Fantastic, low key seafood for locals. Incredible lobster bisque FULL of giant chunks of lobster meat. Amazing seafood platter and fish sandwich too. Very casual, order at counter and brought to your table. Also very small inside, maybe capacity for 40. But seriously delicious seafood - highly recommend! Yum.
It was definitely worth the wait. There was a line at 2:30pm but once you sat down and dug into the twin lobsters, the lobster chowder, clam chowder and crobster roll you would have waited as long as needed. The lobsters were fresh, both chowders well seasoned. The clam was creamy while the lobster was more soupy. The crobster roll (50% crab, 50% lobster) had the right amount of mayo with a buttery roll that brought it all together. Definitely a must when we come back to Boston.
Some of the best seafood in the city of Boston! My husband and I always stop in when we are in town! Living out in LA, there aren’t many options for fresh seafood. We also highly recommend Yankee Lobster to family and friends who are visiting the city! They always leave satisfied! Our favorite, the cold lobster rolls with a nice, cold Harpoon beer on tap!
tonight Came in late there was a line an hr before thah vlose and the service was still topnotch a young man came outside handed us some menus so we could see what was on it before we got inside to sit down he keep checking up and lutting every one in line know how long it would be nonlonger than 3 min went by before he came outside and checked up on every one to see how we was doing and if we could use anything before we sat down food was great had the 2 pound lobster and fried scallops and a caesar salded food was great perfecly cooked . oredered our dinner withen 15 min its out on the table . loved this place
The food was amazing, tasted so fresh. Not only was the food 5 stars but the service was as well. To be such a small place, our wait wasn’t long. Our drinks needed refilling and the server at the door had her hands full but she took them up to get refilled when technically it is a walk up style ordering. Just above and beyond great customer service. And did I mention the food was so very delicious?
The seafood worth the wait. We walked past all the other restaurants claiming good food. Short line, plenty of meat in the combo selection. Food was priced Right. Everyone else was absolutely too high. I appreciate the fresh taste. Will definitely be there again.
Delicious food and totally cool vibe! The employees are very helpful and friendly! My lobster roll was huge with tons of claw meet! I highly recommend this place!
Long line, but this place kept it moving! Stuffed clams were to die for. Also had the haddock with Ritz crust. Do yourself a favor & get some!
Absolutely awesome! We were looking to experience the best of lobster rolls and clam chowder while in Boston and I believe that we did while at Yankee Lobster.
The building is certainly nothing fancy, but please do not let that stop you. The lobster roll and chowder were so good, we made a point to go back one more time before heading to the airport. It was just as good the second time!
We waited outside for a table and it was well worth the wait. Definitely the best clam chowder that I have ever had! Definitely recommend!
Absolutely phenomenal! Amazing food and incredible staff We loved it so much that we went twice! Lobster roll, blackened salmon, clam chowder... all to die for.
Whenever we visit Boston, we go Yankee Lobster Co. My daughter love this place. It's Lobstor roll is the best. Service is also good. Best seafood in the whole New Englad....
Fish sandwich and crab cakes are wonderful!!! Would definitely recommend this place.
Simple great tasting food. The cold lobster role was delicious. A little out of the way but worth the drive.
This restaurant is fun and unique, boasting a neat outdoor/indoor seating arrangement that is heated. The food was fantastic. I ordered the buttered lobster roll and clam chowder with fries, which was a generous portion. This was one of the largest lobster rolls I've ever received. The clam chowder was authentic and fresh. Surprisingly, the star of the meal was the French fries. They were so good that I would return to this location just to have them again. All in all, I believe the price matched the quality. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I went here for a Saturday lunch with my parents, and wow - it was great! We ordered the medium-sized Lobster Bisque, medium-sized Clam Chowder, 1.25 lb Lobster Dinner, and the Traditional Lobster Roll (+ lemonade + draft beer), which all came out to $113 pre-tip.
Overall, the quality of the food was great & the lobster pieces were a notable size. The lobster bisque had a big chunk of lobster, although it was really salty, in my opinion. The lobster and lobster roll was great, and the lobster roll had the pieces spilling out (a great problem to have).
The wait was about 30 minutes long when we went around 2pm on a Saturday. The space inside the restaurant is very small, so most customers had to sit outside on their patio. Overall, great tasting food with fair prices. A neat casual family-friendly restaurant.

The lobster was very good and that's what your going there for. Do need more places to sit and table service for the prices. Was pay and sit but then almost service yourself atmosphere and attitude. They were out of crab so couldn't get the crab and lobster roll. But will be back to try again another day it was that good 👍
Yankee Lobster was my graduation treat. I worked my butt off for 4 years, thus I bought 4 beautiful lobster rolls to compensate LOL. The rolls were absolutely delicious. It's pricey, of course since it's lobster, but it is definitely worth the treat. Lobster was so juicy and succulent, and best of all, it completely filled the roll as well! This place is so good I came back the next day for their lobster bisque and fried clams.
This was the last stop on a weekend-long tour and the food lived up to the hype. Quick and friendly service from the staff was the cherry on top. I didn't mind but if you're going to sit in the second outside seating section, it gets warmer out there when the sun is out.
Amazing clam chowder, and lobster 🦞 roll. First time in Boston, and staying in Seaport area. The bread was so super soft that I had to stop myself from over eating. Food so hot, and fresh that I burned the entire roof of my mouth :-).
Please note: I am planning on doing it all over again by re-visiting before I leave Boston. Yankee Lobster is a must try restaraunt. Be prepared to spend some $$$$ though. It is worth it!
Update
Last day in Boston - Seaport area and I had to stop by 3rd time to get me some lobster bisque and roll. I am going to miss it 😢.
The buttery lobster roll was out of this world! They definitely didn’t skimp on the lobster which was very much appreciated. The inside siting area is small. There is free parking on the side of the building. Prices are fair for quality and quantity of the portion served.
Visiting Boston, and we had a mission. Find a Lobstah Roll. There are a lot of options downtown, but we were looking for something more laid back and quick. We definitely found that here! The restaurant was nestled in a spacious industrial park, the atmosphere was laid back and casual, all the specials were written on a chalk board as you walk in. The atmosphere was very cozy. We sat outside with our doggo. The fried oysters were incredible, paired with some hot sauce, vinegar and tartar sauce was delicious! We got the hot, buttered roll, and it was stuffed with lobster meat and it was seasoned perfectly. The fries were crispy and salty. Everything was absolutely amazing.
I’ve been wanting to go here for so long! The standout were the fried clams. My husband also really enjoyed his fish sandwich. I got the hot buttered lobster roll which was much larger than I’ve had at other places. It was less hot and less juicy than I expected though which was disappointing but nevertheless, I still enjoyed it. I would return!
When you arrive, ordering happens at the counter. You place the order and find a seat . They give you a table marker and a server delivers your food to the table. Ordering is quick- so I would recommend knowing what you want before you go in. The have a very clear menu on their website.
The food was fresh and tasty! Everyone loved their food: we got three lobster rolls with butter, they come with fries.
My daughter got a Caesar salad and my son got chicken finger/fries.
They have wine/beer - but we opted non alcoholic they have soda in 20oz bottles and free water on the patio.
The lobster roll was the best I've ever had. The clam chowder was great and had a lot of clam meat. They're well organized with the crowd, stood in line but not long, and the food came out quick. I wish I could've eaten here again before I left. The fries were very crispy and fresh.
Haven't been back here in years and it's still just as good as I remembered!
Food is more expensive in general so the prices of a lobster roll will run you $35+ anywhere you go at this time.
Great quality and solid portions, they get their food out quick and it's consistent. Definitely recommend!
It's a bit out of the way but the area is great to walk through and the food is amazing. Best clam strips and fried lobster roll I've had in my life!! Food came out extremely fast for how good it is.
We visited Boston and I didn't want to leave without having a Lobster Roll. After watching numerous TikToks and reading articles we decided to go to Yankee Lobster. This was a great choice!
Although the seating system is a little weird, we had the hot buttered Lobster Roll and it was amazing! Very well seasoned and the butter was not too overpowering. The incredibly soft butter roll was full to the brim with huge chunks of very fresh lobster. We tried the Mac n cheese which was different because it has a light lemony taste to it (that isn't something we do in the south). The clam chowder was fresh and had a very nice taste to it.
I tried the Boston creme pie (first time ever) and wasn't a fan of it. I had nothing to compare it to but I'm not a fan of the texture of the cake.
Everything tastes really good. The lobster very big and fresh. I really love lobster bisque, it is very perfect when we eat in cold weather :)
The restaurant itself is pretty small but everything smacked. I have a lobster bisque the shrimp tacos and we had calamari and shrimp rice. Everything was seasoned great. Loved it and fresh!
Great experience. My first seafood meal in Boston. My friend at the counter helped me order my hot lobster roll and clam strips. Food came out quickly and was delicious. I highly recommend a stop.
Menu is straight forward and service was great. The hot butter lobster roll was amazing. Lacked nothing and overflowed with lobster. Lobster bisque was great with huge chunks of lobster. Everything was on point.
