Stopped by for lunch, had a wonderful meal. The collard green melt is very tasty, next time I'll be trying it with the optional bacon! Fried chicken sandwich was also excellent. Service was very good and I would definitely stop in again when in the area again.
Perfect place for a mountain getaway. Our room was exactly as described, clean, well appointed. The bartender, Sammy, made great drinks and was fun to talk with. She made everyone feel welcome while also running the bar well. I highly recommend the Hellbender.

Stopped by for a quick breakfast on our way to a hike. I wish they had a gluten free biscuit, but enjoyed a tasty smoothie. Partner had a breakfast sandwich on a biscuit and is still talking about it. Loved it so much we went back the next day. Thanks!
Brussel sprouts were great; though it would have been nice if they were cut in 1/4 rather than half because the weren’t quite cooked enough. Would definitely get again though!

We stumbled on Hellbender accidentally, while trying to find parking for a place recommended to us by an employee of Moses Cone house. We loved it. Mom had a chicken sandwich that sounded fantastic; brie, bacon jam...she loved it.

We had breakfast here. I ordered a smoothie and got the BLT biscuit. Both were amazing! Staff was very friendly, and the outdoor seating was nice. It was a beautiful day. I definitely recommend dropping by here for a quick bite.
