Such a nice dessert place to go at anytime! The puffs are super light where even after our Italian meal we could enjoy a good puff pastry. My friends really enjoyed the green tea puffs while I thought the cookies and cream one (not pictured, ate it too quickly 😂) was too perfect!

Tasty filling in a cream puff. It was nice to be able to chose your shell. When I went there was only vanilla flavored filling left. The shell wasn't as soft as I thought so it was real messy to eat and the filling squeezed out. So 5 stars for taste, 3 for experience, so I'll settle in the middle.

A small mochi and cream puff place in the outskirts of Chinatown. They only prepare and sell a few things, but they are all executed well. Tastes like mochi you'd eat anywhere, nothing too special here. They usually run out if some flavors towards the end of the day (and are sometimes out at the beginning of the day). The best flavor, in my opinion, is the mango. Nice and chewy, not too hard, not too soft. Not sure if they make them in-house. While they technically sell mochi, the cream puffs around the real stars of the show. You can tell they bake them right in the store. Partly because they taste great, but mostly because you can literally see them baking in transparent ovens behind the counter. You get to choose a flavor of shell (there are several), then one of their two fillings. I recommend the Dulce de Leche shell, with the vanilla filling. The shells are crispy without being crumby, and never soggy despite the filling. That being said, you should definitely eat them ASAP; they will get stale and don't hold up in the fridge that well. You know how when you buy something like a Hostess cupcake, and it's 99% cake and a tiny tiny blob of filling in the middle? This is absolutely not the case with these cream puffs. They are absolutely loaded with this delicious filling. The filling itself is creamy, flavorful, and plenty vallina-y without being cloyingly sweet. It's viscous enough to stay in the shell without making a huge mess on every bite. You should still grab a napkin, they aren't the cleanest things in the world to eat. These cream puffs are on the expensive side at $3.75 each. An extra $0.50 for the green tea flavored cream. While they are big enough so that one is perfect for a snack and two would be overkill, $4.25 for a single cream puff is a little steep. The immediate location around Beard Papa is a little rough (seemingly abandoned buildings etc), and at first glance you'd probably think what I thought: "... I don't really want to eat food from here". But fear not, the inside of Beard Papa looks exceptionally clean. Drop the price and offer a few more kinds of creams (they only have two at this location) and I'd say this is a 5-star snack place.

This is one of my fav places to walk to on my way home. The puffs are fluffy on the inside and just the right amount of crisp for each bite. The honey cream is subtle and goes with all the flavors available. My personal fav is the creme brûlée but I know most of my friends go crazy for the s’mores or dulce de leche

The place is tiny and discreet but the smell of the puffs are divine. The cream filing and the ice cream inside the hot puffs are irresistible. Place always has a faithful following and a queue outside

Great spot for when you want a sweet treat but don't want to feel grossly full after. This place has several different puffs to choose from (basic, dulce de leche, french thingies, cocoa, and more), and you get to fill them with vanilla or a matcha flavor. This is almost like a Chinatown version of a cannoli!

A small shop with very good cream pastries. It's a great dessert option after eating in China town

A cute place that is in a good location. Their cream puffs are amazing and have quite a bit of variety. However, they are often out of flavors of shells in unpredictable ways. While they do not sell drinks, they are directly across from a bubble tea shop (Chattime) and the two make a great pair! It is convenient, has good, light desserts, but occasionally may not have your favorite flavor.

Great cream puffs. I've tried the original and the green tea flavor and both were very good, not too sweet with a good amount of cream. They are a little pricey in my opinion, but they are a pretty good size. It's located right next to a bubble tea shop, which is the perfect pairing, but they share a doorway so there's usually a long line for both shops and it can get crowded, but it's worth it.

The BEST puffs! Parking is awful. You will have to park in a public garage not even 1 block away.

We tried vanilla and green tea cream puffs. They’re flaky and crispy, and not stale at all. The cream is smooth and flavorful. I preferred the vanilla flavor, but overall a nice place for dessert.

I've had cream puffs at Beard Papa's twice now, and both times the cream puffs there have been more delicious than I thought. The shells, which are filled fresh when you order, are delicious, crunchy and not too eggy. The vanilla cream has a very nice vanilla flavor (not just a "cream taste", and the cream is slightly custardy as well). To be honest, the original shells with vanilla cream are my favorite, not too overly flavorful or "fancy" but very tasty! I highly recommend coming here for their cream puffs.

Very delicious puff pastry that was soft and chewy. The filling was made to perfection. We tried the dulce de leche pastry and was awesome. Try the classic Mochi ice cream, particularly Sakura flavored one. The seating area is small and can be crowded in busy hours. So be prepared to take the goods to go.

I got the dulce de leche cream puff and it was delicious! And I'm not much of a cream puff person, so these are truly so good! Around 8pm in a Saturday most flavors were sold out so make sure to get there early.

This is my favorite desert place. I love the mini cream puffs that you can just pop in your mouth with just one bite. The mochi ice cream is delicious!! The vanilla and strawberry mochis are my favorite and they are the perfect size for one person.

Damn good cream puffs and Mochi. All felt really homemade and fresh. The bubble tea right across the hallway was equally delicious and paired well. Overall they were lightning fast, pretty affordable, and definitely the best way to end a night in Chinatown.

They only sell cream puffs. There very good cream puffs, with good variety. My only complaint is that they don't have anything to drink but bottled tea. I wanted some water, but they don't have any.
