Found this place because Google Maps was acting up and so glad we did. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was amazing. The decor is awesome. Great value for your dollar as well!

We have been to Barlow's Restaurant many times and the food is always good. This review however is for an event. I was planning a bridal shower and had thought about a number of the 'usual' places that host showers. Many of them operated like it was another wedding...minimums, room rentals etc. I remembered seeing corporate gatherings in the past when I was at Barlows so I decided to call and see if they could accommodate our bridal shower of approximately 55-60 guests. Jessica, the General Manager was amazing. She was so helpful in the organization, room setup and menu suggestions. We exchanged many emails in the planning phase and she always responded quickly and professionally. Everyone that works there is so pleasant. During our event, Vicky and Clare helped throughout the entire buffet and they were outstanding and efficient. It was a large group of people and they were excellent at keeping food and drinks available. We ordered an assortment of flatbreads, philly cheesesteak bites, sliders, salad etc and everything was delicious. We also had a mimosa and sangria bar that looked, and tasted, amazing! The event was on a Sunday and they even played the Patriot's game for the bride...outstanding! The space was perfect and many people commented on how nice the room looked and they liked the vibe and decor of the restaurant overall. All of the staff was outstanding....I don't want to forget anyone-- I recall Chris was on the main bar and Farrah (?) also helped us to make sure there was nothing else we needed as our guests arrived. Every staff member is so professional and helpful...they were really a joy to work with. I feel that this is a "hidden gem" for this size of an event and I am so pleased with everything that day and the bride said it was "perfect"...what more could we ask for ... I would definitely plan an event there in the future without hesitation!

Great place to get the 1$ oysters after 3pm, Fridays and mondays. The staff is really nice and the oysters were amazing. Good selection of beers too.
Stopped in for brunch late morning and found the place mostly empty. The quiet was super nice. Open ambiance with a few TV's quietly showing different sports in the bar area. Friendly and quick service. With the exception of the fries, the food was excellent. The fries were bland and plentiful, but the sandwich was fantastic.
Most of the food was very tasty. Excellent pretzel. Chicken lettuce wraps were messy and underwhelming. They don't know how to make an Old Fashioned. Very good draft beer list. Good service, too.
Food was really good but drinks were kinda pricey and the waiter was a bit rude. It looked like he was the only waiter "on duty" that night and it was fairly busy so I don't blame him. My husband's burger was fantastic, and they give you a very generous portion of fries! I got the salmon salad which was very yummy, the seasoning was perfect.

Fantastic setting minutes from the financial district. Mike has been behind the bar for a decade and brings the true character of the place to light. Fantastic food at reasonable prices and one of the best bartenders in the city. Would recommend this place to anyone for a corporate lunch with the team or a casual meet up after hours.
I've been here several times over the past few years and it actually seems to get better each visit. Acoustics can still be a problem, with everyone shouting over each other. But the bar bites are excellent, inexpensive, and playful. I probably wouldn't order the Mac and cheese sticks again, waaaaaay too greasy. Service had been consistently good and their spacious patio is terrific for outside dining.
Barlow's is a really good restaurant that is close to the Waterfront in South Boston. The drinks are pretty good, but the burgers are really good. Their entrees are not lacking either. I would say lookout for the parking as it is Residential Parking right in front of the restaurant. It is a good place to sit down and have good food with a good atmosphere. The biggest complaint is the parking situation.
Awesome spot to grab a few drinks after work or on the weekend. Fantastic atmosphere and always boasts a lively crowd. Great waiters and bar tenders. Food is decent but you're going here for the scene, drinks and live bands...not for the best food in Boston. Their outdoor patio is the perfect balance of upscale and relaxed.
One of my favorite places in the Fort Point area. This place is a true hidden gem. Food is really good. We usually go for dinner, but have done brunch a few times. Their drink menu is fantastic (beer and mixed drinks). If you are a big fan of chicken, I recommend the nachos with Chipotle chicken. They have healthy options including lettuce wraps and power bowls s well as some seafood options. Steak tips are expertly cooked and very tasty.
Excellent service and a great venue for group events! Chris and team go above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect. Couldn't be more pleased as we brought in a group of 26. Great food and even better people to make it very smooth. Highly recommended!
Lunch menu was so tasty looking that there were a dozen things that I wanted to try. However, I needed a salad, so I got the spinach and salmon and it was excellent. My partners all enjoyed their meals, the Thai lettuce wraps, the bacon burger with onion rings. We all kind of felt the chowder wasn't the greatest.
Barlow's is a great place for drinks, and a pretty good place for food. The menu is decent in size, and the offerings are prepared well. But nothing outstanding. Drinks though is a different story, they have a very large square bar, where it's easy to grab a corner for larger groups and still be able to talk/converse. If not you can always strike up a convo with a fellow patron or the bartender.
Great place for team lunches. The staff has been very accommodating when we show up with a large group. A lot of good food selections as well as a hand full of good craft beers.
Solid authentic Chinese restaurant in brookline
Fast service, friendly staff, good pretty authentic Chinese restaurant.
When at least 70% of patrons are Chinese then we usually know we've hit a pretty good place. Ma po tofu is quite good, Dan Dan noodle is ok (not spicy enough), eggplant dish highly recommended, dumplings are good, .... I have gone back at least 8 times in the last year and it has been very consistent.
Good comfort authentic Chinese food - can't miss....
Barlow's is great for lunch or dinner. I usually go there for business or maybe a for a drink with co-workers. I will say that the sweet chilli wings are absolutely fire and their burgers are great to. The beer selection is good as well but it doesn't change that often!
