First time here. This place is on it! Sat down and within 60 seconds I had some hot tortilla chips, salsa and a drink in front of me. Few minutes later I placed my order and within five minutes I had a hot plate of enchiladas to eat. Friendly and efficient and great prices. I’ve been passing this place for three years. Finally stopped in. I will be back
We decided to try a restaurant we had never Been to and we wanted Mexican. We decided on El Gallo Giro on Gary lane in Garden City. We received a nice greeting from a very shy girl . We were able to choose our table. The menu is pretty big so we needed time to choose. So we ordered drinks.I got a classic Margarita. It was very generous on the alcohol content and one of the best I have had in the area. I ordered a taco salad. I asked for Shrimp instead of beef or chicken. The waitress brought our food and it was decorative and delicious. They did charge an additional $2.00 for the shrimp but they were large and delicious and the taco shell was real. I recommend you give it a try. Service was great and it is reasonably priced.
Great street tacos! I always dread going to family style Mexican restaurants, you usually pay more for a basic boring taco with a plate full of filler. But, this place has delicious and well priced tacos. About $2 a piece with many meats. Chorizo looked so good I ate one before I got my phone out for the pic. Cabeza and carnitas were hood, chorizo was great- but the Al Pastor were so good I had to but 3 more. Amazing Al Pastor tacos. Tortillas and salsa verde were both great. Nothing lacking.
The service is very friendly and very good. The food is very good and the margaritas are even better. The restaurant is colorful and nicely decorated. The tables and booths are well spaced and comfortable. They always do a great job and we always look forward to returning.
Food, superb and authentic. Prices, excellent. Service, superior. I would have given this a 5 star if their catering van was not parked in the handicap spot forcing me to navigate an uncomfortable distance to the door. Very tacky to see the owner parked illegally. I mentioned it to them and will try this place again when that van is moved.
I love the atmosphere!! So fun and vibrant! And any place with horchata is good in my book. I was not as happy with the fish tacos as I had hoped, but they hit the spot anyway. Hubby loved his relleno.
SO DANG GOOD! The street tacos are such a good price for the quality! I loved the fish taco. The raspberry margarita was delicious and the chips and salsa was fresh. I am SO glad we stopped here! I will definitely be back the next time I visit. I just wish they had black beans! :)
