Great food and even better atmosphere! I really liked the chips and salsa as an appetizer (ask for the chipotle salsa if you like heat) and the chicken torta was very filling for just $10. All the flavor combined together made for a great lunch and the food was superb.
Best of all, the service at Social Cantina is impeccable. Staff extremely friendly. My waiter (I think his name was Juan) was very attentive and helped me choose something I would like since I'd never been here before. It was a blessing I got him because he'd already tried many things on the menu and his recommendations were spot on.
Btown needed a place like this, definitely check it out! The only thing that threw me off was the country music playing in the background. I was expecting salsa or bachata music at a Mexican Restaurant.
Nate and his crew have done an AMAZING job bringing his vision to life! There’s an incredible selection of Tequila, cocktails, and beer (I highly recommend the pineapple margarita), a wide selection of nibbles (ahi ceviche for the win!!!), and the decour/atmosphere is swanky and casual, definitely a place to check out!
Everything about Social Cantina from the decor, to the food, the amazing drinks, and the wait staff is 5 stars! Social Cantina is one of the best new spots in Btown and I can't wait to keep going back to try everything on the menu.
Social Cantina is an amazing new hotspot in BTown! Delicious drinks, (loved the pineapple margarita and white sangria) and gourmet tacos (I recommend fried avocado & hongos tacos for my veggie friends!) will be sure to win you over! Also, you must try the chips and salsa flight- but beware, the mango habanero salsa will leave you in tears! Thanks, Isaac and staff for a great evening!
Going in knowing the Social Cantina had only been open a short time and things could be a little hectic I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was excellent and even though you could tell they were working out some procedure issues I still completely enjoyed my meal and drinks. The Food was⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It wouldn’t be fair to judge the slow service because everyplace is slow on Saturday night in Bloomington. We had the ceviche (outstanding), elote (Mexican Street corn very good), and pozole (a little salty). Tacos were all delicious. This place has a good vibe and we will definitely be back.
Food, drinks, staff, it’s all great which is amazing given that they’re just getting started.

The atmosphere is great and the food is delicious. The price is cheap. The servings are a lot. I think it’s American+Mexican food. Their spicy sauce is real!!! I love the sauce a lot. I will visit again👍🏻
Really liked this place, nice vibe inside! The food was really good and filling. Had the guacamole and salsa, American taco, Baja fish, and fried avocado! Forgot to get a pic of the Baja it was really good!! Also had a blueberry basil margarita :) Looking forward to IU parents weekend to come back.
Great atmosphere for dinner and drinks with friends. The tacos are good but my favorite thing to get are the chicken enchiladas. The chicken is flavored perfectly and the rice and beans were not traditional but still tasted good. Always start with the chip and dip flight, the guacamole, queso, green salsa, and mango habanero are my four choices for dips. If beer is your thing they offer some of the Tap beers on draft.
Amazing food and cool vibe. Wasn't a fan of the corn (esquites), but the tacos were delicious!!! The ahí tuna one was my favorite, although the chicken was a close second!
I finally tried Social Cantina after being really resistant to the price. It is on the high end for me, but they do deliver on taste.
They give an excellent sized portion of guacamole, and the chips were delicious and fresh.
I got two tacos; Ahi Tuna, without the mango, and the Shrimp Verde. Of the two, I preferred the Ahi Tuna just because I thought the spice level was perfect, whereas the habanero crema on the shrimp was just a tad too spicy for my taste. If you love spicy food or the habanero flavor specifically, it's a great option.
I also tried their Paloma cocktail, and I'm not usually a grapefruit kind of person, but I loved this

Mexican food superstar of Bloomington (so I hear). They can make any dish vegetarian by substituting black beans or impossible for the protein. Nice variety of dishes.
Both the steak and carnitas tacos were good, but just good. It was a solid meal but the menu is a little limited if you are going for the sole purpose of eating. There was a larger drink menu, with any margarita you could think of.
