Really interesting menu — I wanted to try it all! We ordered a main & 2 hot dishes and they were all delicious. The flavor profile for all of them were not what I expected in a really good way! The dishes can get quite spicy so definitely moderate if you know you can’t tolerate spice. Service was fine, we didn’t really interact. There’s an additional 2.5% kitchen fee. Interestingly the suggested tips are calculated after tax minus the kitchen fee. I’ll definitely be returning to try the other dishes!

A beautiful place at a great location. The food is great and the cocktail is fantastic. The service is a little bit slow but we got everything we needed at least. The amount of food is not consistent tho, sometimes the bao is smaller than regular. A little bit overpriced like 2 small bao for 15 dollars. Overall it’s a nice place to hang out with friends

I haven’t been in this space since it was the beautiful Hamersley Bistro a decade ago. Although it couldn’t be more different, it is still a very nice space. It was pleasantly crowded on a Friday night but the bar did clear out by about 9. The food was good, particularly the bao. I tried both the pork bun and the fried chicken bun and enjoyed them both. The tuna crisp was not as good as the bao and my friend complained that the whole fish was over sauced. Service was distant. Our waitress seemed eager to take our order and move on. There weren’t the regular pleasantries. I did however have a nice exchange with the host on the way out. Bottom line: it’s a fun location with a lively atmosphere. Food is good, particularly the buns. It’s a good place to grab a few small bites and some cocktails.

My wife and I had a date night here. I enjoyed the wildfire and my wife thought the frosé was delicious. My favourite dish was the pork belly bao but the empanada was quite nice also. The smashed cucumber had a nice bit of heat. There is an outdoor area but we appreciated the indoor seating below the wonderful floral decor.

Really delicious vegan options, however wish they were more diverse. For example, everything “vegan” is just replaced by lettuce which doesnt taste as good. The service and staff were amazing and super friendly, and gave really good effort to explain alot of the menu and clarify any questions. Ambiance is everything- dark and modern woodsy vibes- love it! crispy rice, tofu, fries, dan dan noodles, bao buns, mousse - all amazing!

I returned June 2023. Still great service and attentive wait staff. I highly recommend this charming restaurant. Loved my visit to this restaurant. I had ushered at the Calderwood Theatre that Sunday afternoon and decided on a whim to stop at the Banyon while walking Back Bay Station. Service was great. My waitperson was very friendly and attentive. It's a great place to go solo cause they don't make you feel second class. Food was excellent and i enjoyed my mocktail. I'll def go again!

We had an amazing time tonight sitting on the patio. Some highlights from our meal: the tuna crudo was so fresh and they balanced the lime yuzo flavor so well (sometimes those flavors can be overpowering)!!! We also loved the tuna crispy rice, avocado edamame hummus, the mushrooms are a MUST. We got a flare on aperol spritz with tequila which we now want to make at home too. please do yourself a favor and sit on the patio. Service was very attentive- Carly and kailey were great. We will be returning. Thx

This place is beautiful with great food and a super sweet host. Came here for the first time last night. The wait was 45 minutes but we were seated within a half hour. We ordered the wildfire for our drinks(so good) the chicken buns, bok chocolate, short ribs and sticky chicken. EVERYTHING was so good. Only thing I didn't like was all the food had that sweet kick. It was still good but I wanted a strictly savory dish out of them all. I would definitely go back!
