What a nice find. We moved from the VA MD DC Area to Hilton Head in 2022 and I have not had Pho since. So many options up in Northern Virginia that are outstanding. We would get often as carryout. My go to is the Pho Ga and a Fried Egg or Spring Roll. While my wife and I were over in Bluffton for some errands, I said we have to go get Pho from Saigon Cafe. We ordered one Pho Ga and 2 fried Egg Rolls to take home and share. Saigon Cafe did NOT disappoint. The broth was on par with what I came to expect from highly rated Virginia pho places we loved. The main container held the white meat chicken, noodles, onions, basil, cilantro, jalapeños, lime wedge, sprouts and a hoisin sriracha mix. The carryout broth container kept it warm for the 20 min drive, but we still heated it back up for 2 minutes in the microwave to make sure the noodles and chicken got heated when we added the broth. We split everything into two bowls and poured the hot broth over both. We were both very impressed by the white meat chicken, pure and sliced into very nice, thin bite sizes. The Egg Roll was one of the best I have had, longer and thinner almost like Lumpia, it had me wishing I had doubled that order. The Pho portion was perfect for the two of us. A 2nd order would not have been eaten, although we are smaller portion eaters anyway. Will definitely be back. The photo is one half the portion with added chili crisp, hoisin, sriracha from our supply.
Probably my favorite restaurant in Bluffton... actually, not probably... it is my favorite. I love the Vietnamese pork chop with sunshine egg. I like the beef with lemongrass. I like the soup with pork, noodles, and dumplings. The spicy beef pho is good and you should also definitely order a Vietnamese-style coffee. Get it over ice. You're welcome. This spot here is unassuming and laid back in terms of its atmosphere. The wait staff is usually friendly and efficient. "Nam" the greeter/host has a non-stop motor and he is always doing what he can to get people greeted and seated. Oh yeah... the shrimp fried rice is really good too. The fact is that I come here quite a bit because I crave their food and I gotta get that fix, if you know what I mean. Once you try those dishes that I mentioned, then you too will be craving the food and will want to return. This place will make you happy.
Overall great experience. It’s a decent sized Vietnamese restaurant that has a very pleasant menu/ selection of food. Service is great, quick, and straightforward as it should be. Prices are average but you definitely get your money’s worth. Will be going again.
Had dinner here tonight and WOW the pho was incredible! Medium was just the right size and bowl was packed full of savory flavor! All the vegetables tasted fresh and the rest of the group couldn't stop talking about how good their meals were. Hard to find good pho and tofu like this!
Pretty good spot for Vietnamese food. Nothing to complain about for sure. We started with a couple of the spring rolls, they were very good! For entree I had pho and my wife had the chicken salad. Very flavorful and cry good. The service was great, very friendly and helpful.
Pretty good Vietnamese food at this place. We both ordered some vermicelli noodles with beef and pork, respectively. I tried both meats, and they were both decent. I didn’t care for the pork too much, and if anything, it was close to a disappointment. The primary Vietnamese meat is typically pork, so if a place doesn’t make it well, then that could ruin a dish. The beef was decent though. The portion sizes were generous, so it was filling. In terms of service, it started off really well, as we were greeted at the door and taken to a table immediately. Our waiter was attentive throughout, but then we were rushed near the end of our meal. He continually kept coming over to try to clear our dishes, even though we were clearly still eating. Yes, it was near closing time, but there were still 4 other tables still eating in the restaurant.
Great place, friendly staff, and delicious food. Modest decor with booths and tables. Ordered the Pho Tai and Spring Rolls, my guest had the shrimp salad - all very good and reasonably priced. I'd definitely go back again.
Went here strictly for the pho and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The food was delicious. I liked the service they we were kind and quick.
Pho soup is delicious (not to fatty and salty), the fried calamari is great (does not have a super fishy taste - see picture), the spicy crispy chicken dish is really good (not very spicy but does have a little kick to it - see picture). Overall the restaurant is very clean, the staff is friendly.
Having lived in several states and having my share of Pho… this is by far the best Beef Pho I’ve ever had!! Great job and we will definitely be back!!
This place is amazing I love having dinner here when I don’t want to cook. If you come here I recommend the beef pho and the soft spring roll . This place is just amazing.
My favorite Vietnamese restaurant. The food is always incredibly fresh and true to the Vietnamese culture of simple fresh foods. The cold noodle salad is the best with lots of fresh vegetables and vermicelli noodles. I never feel guilty when eating here with all of the healthy options.
OMG the best vegetarian pho I've ever had. Fairly broad menu, reasonable prices, everything freshly made. If you like Vietnamese food, then you have to come here. I've been here before and it's always wonderful.
I've had a few dishes here and they've always been good. Good not great because I've had better, more authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The service is always amazing.
The dish I ordered today was "vermicelli noodles with grilled pork". It was really good. I prefer my noodles warm or hot but I was pleasantly surprised by the cool noodles. The grilled pork was well done as well. The sweet fish sauce is my favorite part because it is a well done essential to this bowl and ties everything together well.
I only gave 4 stars because of the high prices. I'd give 4.5 stars. The restaurant is located on an island but I don't think prices necessarily have to be that high (mostly $11-$14).
Excellent quality of food, satisfying portions and very prompt, courteous service. Vegetarian friendly (even the pho!) - definitely will be returning !!!
Ordered takeout from here and I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of food & the service. The restaurant staff were so kind & their food (we had pho & egg rolls) were phenomenal. More than fair prices and portion sizes. We will definitely be ordering again!
We go here at least two times a month. Thomas and his dad are amazing. Best Vietnamese restaurant around. Crispy noodles is my all time favorite along with rocket shrimp!
We really love the vegetarian pho and hope to try more on the menu! Thank you for the vegan/vegetarian options. Hoping to see a veggie bahn mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) on the menu one day!
