An awesome experience. We had an oyster appetizer, then almalfi and chicken masala. Everything was great. The restaurant was small but relatively quiet. Great meal.

I have been here over 30 times in the past 20 or so years.  Mo and his family have been running this diamond the entire time.  Many restaurants come and go in the north end but only the real great ones stay - just like Mike's Pastry :)  Rabias is a fantastic, small restaurant and only one of a handful in the entire north end to have received an A rating from the city.  The same waiters and busboys have been working there for 20 years - which says a lot about the management.
The food is fantastic. From the warm goat cheese spinach salad to the seafood fridiablo, there is no place that serves fresher food.  They have recently opened a raw oyster bar which is small, quaint and again serves the freshest oysters.   There is one coveted window seat that is just too perfect for words - get there early  or get lucky - this is a dreamy place for a first date.

Lobster Roll with Bisque. I drove all the way from New Haven just to get this lobster roll! OK, not exactly. I had never been to Boston in my life, the only American city large enough to have major league sports teams where I had not set foot. So on a visit to North America, when my daughter wanted to attend a convention in Yale-town, that gave me an excuse to nick her car for the day and motor to Harvard-ville. I needed an address to plug into the GPS, and after reading Lobster Gal's review of this roll, it was "Bob's Your Uncle!" At $27, this was the most expensive takeaway sandwich and fries I ever had. I would have eaten it in-house, but finding parking in the North End? No chance. This thing cost as much as the lobster poutine I had at a high-end restaurant in Toronto's financial district.

This thing was really just an excuse to eat lobster chunks using bread to pick them up, instead of my fingers. Great meat, wads of it, like I had ordered a lobster dinner, only they put it on bread and drenched it with gravy. This bore about the same resemblance to a common lobster roll as a filet mignon does to a Philly cheesesteak. I didn't do the dish any favours by hauling it through the Big Dig and across town before I finally found a place by the Charles to picnic with it in the rain. Everything was so soggy by then that I hardly noticed the mozzarella on it. The fries were VERY New England, dark potatoes, skin still on. They definitely don't make chips like that in Australia.

GREAT restaurant! Recently while visiting Boston we ate lunch at Rabias, then went back for dinner the same night. The next night we took our daughters who had joined us in town. Thank you Rabias for great food and a fun time! Oyster shooters rock!

Great little spot in North End. I love tiny restaurants and was surprised this place wasn't full on a Saturday night.
The Caesar salad was delicious and very heavy on the garlic. Calamari was good but I prefer a roumelaude sauce for dipping. I ordered Frute De Mare and it was a good portion of lobster, scallops and shrimp in cream sauce baked with a toasty crumb topping. Very good and piping hot. My husband thought his chicken Parm was just average. The baked lobster and fettunicini special was great. Service was very fast and attentive.

A relatively small restaurant, with adequate service, rabias extensive menu made for a delicious meal with multiple options for every person at our table. We loved our mushroom cap/fig appetizer as well as the fresh pesto gnocchi. We will definitely be back!

We originally wanted to go to Neptune. But after finding out there's an hour wait, and we were in a rush, we decided to go next door to Rabias. The servers were very patient and the food is good, but not great. The clams and mussels were full of sand. For the quality of food, it's a bit pricey (cod for lunch was $30!).

BEST filet mignon. Such a good restaurant. A nice italian restaurant in the "italian district" of Boston, where it's hard to distinguish one restaurant from another, with nice ambience and really great food.

Best of Boston. I went here with my girlfriend and I couldn't have been more pleased. I ordered wild mushroom ravioli and she ordered fillet Mignon. The service was a little slow, but when the food came, we wanted to keep eating and eating. My ravioli was the best ravioli I have ever had. I would recommend this Rabia's to dignitaries.

Hidden Gem. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Butternut squash and pumpkin ravioli, and was sad when I was done. The atmosphere was great as well. The service was very helpful. Loved this restaurant.

The bisque was thick enough and the bun hearty enough to prove the waiter wrong. Throughout the eating experience, I experienced no sogginess. That is quite a feat for any hot lobster roll, they all usually break down on the bottom, spilling the meat out. The first bite really blew me away. This lobster meat was incredibly tender and delicious, huge chunks of tail and claw. I will admit, they need work on their lobster picking skills, I got several inner claw shards. I felt like I should have been upset about it, but I actually found it strangely impressive because it was direct evidence tha

Specializing in Italian & Mediterranean cuisine, Rabia's is a North End gem located at 73 Salem Street. The atmosphere exudes allure and enchantment, where large open windows draw you in with grape vines covering the ceiling and low hanging branches beckoning like something out of a storybook or perhaps an exotic wine cellar.

Last night B and I had a birthday party downtown and we decided to head to the North End beforehand for dinner. Despite living so close to the North End, it is a neighborhood I rarely venture into. I get impatient by the crowded sidewalks filled with tour

Venturing into Rabia's Dolce Fumo, Friday night proved to be an extraordinary seafood expedition. As a Texan eager for a taste of the Atlantic, the ambiance hit all the right notes. Welcomed by a gracious woman in a black dress, the restaurant exuded a magnetic charm. The cartoon-like aroma trail led us to a vibrant section with a concealed bar that added an element of surprise. Our server, the remarkable Yaya, elevated the experience. Patient and knowledgeable, she navigated us through the menu, turning the dining experience into a culinary journey. The seasonal swordfish was a revelation—a delicate dish featuring a perfectly grilled filet accompanied by fresh vegetables and a light dressing. Exploring further, the oysters were a highlight—fresh, flavorful, and needing no enhancement, except perhaps a squeeze of lemon. The drink selection, despite being seasonal, possessed a timeless quality, as if crafted by seasoned mixologists. Yaya's attentive service added an extra layer of enjoyment. Her guidance enhanced our choices, making each plate a symphony of flavors. Rabia's Dolce Fumo is not just a seafood haven; it's a masterclass in ambiance, service, and culinary excellence. An unforgettable experience, and a heartfelt thanks to Yaya for making it truly exceptional.

We stopped to read the menu and were very enthusiastically invited in by 2 regulars sitting near the door. They couldn't recommend the place highly enough. We ordered what they were having - the veal saltimbocca - and it was truly delicious.

Our favorite restaurant in Boston! As always, a warm welcome by friendly staff followed by great cocktails. Excellent food included gnocchi, salmon & delicious, authentic marinara & meatballs. Staff was accommodating & did not rush us at all! I even was given a Tshirt in celebration. A must do when in Boston.

Came out to have dinner at a new restaurant and we were very pleased with the service and the food. Our waiter was very friendly and patient with us while we looked over their menu. Loved the fact that the cheese board came with two of everything so my partner and I were able to split it in half. The pasta and sauce was delicious. The rib eye was out of this world and practically melting in my mouth. I was extremely happy that the mashed potatoes were made from real potatoes and not from a box. We had a great experience and will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend others to come try this place out if you haven’t already.

Lobster meat risotto was to die for. Our server was so friendly and funny. Everyone else enjoyed their food. Drinks were good and strong 😉. It sounds like not every dish is everyone favourite but I would definitely come back to try a bunch more dishes..

As a treat to myself, I found this hidden gem on Google. A photo of the giant meatball appetizer drew me in (of course, I had that). Let me tell ya!! This is legit 👌 The service was hands down the best I've had in idk how long! They sat with me, laughed with me, genuinely made me feel welcomed. And the food!!! I had a bite of shrimp from my entree (Gamberi Dorati)... you know it's delish when someone just closes their eyes and savors it. That was my reaction. The quality and flavors were impeccable. I am so glad I chose this spot for dinner. I will have to go again before I leave Boston. Thanks, guys!! This Southern Belle could easily mix in with the Boston crowd. Appetizer: North End giant meatball 10/10 Entree: Gamberi Dorati 10/10 Wine: Little Sheep sauvignon blanc 9/10 Atmosphere: 10/10 Staff: off the charts!

Went here with coworkers on a business trip to Boston. Hostess was friendly and seated us right away. Initially put us at a really tight table by the window. As a plus-sized diner, that wasn't going to work for me. So they immediately offered us a different table with much more room. Our order was taken quickly and all the food came out immediately. Hot and delicious. The wait staff was attentive without being intrusive. As I said, here on a work trip so we talked shop and the level of service was greatly appreciated as it did not impede conversation. Would recommend for anyone looking for a small spot with good food and good service.

Rabia's Dolce Fumo is amazing and we will definitely be back when we visit Boston again! Everything we ordered was exceptional, the cocktails were delicious and the service was perfect. Even with it being a busy Saturday night, we received the warm, family-type atmosphere and service. Our server, Yaya, was so attentive and by boys loved her kindness and great sense of humor! Thank you very much for your awesome service and delicious food!

Went there for lunch and absolutely loved it. Not busy at all for the lunch hour which was a blessing. Lobster bisque, clam chowder and steamed mussels were amazing! We had cannolis and tiramisu for dessert and it was absolutely perfect. Our waiter Marvin was so wonderful and a pleasure to chat with. Next time we visit the Boston area, we’d love to come back!

Definitely better oysters than in Boston Oyster House. Loved the lobster soup. During my 6 day stay in Boston- the best restaurant. Tables are a little crowded, but it looks like family run place, so it only adds to the general vibe.

Food was superb. Had the clam chowder, spinach and portobello salad and the stuffed chicken. Place doesn't look like an upscale italian restaurant. You would probably pass it by if you are looking for something "nice" and cozy. But, the food is worth it.

This should be rated much higher. Certainly not lower than the Boston Oyster House. We were a group of 6 for a Business Dinner and all were very happy and enjoyed the good food. If you have to wait in front of the others, just go there. Give it a try.

This place is so amazing. The service is amazing and they gave us really nice bread to start out with. It came with this amazing dip to dip in. We asked for more of it and they kindly gave it to us. We got two salads and they were so good. When we finished our drinks, they refilled it every time. The food did come a little too slow though. The lobster roll was really good too. This is probably the best Italian food ever. The power up sea food was also really good

The ambiance is beautiful and the food is amazing. There was a large party in the restaurant so that may have affected service. The waiter was slow and mixed up our orders. Also be careful ordering wine, some of the wines tasted oxidized or like they went bad. Overall I would return for the food and because they stay open later than some of the other restaurants in the area.

Restaurant was quaint and open. Not fancy. They were playing Motown hits which I appreciated. Service was a little slow but the food was good. They serve bread in a re-purposed tomoato can which added a nice eccletic touch. I ordered the Freedom Trail drink that came out smoldering..that was fun! We started with the clam chowder which was really good. I had the lobster ravioli which was fresh and cooked well. The sauce was vibrant in color and was served nice and hot. My husband had the lobster over risotto and wild mushrooms. He enjoyed his dinner. Overall..I would recommend if you're in the area.
