Incredible food, really unique combination of Chinese, Japanese, and Peruvian food. The interior decoration of the restaurant is super interesting to look at, with columns decorated with dragons and a lot of intricate details. Many tables for 2 are high tables, while the larger tables are low, but those go quickly in the reservations so be sure to reserve early! Our server was fantastic, always giving great recommendations without being too overbearing. He was super quick to answer questions and bring out anything we needed. Service overall was excellent. The food of course was incredible, a really diverse set of options across cold dishes, wok dishes, sushi, and more. Everything was really flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend this place, worth every penny!

We had an amazing dining experience at RUKA in Boston and I can't praise it enough! The sushi was out of this world, and the cocktails were both incredibly creative and delicious. When it comes to choosing your dishes, I highly recommend asking the staff for recommendations – they truly know their stuff. Everything about our visit was perfect, from the food to the service. The staff, especially behind the bar, were incredibly friendly and accommodating. If you're in Boston and in the mood for exceptional sushi and creative cocktails, RUKA is the place to be. I can't wait to return!

Tapas style restaurant, that me and my partner really enjoyed. I highly recommend making a reservation. It is very busy, it seems like. I enjoyed the sushi very much, well actually all the plates we got. To top it off, the dessert as well was amazing, very flavorful. This is definitely a place. I'll be back to try more things. Parking is also very close by with many parking garages around the area.

We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The vibe was fun and interesting with unique atmosphere. We were offered drinks right away and water poured was ice cold (never saw the bottom of my glass and I drink a lot!) We got the Nasu Dragon and Hawaiian Crunch which were both amazing. So fresh and flavorful! We also got the Japanese fried chicken and chicken fried rice. So pleased with both choices. The chicken was crispy and the sauce (very similar to yum yum sauce when you go to hibachi) was addicting. The dish paired well with rice. The wings that came with the rice were cooked perfectly with a sweet and salty marinade. We shared a pot of green tea as well. Waiter was exceptional. Not one negative comment to share -definitely try for something fun and different. Tied for best sushi place I’ve ever visited.

In downtown Boston. Made a reservation for dinner. No issues at seating. The front staff were friendly and welcoming. Inside it’s beautiful. Dimly lit for dinner. Nice ambiance and music. The tables were clean. Server promptly arrived. Service was always good. The water always filled. Friendly and informative. There is a wide selection of food available. Peruvian Japanese. Overall everything tasted good. Yucca puffs were a bit underwhelming. Shrooms were good and The ribs stood out the most. Four pieces I believe. Smaller portions than I imagined. The desert is a nice photo. The drinks were quite good I would come back just for drinks next time.

Just came here for dinner and it was excellent!! I loved all of the food and it was great tapas-style to share with my family. We tried a whole bunch of dishes and our waitress was super helpful with suggestions and how much food to order. For drinks, I really enjoyed my pisco sour. I love pretty much any drink with an egg yolk in it. For makimono, our favorite was the crispy rock shrimp. The shrimp was perfect and the pineapple flavor was really refreshing in the sushi. We also tried the ruka rainbow which we enjoyed, but it wasn’t anything super special so that wouldn’t be my top recommendation. For other courses, we LOVED the pork ribs and the chicken fried rice was also excellent. The pork had a ton of flavor, especially with the marinade, and it was cooked perfectly. The cheese sticks were also super tasty. The only other thing I wouldn’t recommend are the pork buns. It was just fine. We didn’t try dessert, but maybe next time! I’ll definitely be coming back to this place. I’d also like to add that the server was accommodating towards my avocado allergy—all of the sushi we got came without it which I greatly appreciated. Lastly, the atmosphere and decorations in the restaurant were super neat. Definitely fun vibes.

Our visit to RUKA got off to an unpleasant start. We arrived a few minutes before both our 5PM reservation and the opening of the restaurant. We stayed at the Godfrey Hotel and entered in the side entrance connected to the lobby. Our party was not acknowledged by any of the 4 individuals at the host stand. It was very off putting, additionally, their demeanor was as if they were irritated by our punctuality. The lack of warmth in their greetings and attitude made our dining experience less enjoyable. After being seated, we were delighted with a bubbly and knowledgeable server. She was helpful explaining the menu, restaurant concept, and asked about dietary preferences and food allergies. We ordered our food all at once and it was gradually brought out a dish at a time. All the plates are tapas style and shareable. The sushi is next level, some of the best I’ve had. The quality in the sashimi grade fish and additional ingredients is apparent upon tasting. Our party of four ordered the Hawaiian Crunch, King Tupac, Yuzu Lobster, Spicy Tuna, Yoshoku Cheese Sticks, Yakitori Bar shrooms, Tako Meshi and Mongolian Beef. The food presentation is stunning and flavor profiles are pronounced in every dish. The cheese sticks are MUST order! The ambiance and decor is very swanky and appealing. Overall, our visit to Ruka was delightful absent the hostess interaction. Highly recommend and would visit again!

One of the best Chinese-Peruvian restaurants in Boston! Vegetarian friendly. The food is absolutely delicious and hits all the right flavors, drinks are strong too. We had the Nasu Dragon, Yuzu Lobster, Ruka rainbow, Vegetable fried rice, Sichuan Zoodles and ended with the buttered Taiyaki waffle ice cream which is a perfect dessert with beautifully balanced flavors. Ruka has a very friendly and colorful ambience. As a vegetarian I would say this is hands down the best place for sushi. I went with a couple of friends and can’t wait to go again!

The sushi rolls here were next level. I came here for a weeknight celebration dinner with my friends, and everything we ordered was beautiful to look at and delicious. All of the sushi rolls tasted fresh and nuanced in flavors. The fried tempura cheese sticks changed my life *sheds tear*. If you're not lactose intolerant, I highly recommend trying these. Their cocktails were solid - strong, with well-crafted flavor combinations. So we ordered two rounds. :) We were genuinely delighted when the waitress brought our sake shots on a decorated tray with dry ice. 10/10 for presentation and table service from the staff. For dessert we ordered a bowl of the cachangas with a side of guava ice cream (pictured). This was a simple dish with unexpected flavors - both satisfying a d refreshing, and great for sharing in a group. I can't wait to return here again for the food and the atmosphere.

Had an amazing experience at Ruka during my visit to Boston! Amazing food, attentive service, and the atmosphere was very lively. We ordered the hamachi ceviche, Lima style fried calamari, pork yakisoba, and the sticky ribs. For dessert, we had the cachangas which our server recommended. The presentations on all of these dishes were top-notch. My favorite dish was the Lima style calamari because it was very different than any other fried calamari that I’ve ever tried. The calamari had the right amount of citrus, it was so flavorful and crispy. My second favorite dish was the pork yakisoba because it felt more like a traditional asian dish except the sauces enhanced the taste so much more. The hamachi ceviche is closer to other ceviche dishes that I had with the nostalgic bursts of flavor as you bite into it but Ruka makes it special with their difference in flavor. My least favorite was the ribs because it was a bit dry for my liking. I’m not a rib person but I felt like the dish was just like any other rib with the pat chun sticky sauce on it. Service was very attentive and all of the servers was very knowledgeable about the menu! We were checked up upon just the right amount of times and all the server, bussers and bartenders were quick with the service. I love the atmosphere. There was a lively atmosphere as we sat by the bar and the music quality was very good. The lighting set the mood as it was more on the darker side: good for dinner setting.
