Beer was good. Food - not so much. We ordered two different German sandwiches, one was supposed to have a red wine sauce, the other was supposed to have bacon, onion & pickles. They came out and looked identical. We questioned it, they said the order was correct. No bacon, no onion, no red wine sauce. Basically a pretzel bun, with meat and lots of gravy. Didn't taste very good.

I tried this place for the first time yesterday, and it was great! From friendly, smiling faces to the food, it was a wholesome visit. I finished every last bite! (and I've never had warm German potato salad before).
I'm going to eat there again THIS MORNING when they open at 10! Glad I work just down the street from them!

The food was great, we had the potato pancakes, potato dumplings, reuben bites, jumbo pretzel, reuben sandwich, and 4 different types of sausage...we devoured everything. So delicious, it shows the food was made with love and care. The staff was very nice and attentive. Would recomend for sure and we will definitely come back!

I came in today with a group for a fun blue ridge weekend and today was our last day in town and we just wanted a little snack before we hit the road. We looked at the menu and off the bat, we already weren’t that pleased with the options, but we decided to give it a go anyways. I ordered the Reuben bites because it sounded pretty decent and it wasn’t too much food in case I didn’t like it. So the food comes and it was just too little balls and a lot of dressing. I took my first bite and it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. I had the others try it and no one else really enjoyed it either, so I went ahead and asked the waiter if he could take it off the bill. He said he would take care of it and then just to make sure, I asked the older gentleman if he could take it off the bill and he said sure. I was still going to leave a tip since the service was really good, but unfortunately the supposed owner was the woman at the register and that’s where it got ugly. My friends went to go pay their bill and she seemed really friendly, but as we turned to walk away, she quickly shouted out how much my bill was and I told her I shouldn’t have to since I didn’t eat and told her the situation. All she did was shake her head and said that nothing was going to be taken off. I ended up paying and was extremely disappointed in her unprofessional attitude. Then my friend went in to try to get the problem sorted out politely and she accused him of being a liar and argued with him. Lady, that is not how you talk to your customers nor run a business properly and I hope the tips we gave for that server actually went in his pocket and not yours since he and the other gentlemen were the only ones that actually gave us great hospitality. You failed terribly. Do better. Seriously.

Schnitzel is very good. Atmosphere is perfect for an Alpine getaway. Henry is friendly and accommodating, and service staff is attentive.
Sherri & Larry were playing on the deck when we were there last time and they made it even more fun!
