Our first time experiencing Jamaica Plain and what fun it is. An eclectic, diverse neighborhhood houses this gem of a eatery. Of course we started with a Margarita and out of this world fresh nachos. Chips made in house daily! The avocado taco did not disappoint. The soul of the house appears to be the staff: friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable.

From the second we walked in to the time we left the staff was very accommodating and made sure we were taken care of. The drinks were excellent and the food from appetizer to desert was excellent. Great taste and even better value. A true hidden jewel in JP. Make sure you read the back of your menu, casa verde and its sister resturaunts take care of their back of the house staff!!

loved that they were playing Cleopatra on the bar teevee, but even more importantly, music-wise mixing some Daptone artists (Charles Bradley, Sharon Jones) with classic soul artists like Otis Redding & Sam Cooke - why is it so hard to catch music like this while out? It's special to me that they know to play it! ✨ ...so we were already loving the bar atmosphere & beer selection, & were then blown away by the mole chicken & the tacos! Thanks for the wonderful evening - we will def be back to try the ceviche!

nachos were fantastic Nachos al pastor (amazing grilled lamb shawarma spit-grilled meat brought by the Lebanese immigrants to Mexico.) with queso, and tomatoes, delicious crema, awesome pickled jalapeno! 'what!' handmade deep fried chips. perfect saltyness, and thickness "SO CRUNCHY" right crazy!

We sat at the bar for drinks and the staff was awesome. Thanks Ivan. So we're the cocktails. we tried several and none were disappointing. So good and great service. We ate at their sister restaurant and it was a great night.

We were craving for this wonderful jumbo sized nachos. We got the three cheese nachos and the toppings were so great. The chips and the pack was good for the price. Lovely cheese taste and the toppings. Only thing we didn't like was the bitterness aftertaste (like old oil or some chemical taste) Maybe it was burnt a little.

I was so happy and impressed here. The food was absolutely fantastic, super tasty and the pricing actually very reasonable. The next morning I woke up still craving another mocktail from the night before. Guac was so real and fresh (unlike the other restaurants you can tell it's frozen), chips not too salty (also a big perk compared to other Mexican restaurants 🤣) we ordered multiple things off the menu and split it. All so good!!! The venue is small and seating fills up fast so I recommend you plan ahead or expect to wait. But even if you have to wait, it will be well worth it! Definitely going to be dining here again!

Casa Verde Taqueria in the Boston neighborhood of Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts has a large outdoors seating area in the back of the restaurant next to the parking lot. Parking is free in the back parking lot. One of my friends dines outside only during this health situation. There are large umbrellas on most of the tables and we got hit with the sun regardless, around 4pm. We ordered the Brussels sprouts taco, pescado taco, queso with carnitas and chips, and barbacoa quesadilla. Each dish was delicious and flavorful. The tacos were one per order and pricey. A carafe of water was placed on the table and the server poured our glasses from the carafe, leaving a small amount. When the carafe was empty, I went to a shop for several minutes. I came back to the table and after a while, I asked a server for a refill of the carafe. Afterwards, my friend said she had asked a server to refill the carafe when I was away from the table. The service was good otherwise. What I like is that different servers help out each table, not just one person. There is a HAF fee of 5% which I noticed when I got home and looked through the pictures. HAF is supposedly a kitchen fee and sales tax was applied to this fee as HAF was placed in the subtotal.

We have dined inside, on the patio and done takeout, here because the tacos are amazing and there are multiple thoughtful vegetarian options! We do more takeout now because the acoustics inside the restaurant are tough, it gets really loud and is a bit uncomfortable for conversation by our standards. The patio in the back is nice and a better setting for conversation when it is open we try to be seated there. Overall this spot is a favorite and we often take guests here when we have people come in from out of town. The service is always fast and friendly and the food and cocktails are delicious!

Nice experience. Highly recommend. Flavor of the taco were good. Drins were good, different way of making a michelada but it was tasty and really good. The chile o thtacos was on point it gave it a little extra flavor. Not too spicy just perfect. Would highly recommend and for sure I will come back again. It was a nice experience the places is small and comfy.

Ate here with my cousin yesterday and had 3 tacos. They were AMAZING. The tortillas were freshly made, and the tacos were mouth-wateringly good. I loved the vibe of the place. Super authentic food, upbeat staff. I couldn't ask for anything more!

Very good option for a sit down Mexican place in JP. The food at Chilacates is better but they don't have the sit down experience. The black bean dip is very good. The nachos are some of the better ones I've had. The tacos are good, but not "the best," and some are different in a way that isn't that interesting, but worth trying to fish, fried chicken, and yucca for sure. The biggest issue is that the food feels super heavy, quesadillas are always incredibly oily, cheese dip is too salty.

Stopped in for a fast lunxh. Friendly fast and very much a hidden gem. Food was good but I really wanted nachos and their kitchen had some issues so that wasn't an option. Portions were good. Very clean and organized. Decorated well. Comfortable seats.

This place does everything so well. Delicious margaritas and great beer selection. Can't say enough good things about the food. Lastly, every bartender we have met has been so relaxed and skilled.

The best are the the barbacoa and carnitas. Pesscado and chorizo are good too. Disappointed by the caoliflower taco. Nice outdoor sitting.

Good place to go! We went there on Saturday afternoon. You can seat inside or outside, they offer you nachos and you have to choose the souce that you want. We take the salsa souce and the nacho is so crunch, very good! We also order a fried Chicken torta and carnitas and beef barbecue taco! The torta come with a really good potatoes! The food is amazing! A lot of flavor in a bite. The Taco dough is not crunch, this part I didn't like very much! Inside the building there is a very cool pub! And the restroom also is insite the pub. I recommend!

Great local restaurant with excellent customer service - I've tried 3-4 of their cocktails and was happy with all of them. The dark paradise is one of my favorites. Tacos are about $5-6 and drinks are about $12-15 so pretty standard pricing for the city, especially for JP. Beef barbacoa and yucca tacos are my go-tos, super flavorful and even better with their hot sauce. When the weather is nice, take advantage of the patio but you'll have a great time at the bar too!
