Amazing food, service, cocktails. The food was incredibly creative and delicious likewise for the cocktails. The Goldfinch blew my mind. Beets in a cocktail... who knew!?
Unbelievable.. the food and service! I can’t even pick a favorite dish because everything we tried was fantastic!
Our food was outstanding. If you enjoy beet salad, try the one at Chickadee. Had a lovely striped bass, prepared perfectly. And dessert, well...try it for yourself. Thanks for wonderful food, great service, and an overall lovely evening.
Excellent food and lovely service! This place is a must!!!
Amazing service, drinks, and food! Fantastic 5 star experience all around. Can’t wait to come back!
Baller new spot. Lunch and dinner. Gorgeous room and great hospitality.
The best foods and service from the best people!
Chickadee is a total winner! This place easily gets 5 stars in my book. First off, when you step inside, it’s got this cozy and friendly vibe that makes you feel right at home. But the real magic happens with the food.
Their menu is a treasure trove of deliciousness. Seriously, it’s like they’re food wizards in the kitchen. From amazing cocktails to mouthwatering starters and main dishes, every bite is an adventure. The staff is super cool too, they know their stuff and are genuinely excited about the food.
Chickadee is the kind of place you’ll want to keep coming back to. If you’re on the hunt for a fantastic dining spot with awesome food and a great atmosphere, Chickadee’s got your back. It’s 5 stars all the way, and I’m already planning my next visit!
A friend saw this place and took us and it was well rated. Amazing Middle Eastern food. Everything on the menu is excellent. A feast of flavors except fried chicken.😭Attentive staff and great service overall. Good portions and prices.
A bit out of the way but certainly worth visiting. The gnocchi was probably the best I had in my life, flavour was exquisite and I really liked the texture which felt like each piece was individually fried.
The rest of the meal was also great, liked the pear salad and the bluefin tuna as well.
I do think the stake tartare is a bit too thick on the cream and a bit of a miss, but still overall really loved our meal there.
Very nice restaurant. Clean and quiet. You can actually have a conversation without losing your voice.
Great selection of drinks, including an extensive list of whiskeys.
The squid ink fusilli, chickpea panisse fries and torched bluefin tuna are out of this world!
Highly recommended.
I was so happy to have tried this place. Parking was easy and they have a great patio.
The first thing I had one the menu was the "smoked sea trout dip" and I was sold. It was so good! Everything that came after it was super tasty as well. I am looking forward to coming back here to try everything on the menu.
Soppressata in squid ink fusilli is soooooo good! Arroz de pato is the best in duck three ways (sausages and ducks are a little bit salty). Torched bluefin tuna is okay. Ginger & pumpkin ice creams have unique taste! (Nov 11th 2023)
Very solid place with a few standout dishes like the sea trout dips, but not everything on the menu was amazing as the other reviews make it out to be. The sea trout dips are very unique and a must, and we liked the crispy chicken too. The crispy hen of the woods, squid ink pasta and beets were okay. The gnocchi was pretty bad.
The ambiance was quite good, so was the service.
🐥 Chickadee 🐥
Chickadee was amazing!
This was a last minute choice to pop in here and so glad I did!
The food was so rich in flavor and perfectly crafted - so much thought and love put into this.
We were able to try a couple of dishes and they were all so different and exquisite.
The porchetta was insanely good. The favors were so unique paired together. Warm and refreshing - the jalapeños and peanuts with watermelon were amazing.
The pastas were amazing!
The green garlic spaghetti was 10/10, so rich in flavor and amazing with the clams. This was quite heavy and is better to be shared.
The Lobster Campanelle was also amazing. Creamy and slightly spicy. The amount of lobster was large so very well worth the price too!
Overall, great experience! Chef Jason does it right, and the service was 10/10!
Solid tapas styled dishes. The beet salad and desserts were the highlights. Great service.
Amazing restaurant on Drydock, same building as America's Test Kitchen. You may get some celebrity sight seeing if you are lucky.
Small plates, so might want to limit your party size.
Wagyu beef carpaccio was delicious, Italian flavors with shaved parmesan cheese and olives. Smoked trout dig was very good, and trout was still flakey. Mustard sauce has a wasabi kick, paired perfectly with the fish.
Citrus panzanella was amazing. It was not full of bread, but shaved carrots, citrus segments, and crispy bread chips for texture. Hen in the woods mushroom was delicious. Mushroom was fried and crispy, but not battered, served in a creamy potato puree.
Squid ink fusilli was our pasta of choice, and it was excellent. Pieces of tender squid inside, umami from the squid ink, and perfectly cooked pasta.
We couldn't finish the short rib, but braised short rib was the must have. Short ribs was so tender, it literally melted in my mouth.
Bartenders were amazing, super friendly, and made excellent drinks.
My second visit after a year. We had some pleasant surprises and disappointments. They expanded the menu now includes four entrees. We had the slow roasted duck, which was smokey and tender. It was significantly better than the fried chicken that we tried the first time. The appetizers, small plates, and pasta dishes were excellent. The squid ink fusili was a bit too salty. The big disappointment was the dessert menu. The strawberry tart was fine, except it tasted like something you could buy from whole foods, for half the price. The baked alaska that we tried the first time looked and tasted like an environmental disaster. No flames, and molted. Service was okay. Would not return unless they hire a new pastry chef.
Wow! The food was delicious, creative, hearty, and elegantly presented. Everything was great, but the squid ink fusilli was the clear standout: each bite contained a different combination of exciting and rich flavors. The service was also impeccable. The waitstaff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and the kitchen made several on-the-fly adjustments to various dishes to accommodate my girlfriend's allergy (we didn't even need to ask). We were blown away by the entire experience and can't wait to return!
The location makes you wonder if you’re in the right spot and upon entering we sat at the bar and watched the place fill up. Attentive staff, knowledgeable and friendly! I don’t drink but the staff was busy making many beautiful looking unique cocktails!
Started with the pita, tzatziki, bean and red pepper hummus! Great flavor and delicious! Ordered the steak tartare with the truffle mousse on top- steak was finely chopped and delicate / very flavorful, with a hint of truffles. Main dish was lobster campanelle. The pasta is made with lobster and the chili gave the dish a slight spice. I would describe the flavor as being light - squid ink pasta was delicate, not too salty with a slight crunch from the olive bread crumb.
I’d describe the food, service and flavor as definitely solid - though it left me wanting just a bit more wow factor of flavor.
Overall a great experience. 4.5 stars if I could
Really a fantastic spot for dinner in Boston. Very nice, modern and comfy setting in the Design Center. Staff was excellent and attentive, drinks were well made - and the food is best in class. We stuck with four small plates for two people - and we’re very pleased! Will be back!
One of my favorite restaurants. Food is consistently great. Definitely get the trout dip. Sounds weird to you? Trust me. Sat at the bar last time I went and liked it better than last time I sat at a table. Can get busy and loud so better to sit next to your date. Cooler too.
Food was amazing! We got the rabbit and bbq pork pastas and both were delicious, along with the Mediterranean platter and squash tart which are also wonderful. Service was similarly great! Would love to come back someday.
Delicious, creative, full of flavor, and picture perfect presentation. Five stars! The staff was so accommodating for a last minute larger table and were fun to talk to and we three had a lovely evening.
The clean plates speak for themselves. We love delicious food and this was beyond delicious!
We will make the trip back from NYC to visit our friends at Chickadee. They are also kid friendly offering a tasty menu for children without sacrificing flavor. Our daughter had the pasta and it was chef’s kiss good! The strawberry dessert reminded me of the strawberry short cake bars from childhood but a billion times better and bursting with flavor. I can’t say enough good stuff about this place. Thank you! Thank you! ❤️
Delicious food met with even better service! We sat at the bar top and the bartender was very knowledgeable and attentive. He recommended this drink (pictured, but cannot remember the name!) and it was unlike anything I’ve had in a good way! We tried the dips/spreads with fresh pita, chickpea panisse fries, and crispy kale salad. Everything was so tasty and I can’t wait to come back and try more.
