Great food and service! Braved the heat on the patio, so we could eat right away. Otherwise was a half an hour. The "He-Crab" bisque was creamy and delicious with just a hint of spice! We share the grilled pick-3 seafood platter, which consisted of shrimp, scallops and fish. They said the fish was Cod. Solid and delicious like Cobia!

Neat facility, inside or outside, screened in area Friendly, efficient servers. Delicious food. The Hush Puppies as an appetizer were more than enough, best we ever tasted! Fantastic dining experience.

Walked in at height of dinner hour. Told wait would possibly be as long as 45 minutes but we could make ourselves comfortable at one of the bars. We chose upstairs to be surprised by live music and sat at an open table to order drinks. Looked over a limited menu for upstairs and 4 of us ordered appetizers and mains. Drinks, Food, Atmosphere where all Great. Service good for only 2 Bartenders who also served a dozen or more tables! Thanks for a wonderful evening out, we will be returning often.

Arrived and was told we had a 45 minute wait, understandable it was so packed. We waited maybe 15 minutes, was seated and put our order in. Our waitress was awesome, waited maybe 10 minutes for our food and it was delicious! I had the shrimp pasta & my husband had the surf and terf. We will definitely be back.

Crab bisque hot & spicy. Pick3 grilled fish very tasty. Interesting restaurant. Entertainment upstairs. Quiet downstairs.

A good old fried seafood lunch. Scallops were very good as was flounder. Friendly laid back service. Four stars for these reasons: the hush puppies were sweet, not savory as is preferred. The fries were battered and not natural potatoes. They were out of the beer we wanted. Otherwise was good.

If you're looking for a restaurant that checks the boxes, this does it. Friendly and hard working wait staff ✅ Tasty food ✅ Large portions ✅ Priced Right ✅ We will be moving here soon and look forward to visiting Captain Woody's on a regular basis. We dined on the screened in patio. We had plenty of room even though it was busy. I got the trigger fish rueben, my wife had the fish n' chips, and my children had the shrimp kids meal and fish strip kids meal. Looking forward to coming back!

Great food. Good service. Delicious fried shrimp. The "He" Crab Soup is the best. Don't forget the grouper. It's so yummy, too.

First time visiting - stopped on our way to Hilton Head. WoW! The food is Amazing ... huge portions ... and great casual atmosphere. 100% would recommend eating here. Basket combos around $15 - Huge Platters start at $20 and the pick 3 was $27 and could easily feed 2 people

Captain Woody's is one of our favorite places for good food in Bluffton. This is a great place to take the whole family and there seems to be something for all. Service has always been good when we have been there and the food is great! The Steak salad is one of the best I have ever had. They often have live music upstairs in the roof top area or a great screened in porch to eat outside without the bugs! We have been here many times and never been disappointed. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back again. They have two locations (one in Bluffton and one in Hilton Head), food is about the same at either location however we prefer the Bluffton location.

First time here recommended by a freind who lives in the area, it was great place to eat, our watress was excellent, the food was awesome and great chill atomisphere to watch sports and enjoy good food. I will definitely return when back in the area. I had the pick2 platter fried clams and oysters with Cole slaw, fries and really good hush puppies. My wife had some garlic shrimp pasta.

Took a short road-trip to historic downtown Bluffton. We had lunch at Captain Woody’s Bar and Grill. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outdoors and ordered the Crab Bisque (creamy and delicious), the Shrimp Tacos (loaded with shrimp and tasty) and the Low Country Boil (very good and plenty for leftovers). For dessert we had the banana bread (excellent). Service was impeccable! For more food adventure visit our Instagram tastesofsavannah.

All of our food, fried flounder, garlic shrimp and she crab soup were wonderful. Marianna was a sweet server, just the right amount of attention. Well worth the visit.

We live on the Island and usually go to Hudson’s if we want seafood. We decided to go to Captain Woody’s in Bluffton instead so we wouldn’t have to wait up to 2 hours. A nice atmosphere, great Clam chowder and good tasting coconut shrimp. My husband, a non seafood eater had a chicken sandwich and had no complaints either.
