I was recommend a Bacon cheese burger with jalapenos, you get to choose your own bread I chose jalapeño bun, choose your type of cheese I chose cheddar. Burger is nice and big, Delicious seasoned just right! I recommend it friendly service try their root beer floats their good!

Its a Burger Joint, for goodness sake!. Holy French Fries! Got some char-broiled flame wars going on here. Maybe some local competitors slinging the insults around a little? Not sure.
But I am sure of this - I've eaten exactly 3 meals here, and all three times, I've had a good meal, in a cool place, with a very friendly staff. The burgers are a little denser because its fresh Angus, and has very little fat content. I really feel they need to cut it with a little ground round to up that, and they'll come out juicier and not as dense, but you cant improve on the flavor of good Angus. And its healthier. Sonic only wishes it could put out a burger this good. As for cooking your burger, a restaurant is ALWAYS going to cook it medium to well done (minimum 160F), for sanitary health reasons, UNLESS you specifically "ask" for it to be rarer. That goes for every burger place on earth. (How often does Whataburger come out rare? If it does, you're sending it back, aren't you?)
Look, expecting to go here and have a gourmet meal just isn't realistic. Its a corner burger joint, and a good one at that. Not some high dollar steak house. If you expect more than that and come away with a bad taste in your mouth, its probably more to do with your attitude than theirs.
We enjoyed!. We stopped here for a quick lunch. I had a BLT and my boyfriend, the turkey burger. We shared a regular order of sweet potato fries. Everything was very good and the girl at the register were you order was very nice. I would go here again. The location is awesome and the ambiance is cool! Small menu is really meant for lunch.
Fun Novelty place. True that this place is very touristy but still fun to take people to. The staff is very friendly and I love the jalepeno buns for the burgers. It's just a burger place - but a fun one at that. Better than Wendy's. Cute place that I will always go to once and awhile especially when we have guests in from out of town. My kids love this place.

I thought the food was wonderful when I ate here. It may be a bit pricy, but so is everything else in this town. If you walk up and down mainstreet of course you're gonna pay a little above average minus the cornerstores.
so my overall rating is a 7.5-8 out of 10 for this area.
I hope the people who wrote the previous negative reviews would take into consideration that this is a place to judge food, not people.

The Saturday Night Dive. My family and I have driven by Soda Pops during their Hot Rod Saturday Nights on many occasions, and made it a point to stop in for a visit on their last Hot Rod night of the year. We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, vegetarian burger, sweet potato fries, and fried pickle spears.
The food was good, the atmosphere (including live band) was lively, and the weather made for a great evening out on their patio.
Great little burger joint. We moved to Boerne recently, and Soda Pops has become our go-to on Sat. night. Sat. Night is Hot Rod night & they close down the street and have free live music & awesome custom cars. Combine this with the fantastic staff and delicious burgers, shakes, fries, fried 'shrooms etc. and you have the perfect casual dining spot.
So order a burger (jalapeno cheddar buns are so good), fries and a bucket o' beer and meet us on the patio. And if you haven't tried the sweet potato fries with caramel dipping sauce...well get on it; YUM!

We stopped in over spring break. We loved it! The burgers were excellent and the atmosphere was awesome. The staff/owners were friendly and the whole vibe was good. We will definitely return there on our next trip!
Yum!. Great location, great service, great food! Took the fam there Sunday for lunch, we had two excellent hamburgers, cooked and served as ordered, (my daughter is picky!), and a chicken sandwich, which was perfectly juicy and seasoned. The sweet potato fries are always a hit, as are the fried pickles. I'm not a huge pickle fan, but their fried spears are YUMMY!
Service was great, concept is self serve, but the employees still came to each table and checked on diners.
The patio is comfortable, great place to sit back and enjoy your food, and watch the activity on main street and the plaza.
Seeing as how they only opened recently, I think they are doing a great job!

This place gets my like simply due t o location and atmospher. Service is friendly but burgers lack alittle something...might be as simple as salt.
I had an awesome burger at Soda Pops today. The onion rings are great! The staff and owners are very friendly and make you feel at home. The heated Patio is very nice. Boerne has a cool & fun place to hang out; thanks Soda Pops!
Best Burger in town!. I just had the most amazing burger in Boerne!!! My cheese burger was dressed with all the fixings including green chilies and customized with a wheat bun. The burger was so JUICY and flavorful!!! I will definitely be going back for those fried pickles and a cold beer. My new favorite hot spot!
Love this family friendly hangout. I read some of the previous reviews about one of my new favorite hangs and am strikingly dissappointed. This cute little retro burger joint makes my mouth water every time I pull into a parking space outside this place. I have had almost everything on the menu and have yet to have a single complaint. I personally love the angus beef burgers and the ribeye sandwich. I'm not a vegetartian by any means but I do like veggie burgers and this particular veggie burger is the best I've ever had, hands down. No one could go wrong with anything they order here. The onion rings and fried pickles are just about to die for :) I literally have to tell myself I can't eat there again this week... I'm sure the staff could recite my most frequented orders by heart.
Shame on people that have to go around writing bad reviews about places and try to ruin it for everyone. This place is great any way you look at it.

Another view. I'm not in the habit of reviewing, but I feel like the other 2 reviews warrant me doing so. I actually love their 100% angus beef burgers (that are definitely not frozen). You can tell the owners took great care to put the greenest lettuce, red tomatoes, and the burger fits great on the bun! Dense burgers? I've never heard that and I can't think of how that term applies to burgers. I think they're nice and thick, if that's what the reviewer meant. Maybe they like thin, sparse burgers? The buns are delicious and bakery fresh! My favorite is the jalapeno. I particularly like that you can choose your bun and cheese (many places only have white buns and american cheese, of which I'm not a big fan of either).
Again, I normally don't write reviews, but I'm not happy when "reviewers" go out to places and have nothing more to do than to run home and write poor reviews. I see by their other reviews, they are mostly unhappy when out.
To end on a good note, don't forget their awesome beer battered onion rings and sweet potato fries! They've also gotten a beer and wine license, which makes me happy to hang out there in the evenings.
My New Hangout. Soda Pop's is very quickly becoming my new hangout. I frequent Pop's about 2-3 times a week. I have tried just about everything on their menu, and my favorites would have to be the Cheeseburger and Ribeye, but make sure you get 'em with the sweet potato fries. They're not outrageously priced either. The great thing about Soda Pop's is its not just great food. The small but quaint dine in seating area is decorated wonderfully. When I go with a few more people we sit on the outside patio, which has space heaters. It's nice that even though it's cold outside we were still able to enjoy ourselves and stay warm. Love Soda Pop's and will be continuing to take my family and friends as much as I can.
Great!. This patio hang is just what Boerne has needed! I have been several times and have enjoyed the burger, ribeye sandwich, fried pickles and sweet potato fries. The toasted bakery buns are excellent and the veggies on top are fresh.
My friends and I met after work last week and enjoyed a bucket of beer on the patio. So fun!
Lovely place with good atmosphere and great food. My wife and I come here once a month and we always love it. You can get the burgers how ever you want them and lots of toppings to choose from. The onion rings, fries and tots are all good. We always get 1 side and share since they are so big.
Oh my gosh. What a wonderful and nostalgic place. Brought me back to my youth. Great food, great value and amazing staff. Where else can you get .05 cent coffee every day? We ate at Soda Pops and had a sweet treat from the Sugar Shack. Loved both places. We will definitely be back. You guys are sooo doing it right.
Excellent burgers and sweet potato fries. The staff could not have been friendlier and efficient. The outdoor patio is a great place to take in the Hill Country Mile.
Beautiful atmosphere, inside is small. It wasn't any seating left. We just sat outside on the patio. They were playing a movie. It was awesome! Food was good, however, fries were too soft for me. The Guy at the register and the guy cooking were really nice and accommodating. It was nice and a good experience. I'd definitely return
Great little shop on Main for good burgers. They have French fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings—we got all three because you just can’t live with a decision that limits your crunchy dippers. We brought a party of eight and found great seats outside to accommodate busy little bodies and noise.
We came to San Antonio for anniversary but stayed in This small town. We drove by and happened to see they had a car show... We absolutely loved it
Lovely little 50s style soda counter! Outdoor covered seating with fans and classic jams, Soda Pops has a great atmosphere. You can also snag a seat indoors in the AC at the soda counter if you want, of course.
The burgers were quite delicious, as was the chicken sandwich. The hot dog was a hot dog but it was fresh made and not overtly gross - that's all you can ask for from a hot dog. I loved the regular fries and my husband says the sweet potato fries are great too.
They have this special sauce on the counter that I couldn't even begin to describe. It's kind of.. tangy but sweet? Definitely a pickle relish flavor in there. Anyway, it's delicious and you should at least try it.
