We came on Tuesday, we have already been here on other occasions. They always serve us well and the food is very good. Correct quality and price, also the plates are super full. The atmosphere is good during the middle of the day, at happy hour there is more noise. Some afternoon there is live music. The terrace and the outside bar are fantastic, although if you prefer, you can eat inside, where they have a huge lounge. Keep in mind that it fills up quickly, so to enjoy it, come a little early . 100% recommended.
We loved the Ale House. The only issue we had seemed to be with a little a longer wait that it appeared we should have. It didn't seem overly busy but we did have a little delay with placing and getting out order. That is the ONLY complaint we have. The food was excellent, the price was good and the staff were very friendly. We will DEFINITELY return. We're chalking it up to an isolated event.
Seriously a amazing place to stop and eat. Not only was our server Rebecca fantastic, but the food came out so fast and was beyond delicious. Definitely stop by here for amazing food and service. Maybe you'll even get to see Tiki, the alligator in the pond next to the patio. Also heated patio area so you can enjoy year round.
Food is all good. The fish is always very good, thay have a seafood pop pie witch is great one of my favorite. Burgers are great the fish and chips very good. My wife and I go at least 3 to 5 times a month. Okatie Ale House keeping keep up the good work Everyone loves your place.
Went with family to eat here last night. Hostesses and server were friendly and very pleasant. Ordered the rigatoni with chicken and it was absolutely amazing. Decent sized portion, well seasoned and flavored, and was perfect. Will definitely eat here again when I'm back in the area.
When we travel over to Blufton or Hilton Head we love to stop in at the Okatie Ale House. There food is always great and there service is outstanding. The Atmosphere is great whether you dine in or eat on the patio.Highly recommend.

We rolled in for a night on the way to the beach at the hotel just next door. We heard music as we walked around and there was a live band playing on the stage in the back. I am not from around here but there were a ton of little golf carts parked in the parking lot and there was a big swampy pond off to the side of it (someone told us there were alligators in it).
We put our names in and waited around 15 minutes for a table for 9. Everyone was very nice (hostesses, servers, etc.).
We sat down and ordered. I got the seafood pot pie. It was filled with deliciousness! I love seafood and it was amazing. My husband got the blackened grouper wrap and he loved the jalapeño cilantro sauce. The server brought him some extra since he liked it so much he had poured the entire little container on a half of it. We have 2 kids (4&6) and got a cheese pizza kids meal and a side of macaroni and they loved their meals as well.
The fries were nice and crispy with good flavor. The macaroni was yummy and cheesy.
Overall, this was a great place to stop and have dinner. Perfect if you're staying at the hotel across the parking lot so you can just walk over.
We would definitely come again if we are coming through the area. I recommend the seafood pot pie if you like seafood!
Our food was delicious. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was our appetizer order never materialized. It got "lost" in the kitchen. Our server was very apologetic and it was incredibly busy. She was handling a lot of tables and did a great job

It was my first time visiting the Okatie Ale House take out. Absolutely the best fish & chips in the USA. Every bite tasted delicious. The chips were super crunchy on the outside with that soft potato center.
The service was fast and friendly. The large patio area that overlooks a small lake was great. Okatie Ale House is directly across from Hampton Inn & Suites and is not far from Starbucks, Wells Fargo Bank, and
Walgreens Pharmacy. Keep up the good work. Please try this restaurant.

The service was excellent, the food was excellent, the atmosphere was fun and vibrant, albeit a little loud. For 4 dining for lunch, our bill was $52...not too bad! I'd definitely return!

Been here many times and never had a bad meal! Last time I was there the service was the best its ever been. We've sat inside and outside. Both are nice. They have live music depending the night. There's an ice cream parlor right next to them as well for those who would enjoy after their meal. I got the Meatloaf Melt Sandwich and it was phenomenal! My wife had the Crab Chowder and she enjoyed it as well. Will continue going to this establishment and highly recommend it to others.

We had read about this place several times in the last few visits to HHI. A couple of negative reviews had put us off trying the restaurant. We met our realtor there and decided to give it a try. It has become our new favorite! The menu is just about as varied as you can get! Everything either my husband or I have tried has been excellent! The portions are generous, and this is the least expensive place we have found with this quality of food! They serve wines and beers also. There is an outside tiki bar with seating to eat. This area keeps pretty full so be prepared for a short wait. Wherever you choose to sit there are tvs to watch various sports channels. The restaurant has a noisy, fun, relaxed family atmosphere, so don't come here for a quiet, romantic dinner for two! 😉 We can recommend the onion rings, the half sandwich and soup, (you have to try the crab, corn chowder), the shrimp and chips - the batter is light and crispy, the shrimp large and plentiful! I am told the Reubens and pastrami sandwiches are really good along with the fish tacos. We took our grandchildren when they were with us one trip. They can be a bit fussy sometimes, but they cleared their plates without any bother! The service there is quick and the staff are always very efficient, polite, and friendly.
