual dining.

Melt in your mouth tender brisket and fall off the bone ribs! Also had the beans and mac and cheese which were both excellent, along with the cornbread. Come hungry!

Longhorn is a long-time bbq staple on the south side of Bloomington. The lunch specials are a solid value with your choice of meat and two sides for around $7. I'd highly suggest grabbing the generous cut of juicy, well-smoked brisket! Their scalloped potatoes and baked beans are tasty as well.

I ate here on February 3, 2018 after the restaurant was suggested on my Facebook feed as "Restaurants To Try in Bloomington-Normal." I gave them a shot. Guess what?.. The food did not disappoint! I let the woman know it was my first time eating there and she made recommendations. She suggested I try the home-made cornbread, which was on point! She explained it's family operated and not a chain restaurant. So if you want the best brisket and cornbread in Bloomington, this is where you need to go! I even liked their Western inspired mural! Made me feel like I was back in Texas! Yeee-haaw!!!

I eat there for lunch once in a while and the chopped beef sandwiches are always delicious and more than enough for one person. The sides and fries have always been good too.
