Fine Dining / Casual Atmosphere. UPDATED April 25th: My original review was very positive about the food but noted some issues with atmosphere, specifically the excessive noise coming from the cozy bar area. Our return dinner last night was later in the evening and suffered none of those problems, it was perfect start to finish. This is a truly remarkable place to get fine seafood -- on my first visit, I loved my Lobster Tasting, a generous portion of lobster prepared three different ways, and last night's stuffed filet of sole was even better with two large pieces of buttery sole wrapped around meaty hunks of crab meat and sitting in an incredibly rich sauce of vegetables similar to a ratatouille niçoise. Even my partner's simple-sounding steak filet was elevated beyond expectations.
UPDATE #2 June 10: Sunday brunch outside on their sidewalk dining area is just incredible. This is a genuine a la carte brunch, not some nasty cattle call buffet. The cappucino was a tad overpriced at $5.50 for a tiny cup, but everything else was quite reasonable. My Challah French Toast with Bananas Foster was heavily perfumed with cinnamon, and struck a great balance between custardy and toasty. Our bacon was crisp and perfect and the grapefruit juice was freshly squeezed.
Very good. We came here for our christmas meal. The food was excellent. I got the swordfish melt with fries and it was very good. For dessert I had the pumpkin tart and the boston cream pie. They were both delicious. The service was also excellent. I was very impressed with this meal!

Groupon Visit. I live in Providence & purchased this Groupon to have lunch or dinner w/one of a few friends...I wish I had used it for my friend Drew's belated b-day day in Boston (it was a complete day on Groupons; lunch, Museum of Science Omni, Boston Chocolate Walking Tour, Dinner & dessert!), but we chose other places. Another friend was sscheduled in town for 2 weeks before a gig on a cruise ship-his rehearsals got moved to the Bahamas at the last minute and another....is a workaholic like I that couldn't pull himself away for a luch break when I had appts in town...so, the day before expiration, I went up had dinner solo!
The two tables next to me both had Groupons...one raved about the Lobster Trio and the Halibut...the other had th Grilled Flatbread appetizer that looked and smelled wonderful as well as 2 Surf & Turf specials.I chose the Surf & Turf Special, a 4oz petit filet and lobster tail as well as the Brick Chicken w/golden and red beets w/a portobello & pea green salad and Tiramisu to go.
The filet I asked for 'still mooing' and it was PERFECT, the lobster tail in a beurre blanc w/pea greens was a little tough and weak in lobster fllavor. The Chicken was great the following night at home, The Tiramisu was probably the worst I've had in an upscale restaurant, I expeted much better. The online menu I reviewed before going had 3 desserts I was debating (Creampuff Trio, Lemon Ricotta layer cake and a Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake ), NONE of which were on the current menu...I was disappointed.
Service was great, I will return to try some of the other items on the menu which looked tempting as I saw them being delivered to other tables...and overheard many complimentary comments from other diners.
My wife and I were considering the Millennium Hotel earlier this year fir our wedding reception and it was the food at North 26 that put us over the top. EXCELLENT food and fantastic service! The guests at the wedding LOVED the food!
Really Good!!. I had read a few reviews on this place. The chef has a good reputation and has cooked in the city for quite a few years, so I decided to give it a try. It has since become one of my "go to" places in Boston when i want a good meal. The menu is fresh, seasonal and interesting. I have now been there 5 times and always leave happy. Check it out.
Best place, ever great food great service great staff like the manager, best guy ever polite and atentive 100 precent fantactic bring every one you know you will not regret it
The breakfast menu looked pretty standard, broken down into sections such as farm fresh eggs, the griddle & waffle, favorites, and cereals
Staying at the Bostonian Boston and decided to come down for a bite and a drink. Had a fun time chatting it up with the bartender, Chris, who was excellent at making unique and balanced cockails. Also - $1 oysters?? OBVIOUSLY. I would have liked to have some malt vinegar with them but they were delicious, nonetheless!
We're staying at the Bostonian Boston this weekend and decided to grab breakfast here - we ordered the eggs benedict with spinach and tomato as well as the caprese avocado toast. Both were delicious and very fresh!
North 26 is such a great spot in downtown Boston located right next to Faneuil Hall! The menu here is amazing, with the coolest cotton candy drink, chicken parm egg rolls, and a pizza called the "Fig & Pig" that was SO good. The Spicy Garlic Shrimp Pasta was also to die for and the staff are so friendly! Highly recommend!
We had breakfeast here and enjoyed it very much. Our server was very nice and we loved sitting by the window looking at Fanhuel Hall.
North 26, which is inside the Bostonian, but open to the public, makes delicious breakfasts. A lot of places don't use real hollandaise, but this was the real stuff as well as the Canadian bacon. The potatoes were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and a very good (albeit small and expensive) latte.

Nicest bartenders and staff! So friendly and accommodating. It’s a little restaurant and bar but the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and nice. Would highly recommend as a restaurant and a place to enjoy a few drinks right next to Faneuil Hall. Special shutout to Said, Denis, and Jimmy who made my visits special
Michelle, Sheila, Maria were so great. Super professional and food was amazing! Sheila taught us how to eat the lobster the boston way, Maria took care of us the whole time and Michelle served us some really great drinks. The best lobster I ever had! Definitely recommend!!!

Amazing food and drink, amazing service, they were open Christmas Eve night and had some of the best food I’ve had and extremely nice waiters.
My friends and I stopped here to eat breakfast. It was our first time eating in this fancy restaurant. The breakfast was delicious and a bit expensive. The waitress was nice and attentive. I would definitely eat here again.
Had brunch here. The food is elegant and well balanced. Both lobster sandwich and lobster Benedict are great. The sandwich has much more lobster meat. The toasted bread works great.
Our Server, Eliana was SUPERB!!! She was soooo accomadating! We had a delightful reunion luncheon.
Our beverages, lobster roll & birthday dessert were just delicious!!! Please thank Eliana from my friends for her wonderful hospitality & service.
You most definitely need though to replace your tatered & torn cushions!!!

The food is really good, and the location is perfect, but, really, go there after a game, or just visiting, to meet Said, an unbelievable bartender who makes every evening memorable! It's definitely worth a stop!
