It's a very solid place to get some banh mi. I usually get the traditional one to determine how it's going to be. The bread has a nice soft chewy interior. It's not too dense. The flexor of the mayo and pate is wonderful. You can tell that they are professional at making this by the speed at which they make a banh mi. I also tried the grilled beef banh mi. This has a little sweetness to it. They also serve a bunch of other Vietnamese food that you can try. I wished I tried them, but I had to pace myself for the day.

Got the bbq pork Bahn Mi. Very much worth the hype! The line looks long but went quickly. A great deal for an excellent sandwich.

We ordered for a breakfast delivery to our Airbnb. Our list was pretty long and good that they didn't mess up anything. Importantly, we could get our order in the early morning.
As a Vietnamese, the food was decently acceptable. I ordered the sticky rice. Amazing that there were lots of toppings but it was not really flavorful.
Anyone wants to give a shot, I would recommend trying Banh mi at this place due to the combo of mayo and pate.

good food, friendly store but long line if you pick the lunch time going there... they do catering too and the food quality is above standard...although some ladies don't speak English I have to point at the item and sign language as if I wanted big or small portion of the take out food,it did not discourage me and my husband keep going back for more, although the food there are getting really pricy now, but you know what? We shop to support locals right? and its' always good food there so it's a win-win

I saw this place on a Boston foodstagram account, and I’m so happy I stopped by. They have a lot of Vietnamese food. I got tofu banh mi and a peach oolong tea with boba. The tofu banh mi was stuffed with vegetables and tofu, and it had a splash of a nice savory sauce in addition to the usual banh mi sauces. The peach oolong tea (not pictured) was refreshing, but the boba had varying textures. Some was too mushy, and others fell apart when bitten.
Heads up but there aren’t any chairs here.

Wow wow wow I only went for the sandwich and I was not disappointed my friend cly told me about this place. I will be going often now. Barbecue beef wow just outstanding, make sure you say no spicy if you don’t eat spicy food because they use the really hot jalapeños in the sandwich. I want to go back and try some of the rice and noodles they have available. The best price in Boston I seen new Vietnamese sandwich spots now I’m making sandwiches cost $10 even seen one for $14 craziness!!!! and all the same size. I got three sandwiches for 20 bucks, I had the expenses combo cold cut sandwich lol I wanted to try them all, so much options I will go at least every other week for a cheat day meal.

Fantastic sandwich for $7! I recommend the BBQ Pork.

Wow, such good great food. They even have a side bar for drinks, like Cafe sua da, Vietnamese coffee, fresh juices, bubble tea, etc. Fresh made banh mi and a lot of other great variety of Vietnamese cuisine.

Ba Le was recommended to me by my cousin. So we stopped by and had to try it out. Let me say the interior of the space is a cozy market where you can find some fresh produce and Asian products.
The service counter had a ton of delicious options and everything smelled great! Of course I had to scoop myself up some Lol Mein, DELICIOUS! Very flavorful and served hot!
The Sandwich was super flavorful as well. Decent size sandwich for the price and the spice level was moderate. Could use more spice. Still it slapped! Definitely met up to it's hype.
Go check it out!

My favorite spot for breakfast or lunch! Of course visit for their Banh Mi, but they have a toooon of other options like rice plates, spring rolls, banh beo, noodles, etc. I always get the fresh sugar cane juice, I'm not sure where else offers it fresh any more. They also seem to have pastries now as well! This place is definitely affordable spot for lunch. However, lines can get really long because of how popular this spot is. If you order ahead by calling, that should shorten the wait time by a lot.

Some of the best Banh Mi in the greater Boston area for sure, the place is a grocery store and deli with a good selection of sandwich fillings, my 2 favorites were the BBQ beef and dry pork and the Vietnamese coffee is the best, I wish every cafe I stepped in had it. Sandwiches were fresh and delicious, the bread was soft and crusty and healed with fillings in front of us, we took some rice and pork dishes home for dinner later. The shop owner was very friendly and inviting, struck up some conversation and helped us find a dried shrimp ingredient we were looking for. We also tried the spring rolls, very tasty and a good value for money! Definitely a staple of the Dorchester Vietnamese community, I will be coming here again!!

I was hungry for a good lunch. I Got here at noon. A bit of a line since I did not order online 1st, as they prefer. Which is smart.
But since this was my 1st time at this location, I wanted the whole experience. 😊
Well , I ended up leaving with leaving wiith lunch, dinner and dessert for 4 people. 😁😊😁
The types of authentic, fresh and delicious Vietnamese food was amazing!
I am pleasantly surprised. This take out restaurant was well beyond my expectations!

Seemingly quite popular as the line was still long at around 2 PM! Lots of groceries and food available. Staff are friendly and courteous. My beef banh mi was pretty good. Not the best; the baguette definitely could’ve been softer, and the meat could’ve been warmer. But the taste was good, the sauce was perfectly sweet and savory, and the pickled vegetables perfectly balanced the whole thing with their tanginess. Looking forward to trying other stuff from here.

First time going in and I was blown away by how many different options there were. I was in a bit of a rush which prevented me from exploring more than I would’ve liked. Bakery goods were unbelievable. The custard & bao were delicious and very affordable.
Ordering process for hot foods looked a little challenging. I’m unfamiliar with Vietnamese food so I was unsure what to order. I’ll be back soon to see what else I can expose my taste buds to!

When you want a decent banh mi, you are at the right place. They perfected their pate and Vietnamese mayo sauce. The portion is above par. The best way is to order ahead via phone if you don't like to wait in a long line.

Okay I literally just left here the woman that took my order was very friendly and patient with me as I asked her what certain things were. Passion fruit smoothie is probaby the most amazing smoothie I’ve had so fresh and delicious. I sampled a couple bites of my food that I order and immediately came here to leave a review. I will be a regular customer ❤️

.... As we chewed the bread, crusty on the outside, soft on the inside, we oohed and ahhed. Each bite brought slightly chewy marinated tofu

Matt is still interviewing for and waiting to hear from medical schools, meaning we basically don’t know where we will be living in the fall. We could be New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia…or we could also end up staying in Boston. Because we just don’t know, we’re making a concerted effort get out of our Somerville/Cambridge bubble and take more advantage of the entire city of Boston (and beyond) while we’re here. Our latest adventure took us to Dorchester, Chinatown, and Allston in search of the best banh mi in Boston. Sure, it was a little random, but we both love a good banh mi and we thought it would be a great (and cheap) day of eating. It was also a fun way to explore some new-to-us neighborhoods. We started at Banh Mi Ba Le in Dorchester. This colorful shop looked promising; I tried to ignore the delicious looking fresh spring rolls and sweets on display to focus on the task at hand. I ordered the Barbecue Beef Banh Mi (right) and Matt went with the Tofu Banh Mi (left). The m

Bread was very, very good, but not perfect. It was crusty on the outside as expected, with a slightly thinner crust than others I've had, which was not a bad thing at all. But it just lacked that slightly chewy inside that I
