The atmosphere at this Hook and Reel is so nice and you get greeted by Jack Sparrow! The dining area is very clean and has a cool ocean decor. You can tell the owner put a lot of love into this restaurant. Our hungry group didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive. The seafood was cooked just right. We had the hook and reel and lemon pepper sauce. I LOVED it. It was not too light or salty, it was just right.
5 star everything! I normally don’t do reviews but I had to for this restaurant. From the time you walk in to when you walk out the service is absolutely amazing! Our waitress was just out of this world - phenomenal! We needed multiple accommodations due to our toddler and she just made the entire experience seamless! The food is amazing! The atmosphere is super cozy and relaxing! I loved it so much I signed up for the rewards program!! Love it - will be back!!!!!!
Food was great. Fries really good. Service wonderful. Pretty cool decor on the inside. Bathrooms are pretty much like most. Can never be too clean. Love that we can draw on the table paper. That was fun with the kids. Bring pens for adults because we can have fun as well!! Our server even ran outside in the cold to bring us a phone that one of left behind. We will go back again. Prices are fair.

We were greeted almost immediately by a friendly and welcoming host and we’re seated right away.
Our server was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu. He gave us a breakdown of what they had to offer which was nice since we had never been there.
I was impressed that they were using local oysters for their steamed and raw oysters. My raw oysters were shucked perfectly with no little bits of shell in them. My son’s steamed oysters were not as clean.
My husband loved the custom order he made with just the basic butter and garlic sauce. There was enough food for him to eat, share with our son, and take leftovers home. Honestly, the shrimp was even better the next day after sitting in that seasoning overnight.
This place is well decorated and fun. But plan to spend some money because food costs are so high, especially for seafood.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our first experience at Hook & Reel! The decor was beautiful. We were seated promptly and the food was delicious! I had to get used to eating with my hands but my son thought it was super fun!!! Will definitely come back again!
Loved this place. We went here for Valentine's Day. We were greeted at the door and they sat us down right away. We did call for reservations first. Once seated the waitress Stephanie came to our table and made sure were taken care of with our drinks and appetizers. It wasn't much of a wait to receive our items. My husband got the crab fries and I got the calamari. It was good size appetizer and it was delicious. We both ordered the combination of 2 sea food platters. I got the Dungeness crab legs, shrimp with sausage which was extra and my husband got the snow crab legs with scallops with sausage. Each one also came with corn and red potatoes. They give you crab crackers, bib, wet napkins, salt, pepper, melted butter, and cocktail and tarter sauce. When we finished Stephanie put our leftovers in a bag for us. We really enjoyed this place and I'm sure we will be returning. I recommend this place to anyone who likes seafood.
I had a lovely experience eating dinner at this restaurant. The portions were awesome. I could not eat it all and had leftovers. 😋 My server Jo was fantastic and very attentive. I appreciated that. She walked me through the menu and gave suggestions that I chose. The food was very flavorful as well. Seasoning was great. I would eat here again.
Seafood here is always fresh and seasoned well- I love the spicy original cajun seasoning so much! Nice and buttery and not too spicy. I always order snow crab and clams. Always taste great, perfect portion, order comes with perfectly cooked potatoes and sweet corn. Fair price and great service too. Can't wait to go back.
Hook and Reel! What a great place. I had the lemon pepper spicy crab legs! They are fantastic and what a great combo! A little messy but that is ok. Peel and eat shrimp are excellent too, glad I got to have some. Look forward to coming back and having crab legs again. Great for family’s and or a quick meal for two. 100% recommend.
This place deserves more then 5 stars! We don't go out....... Much as a single mom, we can't afford it very offen. The prices here were affordable. The service was perfect and atmosphere was fun and inviting. All my family and friends that come to visit will definitely be eating here! My nine year old daughter wanted crawfish to try for the first time, and she absolutely loved them!!!! My 9 year old also got to try raw oysters For the first time, it was great!!! Lol

Had the best crab legs at Hook and Reel and I loved it so much. The server knew his work and was very helpful.
I did the crab legs with calamari with Garlic butter fire sauce with side potato and corn. It was just perfect.
I never had crab legs as good as this before.
High recommend you to try them.
My mom had same and she loved the Oriental Green Tea.
The place is very clean and everything seems well organized.
Doesn’t take long to get your food.
You can do takeout!
Amazing food and everything was hot and fresh. Shared a diner with a friend. Waitress was awesome and we received drinks and refills very timely. I had a top shelf Margarita 🍹 and it was perfect! Highly recommended and work the price.
We were there as a group. The service was great. However, the food did not come out together as it should. Also, my corn on the cob was Cold and I sent it back. An order was wrong as well, and she had to wait as most of us were finished eating.
Our server was AWESOME, wish I could remember her name, young with blonde or light brown hair, she was so outgoing and we never wanted for anything. The garlic bread sticks were delicious, catfish was good and the fries were great.
Great food,great atmosphere,very good service and with a smile. If I could give a 6th star I would. Will definitely go back the next time we are in Hilton head from Chattanooga
Great service, greeted by 2 young ladies and seated right away. Server met us quickly. Drinks and food came relatively quick and it was really good.
