Downtown Blue Ridge just keeps getting better. Mercier Orchards has added a restaurant downtown serving breakfast and lunch and of course a bakery next door with their famous fruit fried pies. For breakfast there is off-the-menu or a buffet is available. Since we love their French toast with cinnamon apples we have not tried anything else. The coffee is excellent and is bottomless. Attentive service. Hard cider available and flight taste testing. Open 7 am to 6 pm.

Today we were going to go to the actual orchard but since they were making us wear masks we left and went to drive around a little thru town. We drove past here and decided to stop. I'm very glad we did. From start to finish we had great service from Julie and even though we couldn't do a tasting we did try a new cider that was awesome. The building was a gorgeous old bank and the story behind it was pretty cool. We will go back and would love to visit the orchard as soon as the masks aren't mandatory.

Five star service and 3 star buffet breakfast. Bacon and chicken were great. Eggs and grits both runny. Lipton teabags were a surprise. Merciers should go with a higher quality hot tea to go with their menu. It’s super cute inside. I’d definitely eat here again - just not the buffet.

Despite some of the poor reviews, our party of 6 visited for breakfast. The staff was very accommodating and put 2 tables together for our party. The breakfast buffet was great... We actually liked it better than the main location. We feel that because this location is of less volume, they do a great job of cooking in small batches which keeps the food very hot and fresh. We were very pleased with this experience and will definitely return.

Delicious buffet, there were eggs (scrambled), hash browns, sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, chicken and waffles and a few other items. The biscuits are delicious although not the "densest" I've ever had, which was a good thing. Very good sausage links, fried chicken, gravy - everything was delicious. Nice atmosphere, there is a gift shop and cider bar...there is a vault you can eat in. Also, ask for apple butter for your biscuit. I was told that they opened this restaurant because the one at the orchard two miles north would get so busy that the wait times often exceeded 45 minutes...but the menu is the same here as it is at the orchard.
