The whole experience at Teatro was excellent. The portion sizes are pretty average, and the price is reasonable for the quantity and quality. The service is good, visiting often to refill water or offering to get more drinks. We came in on a Saturday evening around 5:30 pm with no reservation, and they were able to seat us immediately (group of 3). They started us off with some bread and a delicious dip, presumably a chickpea based hummus (I think!). Their bread is great - filled with bubbles indicating good fermentation. It had a crunchy outside and a relatively soft chewy inside. We ordered calamari to share, which was phenomenal. Well cooked and crunchy on the outside. It came with a lemon aioli and tomato coulis. I was a big fan of the lemon aioli. I got the linguini for my main dish, served with a shrimp scampi, tiny tomatoes, and garlic bread crumbs. It was phenomenal. I think it could use a hair more sauce, but I would definitely order it again. My all-time favorite dish of the night was what my boyfriend ordered - the special that night, a carbonara. It was a pasta, much like my own, that had bacon and used egg yolk in the sauce. I wish I knew how to make this one at home!! I didn't taste the chicken parmigiana my friend ordered, but he described it as "one of the best chicken parms" he has ever had. It looked like a well-balanced serving size. My boyfriend ordered the "Hot Tub" cocktail, which he's had before, and it's great! The flavors all blend really well together. I ordered the "white grape cosmo," which was very strong (stronger than I was in the mood for, but I still enjoyed it). For dessert, the guys both got tiramisus, which were decadent and gobbled right up. It's definitely some of the best tiramisu I've ever had. I irdered the homemade gelato, which comes with three scoops. I got two scoops of vanilla and one scoop of the salted caramel. I love a classic flavor like vanilla, but the salted caramel was soooo good. My boyfriend absolutely loved it as well. The bathrooms are downstairs - not handicap accessible as far as I am aware - so please keep that in mind. They were single stalled, so there's privacy and relatively clean.

My favorite restaurant!! If I could eat there every day I would. There hasn't been a dish that I haven't loved. I love their calamari, and the muscles are my ultimate favorite. The homemade sorbetto is absolutely delicious!!!

The food here was great, and I loved the atmosphere. It was comfortable, with dim mood lighting, and a somewhat rustic feel. It could be a nice place for a date, but I took away a star for the abysmal service. I don't know if all the servers were having a bad day or what, but I had to put on my jacket halfway through my dinner from the frosty attitudes. Aside from the subpar service, everything else was wonderful.

Atmosphere was very nice. Bologonese pasta was very good, not original, but a good interpretation of it (less salt would of elevated the dish more). My wife enjoyed her salmon dish but did not like the greenery under the salmon. Prices were more than fair, and the small pasta dish is a good portion.

Friendly, courteous and attentive staff. Fun, lively, modern decor. Fresh, bright, well composed flavors. Great experience and we were unrushed as three of us lingered over desserts and another glass of wine.

Reasonably priced and takes reservations. Great atmosphere-- bright seating along the walls, and not too loud. Service was good. We enjoyed the calamari, veggie antipasto, gnocchi, and honey dig jam pizza, but I think my favorite dish was the side rapini ($5). The food was very rich and left us too full for dessert!

The octopus entree is different, fresh and well balanced, the combination of flavors is perfect, the octopus is grilled to perfection. The spaghetti carbonara is good too despite the fact they used an excessive amount of butter. The service is also good and the food came fast from the kitchen. A beautiful place to have a nice dinner.

Teatro is a great spot for Italian outside of the north end. I’ve been a few times for drinks and for dinner and am generally pleased. The pasta portions are a bit small, but the pizzas are great. I really enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant, but I haven’t found the staff to be the most friendly either time I’ve dined.

Restaurant is super cozy with a great environment and amazing decor. Food was ridiculously good with extremely reasonable prices. Service was phenomenal, from being greeted by the host to being served to assisting us with our photography needs! Our server was very attentive and super helpful with our questions regarding the menu. I CANNOT stop telling my friends about it and am already planning to come back with different groups of people multiple times. The calamari was so fulfilling and I don't think I've had better. The salmon was exceptional! I also tasted my friend's shrimp linguine, and the shrimp was beyond good! The portions were also the perfect size. I had food to take home! Please try Teatro!

This restaurant is special. The food was delicious. You kinda knew it would be, but the atmosphere was really a great way for us to have a last night dinner in Boston. I like those blue lights and I liked the pasta dish I had. If you are looking for a nice dining experience, Teatro is worth the try. If I lived in Boston, it would be one of my regular places.

Food was good, service was excellent, and the atmosphere had a great vibe. Just didn't wow me overall. Started with antipasto where several items were excellent and a couple were good. Then salads; arugula and ceasar - both solid. Entree; salmon and a rigatoni. Salmon was overcooked and meat sauce on rigatoni was ok. Overall a good experience and would go again if in the area.

Myself and five of my friends went there after a musical. All I have to say the food was outstanding!! The service was outstanding as well. The bread was fresh and perfect. The calamari app was cooked to perfection. The sauces were great. The chicken Parm was one of the best I’ve ever had. We also had the Pasta Boganese. To top it off the Tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had. Run don’t walk to this Italian restaurant outside the Northend
