When I first went to this place, the air and feeling of this place was nice. Its small but is still a great place to hangout with a friend or two for ice cream. Surprisingly, it was a bit crowded when I got there at around 8 pm. The staff working there was very fast and efficient at their job. They were also nice too. I got sweet cream with Reese's mix ins and it was SO good. You could chose any mix ins you want in the list as well which is pretty cool. The texture and taste of the ice cream was delicious and the Reese's added a great touch of flavor. It just left me wanting more even though I already had a good amount of ice cream. I really recommend coming here for some excellent ice cream with a fair price!
The ice cream is always made fresh since June 1976. Get there early because they are known to sell out of some flavors. This just makes you try another flavor, and next thing you know, you have a new favorite.
I love places like this. The Ice Creamsmith has clearly been an institution for longer than I have been alive, with pictures and news clippings decorating the walls from long before I was born. Their ice cream is all made in house, which we sampled pure to check its quality before ordering. I am a big fan any time the staff gets to share their favorites, so I had to get one of those reccomendations. It just so happened that after picking Eric's reccomended vanilla malt milkshake that we found out Eric himself would be the one to make it for us. I can confidently say the milkshake was delicious, and that I only wished that I had had more to drink of it despite its large size (this is more of a testament to how good it was). I think this is the kind of locally owned place with high quality product and enthusiastic staff that is worth going out of your way to visit.
The classic American icon of an ice cream shoppe. The servings are larger than expected. The flavours are typical of the Boston area featuring coffee, walnut, and sweet cream. Birthday cakes are also available as is an ice cream of the month subscription.
Parking is not available with limited street parking for the brave. Likewise you'll only find a single bench outside for seating.
I highly recommend a visit to The Ice Creamsmith accompanied by a stroll. Yes, it's worth it.

Very good place. Good ice-cream, good service, average price, homey ambient, and always found a place to sit within their small tables.
I live one block away and have been several times, but can't find within me why I don't love it more. Perhaps it's that nothing has truly ever surprised me (Not extremely friendly service, but it may be that they're usually in a hurry. Taste and flavors are GOOD, but haven't found any outstanding one. Servings are not huge and price is not "cheap", but is within average market). One thing that may affect my loyalty as a costumer is the closing during winter. I've found myself various times during winter driving to Scituate for a good ice-cream.
Nonetheless, I have always enjoyed my time and ice-cream there. So, there is no reason why they don't deserve the 5 stars.
The ice cream are superb and the staffs very respectful and friendly! I always go there! This is my summer place!
I got the sampler which was absolutely huge. I got the sweet cream, vanilla, coconut almond chip and chocolate hazelnut. Luckily i got a lid! The chocolate hazelnut ice cream for April 2022 was the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my entire life. The chocolate was perfect and there was so much real hazelnut bits throughout the entire scoop. I am so sad i came the very last day of April. We live 9 min away. This is our new ice cream place. Forever.

Lovely little place with a yummy selection. Great staff. Cute vibe. Reasonable prices- we stopped going to JP licks and come here instead. Only downside is the seating is limited (just a couple tiny tables). We go often!
We have lived in Milton for 20+ years and continue to love this place. The staff is always very nice and the consistency of the product and experience is everything we could ask for.

This is your classic neighborhood ice cream place. Homemade. Fresh. Quality. End of story. Yes. Worth the visit. Inside they have about 4 small tables with approx. 12 chairs. There's a bench outside. Street parking. (FYI-no restroom here.)
