We had the best dinner here last week! Top notch service from Teddy (and team) and amazing food. We love good food and nice restaurants but sometimes at higher-end restaurants, there can be a “stuffy” atmosphere, and at the River House, we didn’t get that vibe at all which was so nice! If the Wagyu oysters are still on special when you go, they were INCREDIBLE and we aren’t even oyster fans usually. Other favorites were the strawberry burrata salad (wow), the New Zealand venison and the side of mushrooms. The warm chocolate cake at the end was also amazing! This is a great spot for a celebratory dinner or just a fun date night! The views are beautiful as well!

In contention for the best culinary experience of my life! The house reserve dark rye made an amazing old-fashioned. Each course began with an inclusive house appetizer, palet cleanser, and mini-desert. You are served by pairs and they have a sommelier on staff, all of whom offered exceptional service 👏 The beef tartar was exquisitely seasoned. The venison cooked so well that it ate like filet mignon. The A5 Waygu was gently handled and sauced perfectly. It's hard to explain just how good the meal and experience overall truly was... the highest of compliments to the entire team at River House, this is a gem 💎 of a restaurant!

Fabulous!!! Our server, Benny, was amazing! We ordered everything he suggested and it was hands down the best meal we've ever had - yellowfin tuna duo and crab cake appetizers, wedge salad, venison tenderloin and the pork tomahawk. The manager and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Can't wait to return!

Chef Dan and the Staff at the River House provided us a First Class experience this evening. Everyone is over the top professional. From Brittany who took my reservation, to Noel and the entire wait staff and PJ the Sommelier…really terrific. The absolute highlight, however was Chef Dan. We have watched him grow for years on the Bluff. Now, he is a master chef. Everything was so thoughtful, perfectly prepared, presented amazingly well, and most importantly tasted like a Michelin Star Restaurant. Our profound thanks to all concerned who made our evening so very special. Some details: We had excellent cocktails. So professionally prepared. Oysters with A5 Japanese Wagu. Delicious. The best mussels we have ever had. They had small pieced of pancetta included with a heavenly broth. The 2 ounce A5 Japanese Wagu steak served in a scrumptious soy combination was brilliant. The 18 once dry aged bone-in ribeye was cooked at exactly the right temperature. The accompanying bearnaise sauce was perfectly prepared. Our sides of mushrooms, lobster Mac & cheese, and Palmetto Bluff grown carrots were so good. We are so lucky to have Chef Dan and his Team on Palmetto Bluff. We are so grateful for such a remarkable experience. Thank you!

River House is the premier restaurant in the Savannah/bluffton/hhi area. Set in an amazing setting of Palmetto Bluff on the May River - the location has a WOW factor when you enter. We had tremendous birthday celebration service from the entry host, server Noel, manager Damian, and bartender Larissa! We’ve been looking for the premium city style experience in this area and we found it. The oysters, steaks, scallops and touches from the chef were all amazing and with the service felt like a true dining experience. They also have a super fun speakeasy style bar downstairs on weekends with live music. Thanks to all!

Following a fairly disastrous travel day and missing our first scheduled reservation, Damien did a great job of squeezing us in on another night… Just a great experience from start to finish. We started with Michael at the bar until our table was ready… Great cocktails with a twist and one with a smoke addition. It was fun watching him work. A great shout out to Clyde our server! The full menu and our orders we’re all committed to memory and he just added to the experience…Had the waygu and halibut. Great job! We stayed too late to take advantage of the Smore‘s out on the patio… But we will be back!!

They have the BEST stuffed olives for those who drink martinis! They're not blue cheese stuffed....blended with caviar and goat cheese (???)...not certain about what cheese they use.
